Huh, so Luncan's definitely the awesome Elder Brother Brienne and co met on the Silent Isle. Just that he's literally had his god give him a divine mission.

That was almost assuredly talking about Mammon, he's a golden serpent, and it's to his part of hell, that the souls of the Lawful Evil filled primarily with greed goes.

I don't think Yss is a golden serpent, he's certainly a snake, but I always thought of him as green.
I thought he was silver? Isn't that why our company that uses his divinations for profit is called Silver Serpent Enterprises?

[X] Approach Septa Maer. Dywen would like her thoughts on Lucan's arguments, but also of Fey who would deal in good faith as much as those who might be openly duplicitous in their motives for striking a bargain. At this point we know he is trying to control mages, but it could simply be cold practicality that is driving him to compartmentalize potential threats rather than lump them all together before he's even gained any semblance of control over mages, his original charge by his deity.

You almost don't have to guess by this point, the logic follows that he might want to form a militant arm to arbitrate dealing with the Fey rather than commit to a two front war with them. Clever, if so, if he gets his army he can just deal with threats that manifest and leave the others alone, or even gain allies with them given the Court of Stars won't have much love for us either--ironic alliance, yes, but one that can splinter.
What would be the best manner to introduce the knowledge that bargains, even those made in good faith by relatively benevolent Fey, can include such precious resources as one's own soul?

If we want to sow dissension, that's a nice bit of ammunition.

How about we straight-up reveal the Court of Stars' master plan? Showing how honest bargains can lead to a horrible fate for all (including innocents who didn't make any bargains) should be an absolute bombshell though.
We'd have to figure out a plausible way to know that though... Perhaps a vision from the Stranger?

Yrs is Red with his scales framed in gold, that Viserys looks a bit like that in dragon form is pure coincidence actually.

Silver Serpent got named like that so people didn't consider Yrs a shareholder of it

Never watched, never read, don't care :V

Oh no.png
You missing on some quality writing and memes.

So I'm assuming the best option available to us right now is to go to the movers and shakers separately and try to sway them to opposing sides instead of attempting to contest Lucan directly in a battle of social fu?

That is the safer bet because Lucan can likely outsocial Viserys in this particular instance because of his adept knowledge of the Seven, but even if we cause dissent in those movers and shakers it will still leave the majority of people on Lucan's side.

Unless I'm just misreading this whole situation, which is perfectly possible :p

Don't forget to vote, y'all.

If you have concerns with the current plan, it's better to express them sooner rather later.

I don't even know where to start with all this tbh. We basically let the first vote pass because we needed it to see how it goes but other than revealing the fey plans and citing kingdom law I don't see how to make sure decisions don't get passed.
