I want to talk to his zawmbee snekiness now, thank you.
[X] Go to the Plane of Fire and seek the Undead Hollow of Jazirian, to feed it devils and efreet.
This one is kinda a toss on DP's part - we decided early on when planning this turn that its either the convoy (more strategically important, but depends on us rolling well on info about it), or the snek (less strategic importance, but us going in means a mini-adventure with counter-ambushing all the hunters who'll be drawn to the snek's Mindblank dropping (because we scry it)).[X] Go to the Plane of Fire and seek the Undead Hollow of Jazirian, to feed it devils and efreet.
This is much better. I forgot completely about Zombie Snek. What do we have in our corpse feed?

Unless we get a direct confirmation that there is no info on convoy, I'd rather not vote on Snek, sorry.
It's Egoo's vote, I'm just voting for it without namevoting Egoo.@tarrangar , perhaps seek assistance from them with Tiamat. We are stretched kinda thin on PCs if wanting to hit 2 locations, am curious what 'Chosen' means in mechanical terms and this allows us to observe her. Further, let such risk life and limb against extraplanar threats for a change!
Fostering the starting glimmers of a relationship that is not wholly antagonistic seems a worthy goal by its lonesone, considering they are apparently there to stay. (Could just kill them all, but too many other irons in the fire).
[X] Tarrangar
And either way we can't have all that many characters with us right now - we used up almost all of Companions' free days in Sothoryos and most are busy doing their allocated actions now.It ios not late enough in the month to worry about convoy info. That should arrive roughly between the 25th and the 30th
I'm not as worried, but nothing stops us from using the Raiment of the Four or Yss to answer the questions. We can even offer F!Renly the chance to ask some questions of his own.I think we've already pretty thoroughly flipped the Renplacement.
My concern is whether or not the personality we see from the Renplacement is real or just a really well constructed mask, one that he isn't even aware of at the moment.
1. The style of blood magic stands a good chance of being from Valyria. The Yellow Emperors were famous for having a Valyrian Dragonlord marry one of their emperors. Her children probably inherited her sorcery, and she probably taught them everything she knew of blood magic. Funnily enough, the Sorcerer Lord of Carcosa might be as much a scion of Valyria as we are."It is tradition," Li replies slowly. "As to the why of that I cannot fairly give one answer over another, some say that it is because the throne little loved them since the Fall of the Yellow Emperors and so they fled into the wilds, others that the the cities beget temptation for those who are closest to being maho-tsukai, blood mages." He pauses a moment as if weighing what more to say. "The last smells foul to me, of pride and petty fears. We can all fall away from the light no matter what path we walk."
"The Yellow Emperors were known for using blood magic were they not?" Waymar speaks up unexpectedly. "It was mentioned in passing in some of the histories I read."
"Yes... yes much use," Li says gravely. "If the scrolls you made use of are new than they will try to push that aside, but they were mighty sorcerers draped in blood who by it grew mighty as demons and older than the purest adepts of the Middle Way."
"Then the sorcerer lord of Carcosa..." Waymar trails off.
"May well be who he claims to be yes," Li sighs rising from his seat. "Enough of grim tidings for now, the rain is cleared up and the moon shines its blessings upon us all. Farewell Master Corlys. I hope you have a chance to surpass your namesake."
True, but we'll have to filter carefully which of them signed already for other employers, like our friend at court who's loot we didn't get.2. These blood mages definitely seem worth recruiting. They're few and hard to find, but from what I'm looking at here they're mid to high level PCs easily. So long as they're willing to play ball they'd be worth seeking out when we have the time.
Definitely. Cultists of the Bloodstone Emperor are a bad option, we'll need to go for everyone else instead.True, but we'll have to filter carefully which of them signed already for other employers, like our friend at court who's loot we didn't get.
Your comment about her lacking Mind Blank prompted me to go back and reread the relevant sections, she and Brandon at the very least do have Mind Blank rings, they just temporarily removed them so we could verify that they would be at the parley, then put them back on once we commented on the fact. You can safely lay to rest that concern, at least.[X] egoo
I hate this and I hate her. But I am more than willing and able to use her and her allies to get what we need to win. I dont want an alliance with this bitch but I am more than willing to let her help us against the threats that truly matter (not us).
Edit: She doesn't have Mindblank... that is a lovely bit of idiocy on her part. I wonder how many of her plans are already known to her enemies.
Probably through getting it from the Court of Stars, which is its own problem given what we saw with Mace.Your comment about her lacking Mind Blank prompted me to go back and reread the relevant sections, she and Brandon at the very least do have Mind Blank rings, they just temporarily removed them so we could verify that they would be at the parley, then put them back on once we commented on the fact. This. This is very useful. We can both send out our mages under this guise, and use divination to find the "wandering sages" most in need of financial, magical, and military assistance. And then use those contacts to squeeze out information."A sage who wanders beyond the walls of the monastery in which he was trained is obliged to offer counsel and aid where he can by the lore he has gathered and for this few doors are bared to him," the old man smiles again. "So long as one does not make too free with
I feel this is important for number of reasons. Perhaps put Velen on discovering this world's spirituality? Or take hard look through the Djinn archives.with celestial will." The spell you are using almost stutters over the word for in his usage it seems to mean both 'that which is most high ethereal and transcendent and 'that which is naturall'.
Well he's certainly heard of us... At least he's willing to entertain the notion of being incorrect about us.
He's not gonna let us off without a bit of preaching though. They are understandably wary of blood magic."The last smells foul to me, of pride and petty fears. We can all fall away from the light no matter what path we walk."
DP mentioned Lucan used ritual magic for his.Probably through getting it from the Court of Stars, which is its own problem given what we saw with Mace.

If true this is a relief. Also I want that ritual.

Our biggest problem with Mind Blank items isn't money anymore, it's time. If there's a ritual that speeds it up then holy hell that's amazing.
Try "reappropriate".We could always develop it but why develop when you can steal...I mean seize...no that is just as bad.
Edit: What is a nice way to say "steal"?
