[X] All of it, more knowledge is always useful, all the more so for coming from a unique source

Nice.
Not as interesting as the Wu-Jen side of things would be, since that is partially interchangible with our Wizards, but still nice.

And here we go, just what I hoped for.
I am glad it worked out this way.

-[X] Take care to only copy any lore present, though - best not to leave anyone a connection to scry on.

Even if anyone in Yi-Ti learns that we are applying some otherwise super-secret lore (highly unlikely, due to distance and wards)... We can safely say that Phoenixes/Genie/ruins in Sothoryos revealed it to us, and it wouldn't even be much bullshit.

@DragonParadox, the lore in question likely being the means to train Yi-TI -specific classes, yes?
also this art may need editing.
I assumed we would be making copies, but it wouldn't hurt to specify.

You know, this Waters persona is pretty much Viserys pretending to be his own secretary so he can brag about his "conquests."

[X] Egoo
Not exactly? I mean we've never really used it to show off, just make under the table deals. This is more pretending to be a guy in our own sales department so we can deny personal involvement in any agreements made.

I am confused about why we "admitted" to working for ourselves.Wasn't the whole point of this to keep some separation? We gave her just enough information to point to us, without actually giving her anything that would set her at ease in regards to working with a stranger.

We could just as easily pretended to be working for a "venerable lord of the western isles" and it would have meant just as much to her, without revealing us in the least.

Interlude DCLXXVI: The Last Weapon
The Last Weapon

Seventeenth Day of the Eleventh Month 293 AC

In the Shadow of Sarnor

For Elyra time passed in a haze of pain and nausea, the horrid madness of the present mingling sickeningly with memories of the last day she could remember clearly... the sun had been so bright but her mother's smile had seemed to outshine it. She had found work, good paying work of a kind that was rare in Volon Therys. She would not have to do slave-work anymore. Lord Zherys had opened the manacles, but this job was going to be the thing that allowed them both to leave them behind for good. In the moments of painful lucidity that came and went without rhyme or reason as the drugs surged through her system the girl cursed that day with every ounce of strength left in her body. If it had not been for that hope...

She could remember her mother's terrified expression when the wizard's men had grabbed her, but no more was it just blackness and rough hands, strange voices speaking tongues she did not know. The sole triumph of her captivity had been when she had managed to bite the wizard when he had reached for her carelessly. Elyra could remember the next few moments with terrified clarity, he'd cured her of her poison just so she would be able to understand him when he threatened to pull out all her teeth and one look into his glistening fish-belly grey eyes was enough to know that it would do no good to plead.

"You ain't gonna need teeth where you're going you little bitch..."

The girl could not say how much of what had happened next was real memory and how much the black dreams that mingled with it, but she remembered fingers that were nothing but yellowed bone reaching around the sorcerer's shoulder and squeezing until blood squirted and then saying something in a tongue she didn't know, though somewhere at the back of her mind she felt that she should, as though she had heard something like it before long ago... or maybe in a dream.

Days flowed by behind her blindfold as she was jostled and thrown about in the cart, from somewhere nearby she could hear something that sounded like the baying of dogs and the clatter of iron-bound wheels, but when she opened her mouth to ask for water something else came out, words she had never heard before but somehow knew the meaning of, "Igi... me... am." Let me see.

The cart stopped abruptly, voices were raised in anger, the dogs, if dogs they were, barked louder and they sounded even worse, more like the wail of the wind through an unhatched roof than any living creature. Something sharp and hard pulled at her blindfold, tearing it free.

For one breathless terrified moment Elyra wished they had left it on, for the thing that had freed her sight was no living man, but nightmare and monster all at once, a thing of bone and rusted iron that seemed to be almost be a part with the chariot it was riding. Ragged cloth... or was it boiling shadow... the only thing that covered his hollow bones. Ahead of his chariot were horses just as dead their mouths chained shut, their eyes forever blind.

Next to them the hounds that ran alongside the chariot as half twisted corpse half ragged shadow almost did not matter. Of course there would be monsters, Elyra knew, she had always known. What did it matter that some looked as horrible on the outside as they were on the inside, maybe it was even some sort of justice. The only justice you could expect in this world. There were other chariots just as twisted racing over the withered grass, the dead drawing the dead forward to war. There was nothing she could do but wait for her fate.

The dead man said something and for the merest blink of an eye hope sparked again, but the words whistled to the cold night air scattered it like dust and ash. "Soon your first life will be given to fuel the walls of the Kingdom Reborn, and you may join us in your second."

Elyra spat at him and she did not even regret the moisture lost to her parched mouth.

OOC: And here we go our first sight of Sarnori undead and yes Elyra here was kidnapped from what is now the Empire, though technically it was before Volantis and its territories officially joined. She is the sacrifice for the temple Melisandre and company are camped in front of, the descendant of Sarnori who survived being sold into slavery.

Okay, with Crake I could feel the normalcy and celebratory vibe from his Avatar.

Also for anyone interested those are actual Sumerian words kind of, there is 'see' and 'me' in there, though of without pretense of grammatical correctness, but this is a fictional language so I can pretend that's how the grammar works. :V

Hm.
The Undead of Sarnor may just be coming in more priority, than everything else before Illithids (that being an expedition to Valyria and/or looking for snek-cities).
Once Tiamat is dealt with, I think we should pay the visit to their lords and hill them all off, and cook up all the big groups of low-CR undead.

Then war, then full clean-up of the remaining ones.
I feel like breaking the back of this "kingdom" is much necessary, but long as no CR20 Whirlwinds of NE is created through it, we can just ensure no organized effort is done by the Undead and leave it at that for a bit.

Kidnapping our subjects... even those who are no longer slaves are turned into one...

Fucking undeads, I thought that their Crusade against the Dothraki, whilst cute, is justified.

Enslavement however.

They just sealed their fate faster than you can say 'DIE'. I reckon we deliver all of these fuckheads to Qyburn so that he could improve his necromancy and as a one last spite to their unneeded existence.

They do not see it as enslavement. After all Elyra would become a free willed undead once she is sacrificed, free to be with 'her' people.

I wonder if we can have her do a mirrorvision interview once we've rescued her?
This is a decent PR opportunity, assuming she's sane and coherent.

Oh yeah? Well News Flash for them! THEY AIN'T YOURS ANYMORE!!!!!

Our subjects are akin to a hoard for us. And they have the gall to ''claim their rights'' over what we have acquired from our righteous conquest?!

That's just sealing the death warrant for me. They face Oblivion. No Heaven or Hell for them. Just the Void.

(P.S. I'm not mad at you DP. I'm only LIVID at these fuckheads)

I foresee the OG getting a significant amount of sentient Undead sacrifices in the near future...

Sure, and they only paid for her "travel costs" to be neighborly, not because they ordered her like undead Uber eats. They might see it that way, but they're still going to go to be fertilizer for the old gods.

The only question in my mind is whether the "living" who sold a person to them should be hanged for slave trading or sacrificed for working with the hungry dead.

Well he is a Golden Company mage so I suspect he will be thrown to Yss .

So I suggest we use Rain of Roses on every undead castle in Sarnor we come across and the hordes of Undead that live here. Maybe maximize that shit so they take a lot of Wis damage per round.

If she's actually free willed, then I don't think it will turn out how they think it will, most undead don't like being undead, and being kidnapped and killed like this, is not a positive introduction to undeath, so if she's actually free willed I would expect her to plan her revenge immediately, if the sacrifice forcibly make her loyal to them, then she's not a free willed undead, she's only an intelligent undead who has been brain washed.

So either they have to justify magically changing her mind to themselves, or she's going to absolutely hate them when she's brought back.
