Bastard but he will certainly do. We don't really give a shit about it. It is too bad that Castamere currently belongs to Lanna. I wouldn't mind restoring him to his ancestral home.
He is a female bastard's child, far indeed from being recognized as a Reyne by ordinary custom even if he could prove that much.
A bastard, yes, but of the blood nonetheless.

We can work with this.

He needs to be power-leveled right alongside Jeyne.

That's a risky way to summon fiends...
Still, if it works, it works.

And if she wants precious crafter-time and legal exemptions, she can give us some concessions too!

More seriously, even if this isn't worth fully becoming our vassal she can at least make some concessions. Owe us some favors, etc.

We have a lot of people we want to power level. Also they are missing a normal caster. Psionics is great and all but I want to put Joran here even if he is weaker than them.
The nice thing about power-levelling people is that the more you have, the more adventuring parties you can send out.
And conveniently, we aren't lacking in enemies! Hell, Valyria alone would be enough for our needs, let alone our other wars!

TOUCH OF HISTORY THAT SHIT. It will at least give us a Deep One to scry on.
Very much agreed. Whatever happens we are using that spell.

Fortunately we have a bunch of appropriately-leveled Scholarum magelings to send with them. Failing that, there are Advanced Druid Creature Lotus Leshys.

@Duesal, pretty sure that most of our Scholarum magelings can't beat level 5/6 without years of effort or a sufficiently traumatic experience that we probably shouldn't be deliberately inducing on our own people (terrible management right there, even if it's "for power").

@DragonParadox, is this correct? Or is it only that they can't beat level 5/6 without seeing deadly battle ?

Level 5 was what I was going for, not beyond it. Jeyne is level 5, and Ser Roger is between 4 and 6. All they need is a level 5 mageling.
Another thing our Inquisition is good for. Finding out about local magical incursions. For our mages and heroes to fight. I do love the spy agency we made.
Not to mention all the First Men Barrows we know about now and are poised to clear out.

'Deadly battle' will get you to 5-6, going further is where the trauma and grand destiny comes in (they usually come together)

Garin has a Level 5 Sorcerer he wants to test in hopes they'll break the threshold and become Inquisitor material. Perhaps they can assist him and we can gain another Intrigue action on top of it? And you could even throw Scarbrand in there for the extra muscle/give him a chance to level.

Bam, ready-made party.

Of course there's obviously other configurations you can have. We got lots of spare adventurer candidates.

  1. Within the next month or so would be good though she will take two even three months form now
  2. Something that can tank, maybe do some battlefield control with combat maneuvers as well as of course survive the plane of fire.
How would she feel about a Tattoo Guardian?

If I can squeeze in one for her inked by Lya next month, that would be a good development step for Lya to make the Advanced version I designed for herself during the 10 month.

Suggestion: how about having him fail to beat level 5/6, and have an interlude after the hard-fought battle with the mageling celebrating his hard-won victory and Garin hiding disappointment/pity at not having a new apprentice with great potential to match his bravery and character in the Inquisition?

@DragonParadox

Viserys doesn't have any fancy tricks besides raw combat instinct (Full BAB) and bursts of inhuman strength (Power Attack), but how would most Knights view Viserys' sword fighting abilities, lacking most of the common Fighter feats?

Savant handed a sword, or battle-hardened veteran?

To be fair he's kind of a combination of both (just look at his Knowledge distribution), I think he's been in at least a hundred life or death fights, though he only spars with Waymar and perhaps Richard with the sword (though you couldn't possibly ask for better practice partners).

It just amuses me that Viserys can pick up a blade and make people grumble about how stupidly easy anything Viserys does comes to him, or more funnier thoughts like Darkstar's "if only you made that your focus, you'd be Arthur Dayne or the Dragonknight come again in no time" and wishing we were a more traditional warrior-king before remembering what being the Dread Sorcerer got us.

Well, I wouldn't be doing the dice rolling there, so as DP says, it all comes down to the will of the dice gods.
