Her actual problem is she's never had her own money or power, so of course she doesn't know how to manage it, she just knows how to wheedle it out of others.
Hence the tutor to teach her how to use it. I considered a steward, but that wouldn't lead to character development. Also worse case scenario she puts herself in debt to the crown, then we send her back to her relatives.

Let's give her some magic and just talk with her. Be friendly. To get her brother on side we need her to want to do it. People can change. Besides she's good to have.

Considering what the Martells have seen of Viserys' magic Nym might consider it a safe enough bet to try.
D'awww... they like us so much that they would allow us to cut them open like a fish and replace their internal organs with the tumor like monstrosities Vee has grown in the depths of our heathen god powered mad science laboratory...

Rough vote-shape proposal. Potentially insufficient diplomancing, but I'm in a direct kind of mood tbh.

[] Be straightforward with the woman "Lynesse Hightower, you are, from what little I saw, a very clever woman who, because she was born in Westeros, has been prevented from using her mind to the fullest (I can't imagine the frustration). So I'm not going to bother trying obfuscation. Yes, I am hopeful that with your aid I can successfully reach out to your brother at some point in the future so as to reduce the loss of lives as much as able. " //get that out of the way, (broad reasoning due to war vs westeros, war vs citadel, war vs Ithilid), (if she pushes tell her that the situation is more complex than can be explained in a short conversation, i suppose)
-[] For your own prospects in the meantime, I have two main suggestions I think you might find worth considering, either apply* to join the scholar(i)um, and study magic (which is tremendously handy in day to day life, and will open many doors), or alternatively, we are opening a place of higher learning in a few months to study various non-magic topics, beginning with economics and then expanding available classes to include [uhhh, art?]
-[] Of these are just suggestions, take some time to see Sorcere's Deep
-[] Something about money or living expenses (can she cover that? should we? If she feels awkward, we can just say "consider it a zero interest loan, that your kin can cover after you have had a chance to reunite with them", I suppose)

*Now here is where I have a problem with my vote. As I see it, being able to cast wizard spells of the first level is just... crazy useful for life. Being a mage opens so many doors that were closed before, and is imo, great. But I am hesitant to over-promote as she might not meet Taena's standards. Dunno.

YES! I PUT AN 'I' IN SCHOLARUM! what 'cha gonna do?

Also, I hope she gets into the Scholarum and is treated as a pre-mage like everyone else by the more skilled reality warpers (wording specifically chosen to imply the difference between a skilled mage and a generic Westerosi noble).

Pretty much, ladies never actually get an education beyond the basics and a bunch of religious crap from a Septa.

AND THEY CAN EMBROIDER! Don't forget that vital skill, the importance to ALL OF WESTEROS SOCIETY that all noble ladies have at least some ability to EMBROIDER!

@thread any point in giving the woman a disguise ribbon or is that just not worth it/too late? Personally I feel that this (her being in SD) is something that we can't hide (for long) due to the Mormont end of things, but thought I should raise the idea incase others think it might be useful :)

Multiple times I pointed out with characters that the most common form of education a bastard might receive, beyond maybe a parent taking interest in turning them into a steward or castellan somewhere and teaching them numbers/warcraft, is the same that every single child receives. Some women only get this kind, in fact, and nothing else except Faith shaming: Repeating House names and words and keeps and Kingdoms, over and over and over again, thousands of times, sequentially, until they have it memorized.

Samwell could probably tell you about any House banner you pointed out in a tourney, then go on to explain their words and where their keeps were. It's the fact that he can go further and explain their areas of expertise, the victories they have won, who sided with who in which Blackfyre rebellion, and how long ago it was one of their members last wore a King's crown, that makes him stand out. Everyone else with a noble's education can do the basic stuff, but once you get into warcraft or history or economics related stuff it means you were bred for a purpose generally speaking, or your parents were extraordinarily farsighted or open-minded.

and the tree sacrifice.
I don't suppose you'll roll whom we have summoned for said sarifice thoughout the month now?
:/

(34 True Names of devils from Brachina - Priority)
(?? True Names of devils in Westeros and beyond from Varys - Priority) ((includes those devils that were trying to take Benerro down, but we never summoned them on-screen))
(128 True Names from Uniila - not a huge priority due to not being connected with Mammon's PoB-operations directly)

To strong, we can't go that hard against Westerosi ideals in front of someone that isn't great at keeping secrets. Tone it down, focus more on "Due to her position" rather than due to Westeros as a society.

I will before the sacrifice proper don't worry.

She's not worth the investment of time or resources, when all signs point to her being a source of future problems if we keep her around. She's a product of her environment, so I feel mild pity for her, but that doesn't mean I want us to have any part of the dumpster fire she's certain to cause.

Reasonable point. I was led to believe she had some degree of intelligence that might be worth making use of, but if I'm mistaken then so be it.

eh, just wanted to properly ogle over the veritable hoard of sacrifices a little before we actually started pouring them down the OG-drain.
Each monster was an accomplishment so I understand where this is coming for. Also we need to figure out a way to quickly kill that Wight Lord because he is in an amber sarcophagus and that is hard to sacrifice.

Oh! @DragonParadox, did that new fey subordinate of ours, the one that was trading humans to devils, actualy knew any True Names for us?
Those Devils are certainly a direct target for our summonings.

Why do we need Lyssene again? From some comments it feels like her personality makes her be more trouble than it's worth, specially for something so sensitive.
