This one is kinda a toss on DP's part - we decided early on when planning this turn that its either the convoy (more strategically important, but depends on us rolling well on info about it), or the snek (less strategic importance, but us going in means a mini-adventure with counter-ambushing all the hunters who'll be drawn to the snek's Mindblank dropping (because we scry it)).

Unless we get a direct confirmation that there is no info on convoy, I'd rather not vote on Snek, sorry.

It ios not late enough in the month to worry about convoy info. That should arrive roughly between the 25th and the 30th

Fostering the starting glimmers of a relationship that is not wholly antagonistic seems a worthy goal by its lonesone, considering they are apparently there to stay. (Could just kill them all, but too many other irons in the fire).

And either way we can't have all that many characters with us right now - we used up almost all of Companions' free days in Sothoryos and most are busy doing their allocated actions now.

I don't think we can quite pull most people off their projects any more, if we are to look anywhat reasonably at action economy aspect.

If we go for Char-Serpents now, we'll surely have no one free for later

I'm not as worried, but nothing stops us from using the Raiment of the Four or Yss to answer the questions. We can even offer F!Renly the chance to ask some questions of his own.

1. The style of blood magic stands a good chance of being from Valyria. The Yellow Emperors were famous for having a Valyrian Dragonlord marry one of their emperors. Her children probably inherited her sorcery, and she probably taught them everything she knew of blood magic. Funnily enough, the Sorcerer Lord of Carcosa might be as much a scion of Valyria as we are.

2. These blood mages definitely seem worth recruiting. They're few and hard to find, but from what I'm looking at here they're mid to high level PCs easily. So long as they're willing to play ball they'd be worth seeking out when we have the time.

3. Now where to recruit adepts of the Middle Way... The Old Man is likely just staying a contact for now, but maybe some of his friends will be interested?

True, but we'll have to filter carefully which of them signed already for other employers, like our friend at court who's loot we didn't get.

I hate this and I hate her. But I am more than willing and able to use her and her allies to get what we need to win. I dont want an alliance with this bitch but I am more than willing to let her help us against the threats that truly matter (not us).

Edit: She doesn't have Mindblank... that is a lovely bit of idiocy on her part. I wonder how many of her plans are already known to her enemies.

Your comment about her lacking Mind Blank prompted me to go back and reread the relevant sections, she and Brandon at the very least do have Mind Blank rings, they just temporarily removed them so we could verify that they would be at the parley, then put them back on once we commented on the fact. You can safely lay to rest that concern, at least.

Probably through getting it from the Court of Stars, which is its own problem given what we saw with Mace.

This. This is very useful. We can both send out our mages under this guise, and use divination to find the "wandering sages" most in need of financial, magical, and military assistance. And then use those contacts to squeeze out information.

He's not gonna let us off without a bit of preaching though. They are understandably wary of blood magic.

I want to be upset, but if they were the kind to be openly accepting of blood magic we would probably be planning how many weirwoods they were worth. Given this is DnD and all.

Well that is a relief. I sincerely can honestly say that she isn't as much of a danger to our plans as I though she would be.

Edit: Although any alliance and agreement with her will have to come after the peace talks succeed. If they succeed.

EDit2: The above does not pertain to the plan being proposed as we are having the Djinn research her friend and not us.

By the way does the Mother already have a chosen? Because I am beginning to fear it could be Catelyn "I'd like to speak to the manager" Stark, and I don't think I could hold back on the religious war if that happens.
