If anyone has a better suggestion, feel free, I am happy to delegate.

Right now I'm voting for diplomacy because once we can suss out what they want, I can start planning my approach. Or if they run away, we can get a recurring villain with a motivation more interesting than "DAMN YOUUU VIIIISERYYSSSS TAAAAR-GAAAAR-YEEEEEEN!" *blasting off again ting*

Whack-a-mole is boring. I'm bored.

The arc is boring me because we are pulling weeds that never stop sprouting. One thing I've noticed is that we stop having a problem from a particular vector the moment we stop treating it like resource extraction, and we have means of doing that activity in a controlled environment instead of our populated cities, from behind a dozen wards and inside of a killzone.

The last week I've been repeatedly plugging in "[ ] Goldfish" because I've had nothing to contribute to mechanical heavy votes. If we didn't have to house keep Fey or devils or whatnot, I would have been able to push for the Crownlands or the Reach after the Stormlands this turn and had something worthwhile to contribute.

I can't leverage "go stomp on fire fey" for shit. I can get us no long-term gains from that. I can't even posit how two more combat updates and another three updates of ruse-cruising would be fun to read about right now. I'm bored of it.

Yeah, I get the frustration, it's the other side of having a big world with lots of players and powers in it is that the gears can get tangled in small scale options without future scope. We have been haveing a lot of mechanic heavy votes lately but we will be moving more towards strategy and politics soon.

Still, we should check and see if he's stirred anything up of use. Even an introduction to a smarter element of resistance would be great.

Just talking to her isn't going to help with that, we need a place to strike. This kind of weeding work is the place of minions, we don't need to personally wrap up every part of this. As far as we know, Yemri hasn't made any real moves here to make it worth our time.

We can just move on to setting up for all the tables we're going to flip to allow the Deep One fight to happen unimpeded

This isn't a bad point, honestly.

Can we go to the Crownlands now? I could use some politics.

If anyone is okay with this possibility, I don't even.

[X] Abstain

Don't take me too seriously right now, I honestly am fine with compromising with a combat vote. I expected Goldfish to show up sooner, actually.

I'm just not seriously invested in plucking every thread if the result is "wow, don't we pay people to do this?" at the end of the action chain.

Just to be clear on this, you guys can have Viserys leave right now, there's a full party in Lys and I could resolve this in an interlude or even in the background.

Hey, I get the general sense of frustration from feeling useless to the discussion.

Welcome to my world, pal.

Its just that inefficiency in this sort of actions really riled me up, a single thread unplugged is likely to blow up in our faces later simply because our enemies are assholes and we have lots of big, "everyone is needed"-fights soon.
And then it would be even more clean-up on our shoulders.

Ergo, I try to finish this now, to the fullest extent we can.

I've been stupidly busy today. Training new people sucks. There is so much crap for them to learn and no good way to really learn it except through exposure, yet they can hardly be trusted on their own until they learn a bare minimum. I've been spoiled for the last few years not having to bring new people into the fold.

As for a combat vote, if the Fey Muse proves hostiles, I'm all for ganking her.

I'd normally agree with this line of reasoning, but the Leanan Sidhe represents an element that's a cut above the normal Inquisition. If we don't take care of her now, then that ties up resources we could be using elsewhere in future months, either by wasting baby adventurer time or Companion time.

We're here, and we just got the Hooded Lord, so we may as well finish off by subverting or otherwise dealing with the most powerful enemy agent we're aware of and then leave the smallfry to subordinates.

For what it's worth, after this I really want to go to the Crownlands. We have vassals to steal from Jon Arryn's corpse.

[X] Approach the fey muse you know to be an agent of Ymeri
-[X] Parley via Sending. Let them name time and place. Richard and Viserys
-[X] Further investigate the fey killings in the Goblin Market
--[X] Rina and Malarys
-[X] Ask the Hooded Lord to provide any intel he has on the muse, as well as send his enforcers to aid Rina and Malarys in their investigation.

Did not mean to trigger you, like I said, I am just bored, not even frustrated. I want to do something fun again.

...Truly, our definitions of "fun" don't align well.
You do you, I guess.

...At least well get to see Viserys be in position of power, a neat contrast to asshole Fey.
*grumbles about fey bullshit*

Yes, I am the necessary evil around here, thank you for recognizing my rightful ascension to the throne. :V

I don't really want to talk to a fey aligned with Ymeri because I can already feel the rampant fanaticism as well as general feyness combo coming.

On the other hand my general lack of investment as well as uni being an absolute bitch is making it hard for me to be petty and that is like 50% of my contribution on this thread. So I will trust Duesal to do the smart thing and be more invested in the upcoming turn plan.

Hopefully the Muse is aligned with Ymeri out of something other than loyalty or some sort of Fey obligation. While it would probably make combat unlikely, it could give us an in with another Fey faction.

I hope so to. Managing to get her away from Ymeri would make our lives a lot easier, especially if we can use her as the basis for a subordinate Court of Fire where we dump other Fey we steal from Ymeri.

@egoo don't mean to be a pain in the ass, but I've been meaning to ask. In regards to your map edits, could you edit back in the name of each province as you color over them? I can dig up Azel's version, but @DragonParadox unmarked it so it's a pain in the ass (too, :V) now.

Okay, I've finished most of the Provincial Strategic actions except the Research ones, since I still need to look over @egoo's notes for that and then probably shoot a few tags around to talk about what we're prioritizing and why, but other than that I need to figure out which PC is doing what this turn next, update the Military sheet, finish the accounting for the monthly expenses, and then do the full turn-plan write-up draft.

[X] Hello New Minion
-[X] We want the Hooded Lord as our vassal to rule the Goblin Market in our name
-[X] What we ask is that he heed our laws and follow all the other rules of being a vassal and a citizen, and should he come into the possession of secrets that are of interest to the Imperium (the movement of enemies, and nefarious plots, etc) he then pass it on to the Inquisition or directly to us depending on the severity.
--[X] We have no problem with his current form of taxation (a small cut of every bargain in the Goblin Market), it's just that our taxation would be him passing along vital intel when it comes into his hands.
--[X] We also want to make it so that it's not possible for mortals to accidentally wander into the Goblin Market, that they be guided back to Lys should they wish to leave, and that there be at least some regulations on unfair bargains from some of the Fey we encountered in our investigations. Nothing too stringent, those bargains will still be possible, but they must be informed decisions on the part of the mortals.
-[X] What we offer is our aid should he ever need it, equipment for himself and his enforcers from our artificers, full legitimacy as a Lord under us, freedom to traverse the Imperium as a citizen and partake in the markets of Sorcerer's Deep and the Spheres beyond, etc.
--[X] This includes a Calligraphy Wyrm, a Whispering Brazier, etc, everything the lords of the Imperium have.
-[X] Further, ask if there is anything in particular he wants. If it's not too much it can probably be granted.
-[X] As a side note, to help sweeten the deal, inform him that the Nameless Fey that has so troubled him has been dealt with. //OOC: Illustrates the use of having the Dragon King at your back.

@DragonParadox, can the Orphne Lord add a few IC suggestions to the deal? I tried to be as fair as possible while enforcing our demands, but I probably missed a few things.

Are you giving him a pass on paying actual taxes? That's what it reads like to me at the moment.

It is his duty as an Imperial resident to pass on intelligence in relation to enemies of the state.

The currency of the Goblin Market is secrets, which coincidentally is why we never did business there.

There is no money to be taxed. As a result we're taxing the only thing of value that gets passed around.
