I'd go the other way.

Westeros needs to be united under us yesterday, so Lucan can shut up and accept it or go down quickly and efficiently.
That's ... not a productive way to think about this. Quite frankly, the Seven - in this context - are a greater asset then Westeros. Ideally, we can get a package deal, but that's gonna require us backing down on our hardline.

To clarify, the stakes have changed, but the situation hasn't.

We still believe our way is right and that the OGs are ultimatly more helpful and efficient, more valuable so to say, than the Seven.
That means we shouldn't suddenly start trying to compromise more.
Rather the opposite, that getting doing this the best way (or what we think that is) is more important than ever.

...am I stupid, or is this easily fixed by Cerulean sign in the outer planes and elsewhere, slowly excluding the deep ones bit by bit? They seem to be the most prevalent foe.
Bad news - I guess the DO aren't interested in reality ceasing to exist (well, may be swallowed by the Far Realm), so, we might have to come to a compromise.

...So, Tiamat next 2-3 months, while dealing with operations on PoF (because finishing Efreeti sooner matters much more now), meeting with Gith (and actually seeking them out, instead of waiting for them to get that letter and answer)...
Then Westeros, while trying our best to stabilise Yi-Ti (cause shit be brewing there), and finding a way to deal with the 15th (because he's seemingly just another symptom here. And the 14 may just be direly needed to us, no matter how assholes some of them are)?

@egoo, you do in fact know that the 15th is connected to Asmodeus in some fashion.
Yes, we do know that he called out to Asmodeus to stay alive, and then fucked up more somehow.
I'm not sure if he's not trying to call out to... whatever Great Void is, just so he could finally die.

That's most of his motivation now from what Syrax told us, isn't it?

Well I would say this is a good reason, to reconsider making Reincarnation available to as much of our population as possible, with how screwed up the planes are we need people for the war, so I think it's a good idea, to make sure our population grow as quickly as possible.

So time to design a reincarnator in the Fungus Forge, and have said reincarnator offer reincarnation at cost.

I agree! We should double down on getting a true peace treaty made between the Seven and the OG! Then we can have the aid of both groups! With different strengths in different areas and the ability to better split their attention to different things. We need many differing minds being strong. Not a few very strong minds.

That or take out "we" in your post and stop acting you speak for people who explicitly have been for trying to achieve peace between the two from the get-go. Seriously, I've been putting up with someone doing that IRL today, I see no reason to just let you act as if everyone agree that killing the Seven is the best way forward without at least saying "cut that out"

Just a random thought, but you guys do have enough lore to call upon Asmodeus for answers if you want. And given what happened with Mammon, he might consider Viserys important enough to answer.

I seriously doubt Asmodeus yearns for death. If he wanted he could walk straight into the Void and that would be that.

I'm sure that he will act in a totally honest manner. (Not "Truthful" but "honest" :p)

That said.. we may need to someday :o. Not right now though, would like to check out heaven a bit first, speak to Jazrin and such.

We are going to make complete peace with Seven, assholes as they may be.
We are going to talk to Asmodeus.
We are...
...We may be panicking too much right now.

Sorry.
By "our way" I mean the way we've been running our empire in general, with bloodmagic and hookers, not the specific attitude towards the Seven.

What I'm saying is that we need to resolve the situation quickly. My preference how to do that is known (Maegor did nothing wrong), but if there's another way that doesn't compromise our promises made or our profit from actions like sacrifice and mercantilism I'm fine.

Well, now we know why Thinaun is so heavily regulated by the Shaitan. This shit is virtually priceless, since you can basically use it to make an Eldar-style soul receptacle.

Also, anyone else suspect the OG might have been created by ancient mortals who were seeking a place to keep their souls rather than trusting them to end up somewhere other than Hell or the sucking black pit that used to be Heaven?

A gaudy demon skull would destroy the timeless elegance of Oathkeeper. Big no-no!

A blade that looks like the black, subtly star-lit sky, with a golden hilt, purple grip and a grinning skulll for a pommel. All of it shrouded in blood red flames.

A simple blade is the best showcase for it.
