Alright while this is happening. @Duesal what kind of dinosaur do you think we should give the fey lord for him to hunt a creature for us? I want a shadow bear but what is the dinosaur equivalent?
I was actually thinking of trading him dinosaurs for fey creatures...

We have dinosaurs and we have half-gorgon cows for particularly unique animals to barter with. @DragonParadox, would 16 Half-Gorgon Cows and an assortment of dinosaurs be enough to purchase the Orphne King's sixteen Shadow Creature horses for the Royal Stables?

Also, @One Autumn Leaf, I was thinking of the Vestment of Ebonsilk for purchasing a Shadow Creature to be tossed to the Fungus Forge. That should be plenty, and honestly have a bit of leftover value which could be put towards something else.
@DragonParadox you said that the fey king could hunt creatures for us or shadow creatures at least. Can he also hunt other templates? Say, hypothetically, the hero killer template?
We already got hero-killer available for research thanks to tossing corpses to the Fungus Forge.

But I would love other templates.

This is a point I've been at for quite awhile yes.
The time of fearing for Viserys's life is far over; and his kingdom (Imperium, whatever) has the best of everything on Planetos. The best army, the best navy, the best magic, the strongest people, the most divine intervention etc.

Everything now is essentially a victory lap after you've beaten the game where you see how powerful you can make your character before the game splits in two.
This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it easily justified why people are less patient for skullduggery and prefer to take things head on in more flashy ways. :p

That is just the stuff you know about, excluding the mortal factions many of them with supernatural support.

Victory laps might be a tad premature.

My issue is that the word "attack" immediately caused no less then 3 people to express their dislike for a plan they had never seen and nobody bothered to ask what my actual intention with Crimson Lotus was. When we need to carefully maneuver across a whole continent, two planes, 9 Fey factions and who knows how many complications, this is extremely off-putting.

The issue here is that all subtle plans need time to mature. We need to take steps now so that they bore fruit in a few months, so that we can implement the next steps, who hopefully finish in time for the invasion of Westeros.

Attack is a pretty loaded term, Azel, and the wording does matter. My reaction was based on the reading of it as unilateral aggression, which isn't an unfair conclusion to make. It would help a great deal, though, if you were less opaque in your motivations. And to be blunt, we've asked you to explain your plans before, and you've given the same sort of reaction you did to the nitpicks.

Put simply, you don't really share this sort of information unless there's a concerted effort to acquire it. And that makes it pretty hard to trust your suggestion of 'just ask' when attempts to do so have failed before.

But ok then. What are your intentions for Crimson Lotus?

Maybe there might be some other creature template we want. I will look into that. Maybe a rogue creature template?

Yeah but this would just be avoiding a 18 progress research that we probably are not going to get to any time soon. It just seems easier to pay for a living one and then melt it down in the forge. I am partial to either or as long hero-killer is online.

That can very well be the case, sure.

I'll be the first to admit that I don't keep up with this thread anywhere near as much as I used to, but the general gist I got from the updates is that of a victory lap in Planetos with most enemies rather easily disposed of and used towards the benefit of Viserys.
If you say otherwise, then I will defer to you; I was just commenting on my (admittedly minor these days) knowledge of the situation.

There are plenty of neat templates I'd love to have. I'm on board.

More than fair. Having Hero-Killers would be convenient.

@DragonParadox, considering Baelor was a particularly delicious sacrifice, can we have the Kingkiller Template available to us without the need for further research? Especially considering the Old Gods explicitly ate the template and stole it from the Seven.

That is certainly not unreasonable, the festival arc is designed to look just like a victory lap, because it's meant to draw support IC from various nobles. I was just pointing out that there is a wide world outside Sorcerer's Deep and in that world there are yet many foes to face.

When was this on screen? I must have missed it. He can also hunt creatures for us? I want to know

Sorry for not keeping up with everything
I was bugging DP for Fey Creature Horses and asked if the Orphne King could sell us any. DP replied he doesn't have Fey Creature Horses, but he does have Shadow Creature Horses and is willing to sell us 16 of them if they're treated properly (and if we have the right bargaining tools).

Yeah I asked if he could, hypothetically hunt a hero-killer and DP confirmed that yes for the right price he can capture a hero killer
Alternatively with a bit of creative divination we could capture a Hero-Killer.
It was asked OOC, and Garin knew about the horses, and Viserys has enough of a grasp of his character to know he would trade kills.
@DragonParadox, are the Old Gods willing to give us the Kingkiller Template for free considering how pleased they were with Baelor's sacrifice?

This means that... we could ask him to capture the wisps?

We will need to do that at some point to seal that little salt pit in the cave

Victory lap over mortals I think he means.

The conflict with the illithid is stalled out until they complete their ritual, the long night is months away and we HAVE been preparing for it. The genie war will likely drag on for a while...

Were basically coasting? But like. Up hill?

We're building up, but HOW were going to build up is basically already decided.

I think the last thing I really pushed for was the godsnare, and only because it was practically right under our noses.

And Robert is just a waste... Maybe the Grand Sultan or the Night King could be future targets.

I am very flattered the Seven sent Baelor against us, though.
King killer probably won't do much against either of them

I have suggested contacting a Realms Helps Creature: Varakhut about the brass sultan several times.

Were not in very much danger from them as we are not seeking godhood. Nor are any of our associates.

Kingkiller isn't meant to go against the Grand Sultan himself, it's just to be annoying as hell for his minions to deal with since it can't be properly killed unless they sacrifice it. All we have to do is make it very, very hard to capture and give it several self-destruct buttons so it can resurrect itself in a random location.
