[X] Goldfish

I'm a bit worried about the implications of using all our power to finish what the old gods are doing. This really isn't the place to fall unconscious or lose spell slots. We have built up a lot of goodwill with all the sacrifices we've been giving to the OG and they'll probably understand if we cut the connection this one time.

Then we'll retreat and explore heaven another time. Calming down the old gods should take priority.

Rejoice before the glorious killing instrument that is the new and improved Oathkeeper!
Oathkeeper:
  • Alignment: Lawful Neutral
  • Stats: Intelligence: 17 (+3), Wisdom: 17 (+3), Charisma: 10 (+0)
  • Saving Throws: Fortitude: 8, Reflex: 8, Will: 11
  • Senses: Vision and Hearing in a 120 foot radius, Darkvision, Blindsense,
  • Communication: Speech, Telepathy, Read Magic
  • Minor Artifact: 15th Caster Level
  • Powers:
  1. +5 Searing Flame Wounding Magebane Bodyfeeder Greatsword (2d6+5+1d6[Searing Fire], plus 1 Constitution damage, 19-20/x2) w/Dragonskin Grip (+2 to checks vs Disarm attempts)
    • Magebane: 4d6+7+1d6[Searing Fire], plus 1 Constitution damage, 19-20/x2) vs beings capable of using magic or spell-like abilities. This ability stacks with its wielder's inherent Magebane effect, if any.
    • Bodyfeeder: On a Critical Hit, any damage inflicted is granted to Oathkeeper's wielder as Temporary Hit Points for up to 10 minutes. Hit Points lost as a result of Constitution damage via Oathkeeper's Wounding ability are not included in the Temp HP granted by the Bodyfeeder effect.
  2. Bolstered Life (3/Day): Oathkeeper can cast False Life or Cure Moderate Wounds on its wielder as a Free Action. Upon killing a living creature with at least 5 HD, Oathkeeper can instead cast an Empowered Maximized False Life or Empowered Maximized Cure Moderate Wounds on its wielder. This effect is cast at 10th level, but cannot be Dispelled and functions within an Antimagic Field.
  3. Mage's Bane (3/Day): On striking a creature which possesses spells or spell-like abilities, Oathkeeper can steal one use of an unused spell or spell-like ability of 4th level or lower (DC 20 Will save negates). Oathkeeper can then cast the stolen magic either on the wielder or release it as part of an attack as if it were a Spell Storing weapon. Caster Level and saving throw DC for the stolen spell are the same as those of the original creature.

And here's Richard's attack line while wielding it;
Base Attack Bonus: +14/+9/+4 + 8 (Strength) +1 (Weapon Focus) +2 (Melee Weapon Mastery) + 1 (Channel Vigor), Oathkeeper: +5 (Enhancement; ignores Silver, Cold Iron, & Adamantine based DR)
  • Oathkeeper Damage: 2d6 + 5 (Enhancement) + 12 (Strength x 1.5) + 2 (Weapon Specialization) + 2 (Melee Weapon Mastery + 1d6 (Searing Fire), + 1 Constitution damage
    • Normal: +31/+31/+26/+21 [3d6 + 21; 19-20/x2]; plus 1 Constitution damage.
    • Magebane: +35/+35/+30/+25 [7d6 + 25; 19-20/x2]; plus 1 Constitution damage.

You fools. They're gonna drop a nuke on the nearest high CR encounter.

On the other hand, Gods are about to direct a nuke onto the nearest high CR encounter.

-[] There will be a great need for weapons and equipment of supernatural potency in the coming years, perhaps the abundance of corpses can be put to use in the fungus forge? (Progress ??, Cost ??? IM, requires Vee, Requires Livewood sample, and Bronzewood sample,)

Once completed this action would allow us too...

1. Store, create, and use "recipes" for biotechnology (grafts, Symbionts , and certain creature's)
2. Use biomass to create symbionts similar to standard magical or mundane items.
3. Reduce difficulty of future fleshcrafting research projects

Create creatures are plant type, true neutral, usually not sentient

So whats everybody think? Gold cost? Time cost? Material or companion cost?
@DragonParadox

Something to note -- our Runestaff of the Old Gods isn't the only one here. Vee is with us, and she has an artifact Runestaff of the Old Gods.

If we shut down the Old Gods now and don't help them see what they're sensing, they'll just try to see through her staff instead.

A reminder that Dany can Dreamcast Wings of Cover and is dragonblooded if we get ganked. Also, in general, party stronk.

(Hopes it is enough)

That needs a lot more detail work. Right now it's a "do everything" research.
We should try to establish a baseline for the bio-technology, a framework from which to work, then build from there. Start very simple, then work our way up.

For example, the first research could be for simple symbiotes which can be worn like a breathing mask and provide protection from dangerously contaminated air or provide one the ability to breath underwater. Or a face mask which provides Low-Light Vision or Darkvision.

Yes. Yes it does. So what do you mean by "do everything" what would be the scope of one research action for example, and which one would be first? Assuming this IS a tech tree.

Well the first one, Store, create, and use "recipes" for biotechnology (grafts, Symbionts , and certain creature's) is the fundamental purpose of every flesh forge, you do not need to research it at all. The second, Use biomass to create symbionts similar to standard magical or mundane items, should be broken up into various tiers of research, growing a better dagger is easier than say a flaming or electrified sword.

I frankly don't have the spare brain cycles for this right now, so please make a PM conversation with DP, me and other interested parties so that we can work this out later.

Cheap.

And alignment, too.

Epic, with Magebane.
I can't find anything which says a high enough Enhancement bonus allows you to bypass Alignment-based DR. I did forget to include Epic, but that should go without saying when your effective Enhancement bonus is +9.

Richard's scabbard can provide the Align Weapon spell 3/Day, though, so it's not really an issue.

Per the PF rules which allow +3 to do silver/Cold Iron (incidentally, why I lust for +3 VS) and +4 for Adamamtine, +5 bypasses Alignement ones.

+5 also counts as VS, incidentally.
