[X] Goldfish

How about giving her Wall of Sand instead of Sound Lance? She's more of a support caster, so maybe she doesn't need a direct attack spell. It's not like we'll ever send her off alone, after all.
Otherwise I would suggest having her learn Poison, which is arguably an even better spell for her. She has a familiar who can hold and deliver touch spells and who can Dimension Door, which is a rather good combo.

We know from some of her interludes that she wants to be a more active combatant. Sound Lance is a solid offensive spell for a Divine caster. It seems like that would actively color her choices for spells she learns automatically. She can still learn Wall of Sand and Poison this month, if you want. She has the rest of the month free to study up on new spells. I also want her to learn Panacea, Life Bubble, Restoration, and a few other useful options.

I want her to learn Polymorph. It would combo very well with Divine Power, at this level.

Archivists have access to a large spell list ("all divine spells"). There are many classes that can cast good spells as divine spells : archivists are therefore very interested in getting some of those spells.
How we could get them :
  • Lya could make scrolls of them. She can make scrolls really easily, and cast Wizard spells as Divine spells.
  • We can probably buy scrolls off-Plane.
  • We have a bunch of divine casting classes (Adepts, Rangers, etc) that can give Archivists better spells than clerics can. Give a Ranger that quill that makes scrolls automatically, and Leila can be casting Hunter's Eye! Give an Adept such a quill for a few days (and we have Dalla on hand) and Leila can be casting Lightning Bolt and Polymorph.
Leila wants to be a combat monster? She can cast Polymorph on herself, share it with her familiar, and together they can wreck face with shared Divine Power and Hunter's Eye (goes great with something that has a pile of natural weapons). Bam, instant murder in melee. Heart of Earth and other long-term buffs are just gravy at this point.

EDIT : This Chameleon handbook has a lot of Divine spells listed by class. It's a solid resource for Archivists, and while I seriously doubt we'll ever get access to most of those PrC lists just giving her Ranger and Adept spells is already a step up.

DP lets us abstract spells of 5th level and lower now. We have so many crafters using Quills of Scribing now that it's not worth the effort to try to keep up with them, so it's just an undifferentiated pool of scrolls that are available at levels one through five. You can see the current numbers that are available on the Armory page.

Basically, we already have a scroll for any spell Leila could want to learn.

Right now, I'm thinking Panacea, Restoration, Life Bubble, Divination, Divine Power, Poison, Polymorph, Blessing of Fervor, Recitation, Mass Shield of Faith, Wall of Sand, and Summon Monster IV. That might be a bit much for this month, though.

EDIT: I would include Freedom of Movement in there, too, but she'll have access to that through gear upgrades.

Wow, she can do some buffing.

Wow, she can do some buffing.
Yep. And we're gonna hook her up with a Quill of Scribing this month, too, so that she'll be able to stockpile useful scrolls without having to withdraw them from the Armory or spend time scribing them herself.

Combine her scroll collection and Uncanny Forethought slots, she'll be prepared for any situation a spellcaster of her level could be expected to encounter.

Also, yes, we do have some barghests and Legion Devils and a few other minor Outsiders from the trip to Hellven.

I failed to search-fu the numbers, like the levels of Melisande, Bonifer, Darkstar, Riz'Neth and Yrten.
So they aren't here for now.

Didn't include any of the slimes from Sothoryos b/c I don't think we can control them well enough to a degree that they'd be of use here where plants/undead won't be.

Outsiders:
24x Advanced Erynies (the rest are tasked with bodyguard duties) (CR 9)
Mereth (Erinyes Racial HD 9/Steel Fury 2)
Sarell of the Black Scales (Erinyes Racial HD 9/Paladin of Tyranny 1)

4x Asura Vayphaks (CR 5)
Missing Bloom the Brijidine. We shouldn't be leaving a CR 17 Vassal out of something this important.
Don't leave out Svitran, this is a good chance for him to get XP as a Cleric of Yss.

Same for Argo the Minotaur, and every other Minotaur Fighter. We even stocked up on those Giant's Grown mushroom caps specifically for them to use against the Golden Company.

Edited Bloom, Argo and Svitran in, thanks a lot!

Minotaur fighters seem a tad too... flimsy compared to our other available forces, tbh.
They are people too, we can't exactly throw them in the firefight to PCs, disposable undead, and will-be-reborn-in-another-body plant-creatures. I think?

What's Svitran's level?
On that note, halp with dis plz:

Dude, the Minotaurs aren't flimsy at all, they're basically tanks. They've all got +1 Reinforced Segmented Adamantine Fullplate, and Valyrian Steel Greataxes. They're meant to go up against the regular soldiers of the Golden Company while others take on the PCs.
What's Svitran's level?
On that note, halp with dis plz:
Svitran is bordering level 7 IIRC. Depends on whether or not DP rules he's leveled. Still, he's a cleric, he can mostly stick to buffs and healing if needbe.

Give me a sec.

L'right, adding them in, then.

Eh, level 7 is fine...ish.
I'm worried for people less than level 9 amidst the "regular" GC warriors, let alone any sergeants, or DP forbid PCs. But he can be of use I guess.

You're more worried about this than you should be. If they end up dying we will raise them. A level loss is unfortunate but not the end of the world.

Besides, Serpentfolk are OP as fuck. That spell resistance alone is unbelievably high.

Fair enough, it isn't Squids, we probably can afford to lose minions long as it isn't soul-death and we get more kills of GCs forces in return...
