In canon, it was unusual for a Wildling woman to have red silk from Asshai. In ASWAH, it makes me paranoid.

Absurdly tacky clothing. Wildlings really need to get off that screamo binge. Maybe @Goldfish can introduce them to power metal. And then he can introduce Viking Metal to the Iron Isles and Pirate Metal to Saan's colonies.

And since I'm on a roll, here is a PSA about the danger of Unicorns. They're not all friendly paragons of purity!

Interlude DCVII: Tales of Jade
Tales of Jade

Second Day of the Eleventh Month 293 AC

From Dark Dreams Awoken: The Crane Lord of Asabhad has emerged from seclusion, dispelling rumors that he had perished by the wiles of his many foreign-born concubines. Though his year long slumber must have been the work of sorcery he has so far accused none in his court of the deed, merely thanking the Fortune of Restful Slumber for sending a kindly baku to restore him to the waking world. The prince's presence on holy ground and his consultation by many learned sages and wise priests has laid to rest any lingering fears about his identity and continued spiritual purity, at least among those acting in good faith. Agents of the Ancient Guild of Spicers are said to chafe under his renewed rule, some claim even making common cause with rival claimants for the Crane Scepter of the Lord of the Western Gate, though only time will tell what might come of these intrigues, or indeed if the Emperor should decide to intervene, either reconfirming the Crane Lord or granting another the office.

By Fickle Winds: Traders from Turrani have been recently seen in Yin where before their goods could only be acquired from the men of Leng Yi and Leng Ma, all born to Explorer Families. Why the Emperor has allowed the sons and daughters of traitors and rebels to trade unharmed in the markets of Yin few know, but fewer still dare dispute the commands of the Heavenly Sovereign. Perhaps the so called Empress of the Lengii had finally come to understand the folly of her ancestor's decision and has commanded the traders of the southern port to offer up their finest wares to the rightful court in Yin.

Banner of the Screaming Serpent: It is said that the nomads of the Grey Wastes gather in strength under a barbarian lord who has raised the snake-skin banner, claiming that they will put all the Golden Empire to the torch and claim the green south-lands for themselves, a threat that would carry far more weight to it had it not been made a thousand and one times before by every petty chieftain of the savage tribes. The Five Forts have never fallen to force of arms, and only twice in all of history have they failed by treachery and greed.

War of Blood and Stars: The strange war between the Thirteen Bloodless Lords and the Astromancers of K'Dath continue, or at least so they assure caravans passing through the Mountains of the Morn. Yet so far no armies have been seen abroad in the land. Some claim it is battle of assassins being waged, others a battle of sorcery, and still others claim it is nothing more than a lie told to traders that they might pay higher tolls moving eastwards.

Thrones of Salt: A warlord or possibly sorcerer named Izril is said to have united the formally fractious tribes around the Shrinking Sea, making the Salt Road profitable for the first time in generations. A squabble between provincial governors over competing tolls on the road nearly escalated to battle before a young shugenja interceded with the Kami of the Winds to bring the matter before the Fortune of Justice. For now at least merchants investing in the northern trade can breathe a sigh of relief.

The Fox's Dance: The greedy Lord of Jinqi, who delivered the merest of tithes before the Azure Palace, was said to have met his match in the form of a Nine-Tailed Kitsune who took on the guise of a courtesan, enthralling the Scorpion Lord and his two eldest sons that they were seen bidding against each other for her favors. After this humiliation the fox-headed trickster was said to have vanished without a trace.

OOC: Keep in mind that these are rumors guys, both distance to the source and the local perspective on the world should be considered.

Here's an edited version of the chapter, DP.

So much interesting stuff happening in the world. Really goes to show that even with all we control, and all that will soon come under our sway, the world is a big damned place that moves on with or without our input.

War of Blood and Stars: The strange war between the Thirteen Bloodless Lords and the Astromancers of K'Dath continue, or at least so they assure caravans passing through the Mountains of the Morn. Yet so far no armies have been seen abroad in the land. Now this I'm very interested in.
Are we going to expand past westeros to go further west?
We're going to expand everywhere. Eventually the entirety of Prime Material will be under the banner of the Imperium, though that'll definitely take a long time.

Are we going to expand past westeros to go further west?
Let's atleast get basic infrastructure in all of our provinces done first before we think about starting a land war in Magic Asia.

As for these rumors I'd settle for magic and lore trading with all of them first. Should have usefull stuff. Or atleast more PCs to potentially recruit and assign to our ever growing pile of stuff to get done.
