The rituals and ablations required to ascend to trumpet Archon would likely require several months... and... well...

O.k.

Listen.

Were not good.

Part of being an Archon is casting away doubt and uncertainty about righteousness and the way the world should be.

We've...

For goodness. For all of goods creatures. Our effectiveness has likely created a LOT of uncertainty. To put it as mildly as possible.
Personally, I'm hoping that when we have enough Mythic Ranks to get our own Outsider breeds, he will become a Lawful Neutral thingamabob like the Erinyes under our rule. Alignment wise he could still be Lawful Good, just like how Leto would stay Lawful Evil, but loosing the Good subtype to symbolize that he is putting conscious effort into his morals instead of simply being programmed that way.

Eh, they should, but just look at the result and compare it to other monsters that size.

Is a 11HD Outsider with Level 9 Cleric casting really worth CR 12?
Take a look at the Couatl: Couatl
Similar casting, one HD more, the stats and natural SLAs are actually better. Yet CR 10.

Example for a classlevel being worth less than a CR, if you give one of our Erinyes a Wizard level, I would say it doesn't raise her CR at all.
She can't use the magic in her armor (and if she could CL 1 spells would be of extremly limited use anyway), the 1d4 doesn't help her much, not even the BAB is raised.
Only a bit better willsave and the HD itself would not be worth 1 CR more.
While that is a point, that's not quite the case, IMO. Rather than being a useless wizard level, Archons in general mesh quite well with Cleric levels. Better saves, more hp, etc. Not to mention the Legion Archon has very useful SLAs at its base.

I'd make a case for CR 11 at minimum with him.
Yes. Some sort of uncommon ascension would be Viserys' best guess based on his planar lore.
Ooh, yes please. @DragonParadox, when the time comes can we design the custom Warlord Archon?

The conceit is that Viserys is the stick while the world is a rabid morass of corruption and hatred.

When it no longer is, he's an anchor around which justice, peace, compassion and rationality can reign.

We'll start having issues if we start pulling a Palpatine and go mad with power, of course.

Hmm so Archons can swear to deities correct? If he were to swear to our Imperium deity, which we will be making, would that allow for an uncommon ascension?

To be fair it will probably be less surprising than it is for these guys.

Archon, Bastion – d20PFSRD

10 people is now one person. Also that person is a building.

The more you know~

A Planetar assisting Lucan would mean one thing. Since Solars are more like amalgamated souls than a very righteous one, this Planetar could be Hugor of the Hill.

[X] Azel
If he's Hugor of the Hill then I demand his crown of seven stars, @DragonParadox.

He's bound to us already via willing fealty. No need to swear to the pseudodeity.

You know what?
Archons can do a fusion.
Archon, Bastion – d20PFSRD

Though bastion archons are among Heaven's most powerful defenders, their formation results from the intertwining of lesser archons, starting with the least of them all, lantern archons. Rarely, when a group of at least nine lantern archons is turned back by an overwhelming invading force of fiends, the group can use their gestalt ability to form a whirling globe that stands its ground.
This brave act of defiance usually lasts only half a minute, buying the lantern archons' allies time to escape before the gestalt is overcome. In such dire situations, a nearby shield archon—a combatant of Heaven more suited to serving as a bulwark against tides of evil—can transpose itself with the squad of lantern archons, using teleportation to take their place. But this interaction of abilities has unpredictable outcomes, and rarely, rather than swapping places, the two entities meld in a brilliant flash of light that sends nearby evil outsiders reeling, leaving a crater with a nascent bastion archon lodged in its center. The bastion archon is initially stuck in the ground where it formed, but it retains many of its component creatures' defensive and offensive abilities. If it survives, it eventually pulls together a huge, four-armed body from the surrounding terrain until it is fully clad in stone, in the process becoming infused with power greater than that of any other archon. A fully formed bastion archon stands 30 feet tall and weighs 15 tons.
9 Lanterns and one Shield can form a Super-Archon.

And I'm out for today, heaven be fucking crazy.

Edit: And ninja'ed on this very weird info.

So with Yrael we should keep having him rule and fight until something clicks? I kinda want to ask Yss what great deed Yrael has to do. Yss would know considering he is probably older than....everything

It's not that odd?

Pit Fiends can basically do the same thing. They can literally shape Lemures into other Pit Fiends.

Archons having something similar, even if far rarer, isn't out of the ordinary for outsiders.
Pit Fiends can choose to invest the power to promote another devil.

That's not comparable to a high-end Outsider just suddenly forming from far weaker parts.

Having him liberate and then pacify Slaver's Bay really should be enough to do it. That's a major region with hundreds of thousands of people suffering enough to summon daemons by accident.

@DragonParadox Is Malarys done with his part in the City of Brass infiltration yet?

@Azel If he is, I think we should bring in Malarys as backup. He has all the necessary skills for the environment and he is powerful enough to hold his own. He just gained access to 8th level spells, one of which he currently has prepared that y'all might find interesting: Sacramental Seal – d20PFSRD

It's a very nice ranged capture method.

Well then he can lead that liberation then. We will help but that operation can be on him.

Edit: I am mostly invested in this as a matter of pride. No way in hell am I accepting the Seven having a more powerful celestial than us.
