We already undercut this market by providing that healthcare. This would be sneaky in a setting where we couldn't just set up the institutions ourselves, make them free, and then negate the means other religious establishments have to try to get a stranglehold over the market.
Mmmm.

I have no idea what your hacking at.

I think your trying to say doing this wouldn't matter because well just make charging for magical healing illegal for churches?

Which... I think kind of plays out? I am totally unsure though if you could clarify.

We already supply free healthcare and will continue to do so. We do not need the Church of the Seven to do this for us. That creates potential competition which we do not want.

Lucan must be planning something impressive if he expects to get enough additional votes to accomplish anything noteworthy.

Kyle's goals and Lucans's cannot possibly align, and Ollidor's are diametrically opposed to Lucan's.

Maer will oppose him by default simply due to her stance on magic.

Anglatine is harder to pin down, but she's a fan of Danelle, so not likely to align too closely with Lucan.

Even if he gained all undecided/independent votes, Lucan won't be able to accomplish anything as the factions are currently arranged.

I think he might be aiming to just completely turn over the Monopoly board and seize power within the Faith, coup style. He probably thinks his mages and Angel give him the power and authority to accomplish it with relatively little opposition.

It would probably cut down some immigration yeah.

So better for us if they attempt to do so and come off as greedy for it?

If that's the case can we sleezeball it up and use it as a wedge between the more charitable and greedy members of the faith?

Edit: that was a question, sorry.

Nope, and that's why I'm mostly convinced it's what he plans.

Cue the dramatic arrival of Dragon Jesus to save the day!

Sharing our suspicion with lord hightower is basically essentially then.

Wouldn't want to risk him thinking we started hostilities. (We're both under mindblank).

It may also be worth it to let Danelle know. Her alignment means she would have to vouch for us on the Faith's side. (It would also make her the only super high profile chosen).

Bringing Danelle into this is asking for the blood of a Seven's Chosen to end up sprayed all over the floor of the Conclave by another given how low level she is compared to Lucan.

...wait a sec.

Where...is Danelle right now? Asking for a friend.

Dude she's coming to the conclave.

I think. Let me check.

She isn't speaking.

Depends.

If allowing him a militia and mages almost certainly creates a Baratheon/Faith war (we can support that reaction through our influence in council), wouldn't that be good for us?

We don't really need such.

The Baratheon side current chances against us is "lol" given we can trigger the VarysBombTM with a message and the other 2 branches we like.
And the Faith is meant to be shamed by us to get the Old Gods to do something more useful than maintain their murder boner.
