[X] Make a mental note to send your compliments to Lord Monford, if not personally touch base with him, the man really has been working hard and under the most heavy constraints and scrutiny of all your vassals thus far.
-[X] Coordinate with his agents, if nothing else to keep from tripping over each other's feet in a bid to secure Lord Farring's allegiance. Like as not you will have to unravel a mystery and deliver him answers before the man's comfortable enough trusting any outsiders.

OK so there does not seem to be much interest for an Essaria interlude

@egoo @Duesal consider the flesh forge actions done, template corpses thrown in, sellsword bodies dug up, several months of rot have had an impact, the bodies are a total of 780 HD, none greater than 6 HD.

"Kobolds are extremely fecund egg-layers, having the highest birth rate (and death rate) of all humanoid species. A female kobold will lay a clutch of hard-shelled eggs two weeks after fertilization; the eggs must be incubated for an additional 60 days before hatching. Kobolds reach maturity by the age of eight or nine and are considered "great wyrms" by the age of 121. They live up to 135 years. While they do bond with one another, they have no concept of monogamy."

So slow by our standards, but lightning quick by other races standards.

So I thought for a while about making this post because I'm not quite sure how to begin, I don't want this to feel like I'm fishing for compliments or reassurance but it everything OK with the quest guys? Are things still interesting to play or am I am I pushing in a less interesting direction?

I've noticed there is less investment than usual recently or at least that is what it feels like to me and I'd like to know your thoughts on the matter as well as any suggestions you might have for improvements.

Mmmm. For myself things have just been busy, and my presence has felt rather superfluous. Things are pretty well in hand so... We go on.

I'll probably get back into it when something more within my wheelhouse comes up

I'm just not having fun dealing with Westeros.
Lannisters are a special case, and them aside, I didn't, and don't, really have any interest in politicking side of things...
Unlike, say, Crake.

Different things interest different participants, and I'm okay letting people who enjoy this having their fun.

My dude, we have fun in different ways. Plenty of people were fine with hunting down gribblies and battling in high CR encounters, but I enjoy political intrigue. Don't get me wrong, I also enjoy some combat and fights and stuff, as well as world building, so I've enjoyed interludes as well, but it's different strokes for different folks.

Plus you gotta admit, I was patient and well-behaved until Lys over spending so much time popping around killing bad guys. Eventually I will hit a point where I'm like "can we go back to doing what I'm good at again?"

Edit: Also, I work full time for a living... and actually, I work every other weekend, so I don't have a lot of free days where I can totally hit the board and post a ton, too.

Still try to make time what with my job being in a cubicle though.

I get that people have different interests, I appreciate it but well I'm not seeing debate, people don't get worried, excited or interested recently, there's been a lot of single line delegation with the vote count hovering at 10-12 votes, I don't know it just does not feel as lively around here...

Maybe I'm just seeing things and ascribing to patterns what really shouldn't be I don't know.

I enjoy reading this quest a lot. The last few QM updates have all been good. I've just been too busy IRL to post a lot.

I'm wrapped up to my eyeballs in local elections here in New York, so I've just been reading on my infrequent breaks between two jobs. You're doing great.

Ah. This makes a lot of sense. I noticed this too.

We've had all our big arguments already.
Right now we haven't had any huge surprises for a while. We're working through things that need to be done, but that aren't really controversial. Worst case we have mild disagreements (I disliked a few details of Crake's winning plan, for example - he didn't tell our new vassal to keep his mouth shut about our plans regarding economic warfare!) but it really isn't worth having big arguments about them. Crake can just have my vote, and then in a few hours I'll enjoy reading the next chapter.
Which I did!

I expect us to have contested votes again once things heat up. But the last few updates have all been interesting, surprising and entertaining, but haven't really been controversial, you know?
I'm not asking for a million SURPRISING TWEEESTS or anything. This was really unavoidable unless we decided to send our vassals to handle it. But using Viserys for this was obviously just massive overkill. It makes for interesting NPCs to meet, but isn't exactly tense for us. We can literally do a little recon, walk up to him invisible, and talk him into swearing to us and fixing his problems. Bam!
This was interesting to read, but didn't exactly require a big pile of debate to settle.

You guys already know that uni is starting up again so my participation is going to go way down. I have no issues with the story right now. My participation will probably go up on the weekends. Till then I will probably not argue and will likely continue to delegate.

To be honest I would amend my plan if people brought up any issues with them, but they clearly didn't point them out, or they do, the plan gets amended without argument, then adjusted again based on other comments, then continues to be voted on without issue because...

...there are no issues?

It is a basic, open plan with lots of room to make more specific movements later on. Fact is, by the very nature of it there can't be major issues, because the only real decision in it is to work with Velaryon's men and I think everyone agrees on that.

Once we know more about the situation, something might even come up that deserves more discussion than... I think it was templates for Kobolds? Or maybe the morality/utility of Kobolds, I don't know.

I meant your plan to give the guy a pile of magic items. I suggested cutting it down A LOT, you cut it down just a little. I still wasn't happy with that, but I was busy and didn't want to have a huge argument about caution.

A suggestion for the current plan : what if we buffed them like crazy and moved on to the next one?

I meant more in general but yes, this isn't the most contentious action.

Like others have said, I'm also just really busy, especially at work right now. It's seriously cutting into my questing time. It's actually really getting on my nerves that I can't get back to my phone to check on the thread more often.

The quest itself seems to be doing great to me. I think we've actually spent as much time on this month as the tournament month, but it hasn't felt log at all because everything has been flowing really well this entire month. It's also has some of the best interludes of the whole quest.

As for votes seeming low, that's just a matter of readers being too lazy to vote combined with timing constraints, I think. Participation seems to have remained high and we also seem to be getting a lot of new readers lately, too.
