Well, that just makes it more ominous.
Oh well, another one to chalk up with Valaena's Nemesis shadowcaster...

@everyone, all in agreement our actions from here being:

1) having a talk with Maenads that Inquisitors seem to have "freed" and learning as much as we can, while setting boundaries for their faith.

2) going to Lys and doing out best to resolve it after we have stopped progress by taking people off - and that not to mention there being an apparent 3rd party acting against us and Fey both.
?
Well, Lys first, but not yet. Our immediate action should be intel gathering. We need to know just how serious the Efreeti raid into Valyria really is.
Please do that Valyria-delve next month if you are so excited, this one we'd have to sacrifice a pile of projects to get together a party.
We can leave it be for 5 more days, for sure.
Once again you're misinterpreting me. If we can leave Valyria alone, great. If the Efreeti have contingencies for sending in immediate retaliation that doubles as a secondary raid, like hell we're letting it happen.

As a note I would point out that a CR 10-12 mage is not surviving in Valyria without a miracle. There are enemies in that region that eat that kind of creature casually.

I wonder how much Tywin would give for these automatic anti-Dragon Launchers?
...
I want to try to seek them to him (in disguise, of course, and probably through his agents on the Plane of Earth).
Let's take our golden devil disguise again, find that spy, and start bargaining.

I'm not planning on actually giving them to him ! I just want to see what he offers us for them, and to get another chance to turn that spy further. This is a great intel-gathering opportunity!
And who knows, perhaps he will send Lanna to negotiate. That would be amazing.

Once again you're misinterpreting me.
To be fair, so far all I've registred was "lets loot that VS Spike they may have been after, or whatever they really wanted there".
I think I can be forgiven for this misinterpretation.

Questioning the body and looking through the book won't take much time anyway -

But Maenads are kinda time-sensitive too, imo.
I'd rather get a first-person account from them...

And set them on repaying the damage done by their sisters and the "mad cleric" to the Empire en-large, and Westhaven in particular.

We might just be looking at another divine patron if we spin it well.

A couple, maybe with Vee on hand, though there is no way to know what mental state they are in in they live.
Heart's Ease doesn't cure mental instability, but it puts the patient in the position of mental cognizance and capability of recovery, right? So it's not a completely fruitless gesture.

The Maenads are captured and locked down, they are not time sensitive. If anything the Goblin Court, the actual active project, is the only thing that's time sensitive.

Not!Viserys: "Hello there!"

Tyler: "GAH! ...I should put a bell on you!"

I'm 100% serious about my plan to pose as black marketeers trying to resell those anti-Dragon turrets to Tywin though.
It's an amazing plan, it'll only take a few days (we have another potential buyer lined up, what's your offer?) and it'll be great fun OOC ! It might even end up with us poaching Lanna !

2 Lightly Damaged Sword Class Ships
3 Moderately Damaged Sword Class Ships
1 Heavily Damaged Sword Class Ships
That name will just not do.
I propose the name seagull ship.
19,500 Great Brass Seals: Furnishings and art of efreeti officers, includes a small number of looted Valyrian valuables, but is mostly of efreeti make. Could be used to establish a museum exhibit on life for the elite of the City of Brass for educational/propaganda purposes

So it was actually the Exploration fleet of the Efreeti council of culture and anthropology, and we captured Efreet! David Attenborough.

Will form a vote as soon as I get home.
I used your proposal as a guideline since I agreed with the reasoning.

[X] Cleanup Time
-[X] Loot Distribution
--[X] Ships
---[X] Give all the ships to the Shaitan, but with the understanding that we would pay for their repairs and elemental rebinding so the elementals aren't continuously tortured (or finding new oath-bound elementals if the current ones refuse the deal). Ask that the Shaitan lease all six ships to us for a suitable length of time (a decade would be ideal), along with helping us crew them. They would still technically be in service to the Opal Throne, but under our nominal control.
----[X] We ask that our own shipwrights and budding enchanters from the Imperium help out with rebuilding to get trained in the higher techniques so we can start doing this ourselves (especially learning how the ships function in dead gravity zones), and we ask for books the Shaitan might have on ship-building techniques. //OOC: Given that ownership of all six ships is being given to the Shaitan, getting knowledge of how they work isn't a big request.
--[X] Weapons
---[X] Claim all the Automatic Dragonslaying weapons due to the use you could have for them soon
---[X] Ask for one example of the Force-Launchers and the Disintegration Throwers for your researchers to study
--[X] Mundane Loot
---[X] Claim the Great Brass Seals for the planned ritual in the future
---[X] Establish a museum in collusion with the Djinn using the art seized from the Efreeti and the Asura to educate people of both foes
---[X] Split the rest of the Asura's collection three ways
---[X] Make it clear we intend to share every piece of tactically relevant intel we recover from the Efreeti Mage book and the Asuras (this will mainly be troop movements, plans for future expeditions throughout the Spheres, the plots of the Grand Sultan and the Grand Vizier, etc.)
-[X] Offer the Cyromancer Djinn Archmage and your powerful subordinates who needed the call for this fight enough cash for the loot of a single CR 20 encounter.
--[X] Give Siduri that ornate necklace wrought of gold and black pearls she was eyeing.

-[X] Use Scribe's Binding on the soul of the Efreeti Mage and use the usual spells to quickly read the book and get the following:
--[X] Get a list of the Efreeti Mage's spells that can potentially be learned from the book
--[X] What was the Efreeti's goal in Valyria?
---[X] And how did they even find out about it?
--[X] What treasures do they know the locations of in Valyria and how did they plan to reach them? More to the point, what stops the Grand Vizier from simply teleporting there and running off with whatever they were after?
---[X] Learn what contingencies where in place for that particular expedition (immediate retaliation force, the Grand Vizier himself showing up, etc) and whether or not we need to be gearing up for round two.
--[X] What ongoing or dormant plots is the Efreeti Mage aware of that would be of interest to us or our allies?
--[X] Get any and all relevant military information the mage knows -- fortress locations, army movements, logistics, the locations of key personnel, the locations of enemies who could be persuaded to work with our alliance, etc.
--[X] What research projects are the Grand Vizier and his apprentices working on?
--[X] Where is the Grand Sultan at in his quest for godhood, and what different methods has he tried so far and which ones is he currently pursuing or considering pursuing?
--[X] What deal does the Brazen Throne have with Asuras in general? Are they being recruited en mass or was this a special circumstance?
--[X] What are the abilities of the Grand Vizier and his other apprentices? What vulnerabilities do they have?
---[X] Further extract any and all intel that could be of use to the Living Brass Forge scheme or the intelligence agencies of the Shaitan and Djinn
--[X] What would his familiar do with his body given the chance?
--[X] Get every last outsider name the Efreeti Mage knows (from Fiends to Efreeti)
---[X] In particular get the name of the familiar that managed to escape -- also ask if it has any means available to have its nature changed and render its true name useless
--[X] Before the Asurendra was slain he said, "Strike me down and you shall draw the eye of He whom you most fear, little idol." Does the Efreeti Mage know the details of this statement?
-[X] Interrogate the Asurendra trophy
--[X] What is the name of the Asurendra?
--[X] Get the names of the fiends the Asurendra is aware of, along with what type of fiend they are and where they are
--[X] Before he was slain, the Asurendra said, "Strike me down and you shall draw the eye of He whom you most fear, little idol." What, exactly, did he mean?
--[X] Who are the Asuras at war with currently and where are the major fronts?
--[X] What is the nature of his deal with the Efreeti?
--[X] Are there more archfiends colluding with the Brazen Throne? If so, what are their natures (what type of outsider) and where are they stationed?
--[X] Identify the Asurendra's loot

-[X] Interrogate the captured Upasunda Asura
--[X] Get her name
--[X] Get what true names she knows
--[X] See what she knows about the various plots woven among the Asuras, Efreetis, and Devils
--[X] See what she can tell us of her former master in particular
--[X[ Get the locations and natures of other Asurendras that she knows of
--[X] See how viable she could be as a potential recruit

Interrogating the dead may be more troublesome than the living, but with patience and the aid of a skilled diviner it can be done just as well," you conclude before flying one last circle around the newly secured fleet.
That's unfortunate.
By a stroke of luck all the Wheels of Far Travel had been either intact or so poorly sabotaged that a few minutes work had been enough to get them in working
This however, is amazing.
Not sure if it is relevant to your calculations guys, but just in case I should point out the flag ship is the most damaged ship since it's the one you had Balerion chew on.
He's a good boy.

We're already getting all outsider names, but I'll single the familiar's name.

It doesn't matter if it's now or years from now, but that thing will not escape.

As a note there I asked DP if it was possible to summon said familiar, new body and all, through his true name and he told me that there was a small chance that due to it being a minor devil. It's nature could have changed.

Edit: Not small. A chance.

As a side next month we should try to see if we can use the soul of the guy to try and track the body through the staff. I don't like that he could still be alive. If he is dead then that is great but him being alive bothers me a lot.

Edit: In that I mean we divine him this turn and keep an eye on his movements and if he isn't heading towards the thing we can hit him next turn.
If we can pull that off, we could try some other stuff to mess with the asura.

If he's still in Valyria kind of want to try weaponizing Sympathy.
If we set a big undead dinner bell around his neck there of all places the only thing we'll need to do is power wash the efreeti's blood off his loot after they're done with him.

It's even nice and fluffy; we target a soulless husk that walks even though it should be dead and resonate it's connection to the idea of un death.
If the fluff about silver cords connecting disembodied souls to their bodies in the ethereal plane applies here we could use that. If it doesn't, those skulls might have a connection to his body considering they were supposed to allow him to move his whole soul around between his vessels.
...It feels kind of weird to hope for a hole in mind blank.

Just a reminder Commune with Texts gives you perfect recall of the entire texts for an hour per level after casting it.

So for 18 hours even if we hadn't already specifically asked we will instantly have any information we need.

Wait, no, don't give the ships away! I want all of them, y'all. They are enormously valuable to us.

Those ships represent significant power projection for us. They're powerful, heavily armed, capable of Plane Shifting, and they're already awarded against hostile Teleportation.

PR. By giving them away, we are showing power and being polite.

In any case those ships are probably powered by enslaved elementals or something. We'll build our own ships, with black magic and hook horrors !

Okay, how about one ship to each empire for PR? That still leaves us with four ships.
