*sigh*

So, Old Gods are panicking, raging, and going crazy at the moment, with seemingly even the sleepiest of them awake now...

And likely fucking up every plan of Bloodraven's in process.

If we cut the connection just like that, we leave uncle to deal with shit, and I all but guarantee us losing (or having already lost) Varys-puppet.

If we "finish what they started"... I have no idea what went wrong in this part, to be honest, nor what they were trying to do.
@Azel?

I'm not good enough with words to try and diplomance angry Gods in whose eyes we splashed some acid just now either.
You have no idea what's really going on right now, but the Old Gods having a temper tantrum isn't new. You are just actually seeing what that means for once.

I'm physically and mentally exhausted after today, and I'm very much not in the shape to deal with this.

So, my assumption here is that whoever fucked with Heaven also fucked with the Old Gods in the past, and they seem rather upset with them.

Maybe we'll be able to redirect their hatred to a more convenient foe?

[X] Use all your power to try and finish what the Old Gods cannot
[X]Talk to Bloodraven (as best as possible]

The pain almost forces you to your knees and only a great push of will forces your buckling knees to obey. The Old Gods draw upon your power, trying to make it their own to work a tiny miracle, but it does not come. Their power does not manifest, instead spilling from the staff and back into you all while they draw more and more from you in confused incomprehension.
The power was blocked. We're better served allowing the Old Gods to channel our Mythic power and letting them see what they're sensing rather than cutting the connection and having them panic in the dark.
I think their hatred is directed very well.
We shall squeeze blood from whatever lurks here and the OGs will be happy with it.
We need to be careful about that. I fully expect CR 23+ things walking around.

[X] Use all your power to try and finish what the Old Gods cannot

Viserys: The staff looks pretty dead
Viserys: The staff seems to be protecting itself.
Viserys: Lets poke it and see what happens

Edit: One would think he would get a Wisdom Save for stupid ideas

Hm. I was expecting the staff to fail like it did beneath that Other-touched mountain, and to have Bloodraven fail to help this time. I honestly wasn't expecting it to half-work.
Not a bad result, honestly. Risky for us though.

And holy shit people, that definitely was a natural 1 on Maelor's rolls. I'm pretty sure I statted out that Efreet, and he stands very good odds of straight-up killing Maelor and Bronn.

Did you stat out the gear?

I've gotta say, I would expect Viserys to think twice about using the Staff of the Old Gods after seeing its response to be in Heaven That Was. Did he fail a Wisdom check, @Azel?

Maelor is not very good in the 1v1 murdering business.
I would actually suggest he might want to cover the area in tentacles and then flee if he's up against any serious champion.

Ah, but maybe this isn't a stupid idea. Perhaps things will go right and we'll learn something interesting!

If you do something with no knowledge of the results and knowing things are looking weird but hoping the ancient collective of bloodlusted Greenseers goes your way you are being silly.

Viserys was just told Teleport had issues and had a moment thinking on the consequences. Not so much of that after seeing the Staff playing possum
