For me that there is in fact a plan is good enough to hear.

Also this is sufficient velocity. It's what we consider fun here :V.
Not so fun for me, who has to defend complicated intrigue matters against a level of defeatism that is truly stunning, especially compared to the utter and complete conviction of being able to best everyone and everything in a straight battle.

OOC: With the sorts of sums the thread deals with on a daily basis I thought it would be interesting to show how Mia and especially Anya would view a 1,500 IM prize, the concerns she would have over the fight and its resolution.
What are they spending their prize money on, @DragonParadox? Assuming they've correctly figured out they're set in the equipment department, do they want to get themselves nice houses or start-up companies for steady income or what?

Mia would like to invest shares in several ships, since she does not have time to actually run a ccompany. Anya is probably going to keep her 250 IM as a nest egg. Growing up on the streets and hearing the stories of people who ended up there with her has given her a keen sense of how fragile financial stability can be.

The weight of arrogance implicit in this statement could crush a mountain range.
And your stubborn insistence that we will automatically loose against whatever you pet-bogeyman of the week is makes a good substitute.

Guys let's not argue over a matter that is not even under debate yet and a plan that is not presented. Nothing productive can come of it

One thing at a time.

If Mia is smart she can try to buy some shares in the Yi Ti expedition. Honestly Anya would be smart to make that move as well. It might be somewhat of a gamble, but that expedition will probably quadruple the investments.

Did you even read what I posted? My dislike of your desire to start trading blows with the Court of Stars is based on the idea that we have enough supernatural enemies to deal with right now, some of which are much more pressing. The statement you made implied moving directly towards warfare of some sort, and we have enough of that going on that it was seen (I thought) as wise to handle Tiamat and etc. before we deal with Westeros.

Hence my sincere confusion and no small amount of concern in seeing that decision seemingly cast aside whilst we're still in the middle of cleaning up Varys' network and are about to make a considerable investment onto Yi-Ti in preparation for bringing down the Golden Company.

I'm all for handling our various enemies. But splitting our attention across multiple fronts leads to task overload which leads to, well, I shouldn't have to tell you where it leads to. I believe the map of Western Europe 1944-45 should be an apt example.

And if there was any intent to actually present a plan, that would be fair. Apparently there is not. We're just expected to blindly follow along and if we disagree, oh then we're just being debbie downers and fearmongers.

Any plan will be put to a vote when the time comes (otherwise it cannot be enacted) and you guys can discuss it on its merits then make suggestions, vote for or against. I just do not see the use of debating the matter of it not being presented yet and I am very much concerned that the only place it can go is a discussion on the poster, which can all too easily get into personal attacks.

Alright while this is happening. @Duesal what kind of dinosaur do you think we should give the fey lord for him to hunt a creature for us? I want a shadow bear but what is the dinosaur equivalent?

Sorry. I'm pretty paranoid usually so I get that. It's just... I don't have the time or know how to engage with the thread at the level of occupies. So getting my thoughts out there is really the only way I can get involved.

We've... Basically won everything so far I think? Failure is not a real possibility in my mind anymore. Only varrying degrees of damages we will have to recover from.

Ill... Leave off I guess?

@DragonParadox I think we need to make it clear to Mia and Anya the gear we've already given them is theirs, not merely assigned to them as part of their job as Inquisition agents.

An intelligent Inquisitor would know that we wouldn't let them go destitute (if only because they probably know stuff about the details of our institutions we don't want sold), and that with their mundane and magical skills that isn't going to happen anyway.

However what could happen is them dying if they meet something too powerful for them to deal with, and not being raised. So they really should be spending their money on better gear, or investing it into something that'll then pay for better gear.

People, of course something important like the Inquisition has a retirement deal, right? Or at least some sort of sinecure position you give to elderly/maimed agents too important to lose all contact with but who can't handle the work anymore. Something like "second cook in a reserve military base", that draws a salary and is somewhere their superiors can keep an eye on them but doesn't require actual work.

My issue is that the word "attack" immediately caused no less then 3 people to express their dislike for a plan they had never seen and nobody bothered to ask what my actual intention with Crimson Lotus was. When we need to carefully maneuver across a whole continent, two planes, 9 Fey factions and who knows how many complications, this is extremely off-putting.

The issue here is that all subtle plans need time to mature. We need to take steps now so that they bore fruit in a few months, so that we can implement the next steps, who hopefully finish in time for the invasion of Westeros.

This is a point I've been at for quite awhile yes.
The time of fearing for Viserys's life is far over; and his kingdom (Imperium, whatever) has the best of everything on Planetos. The best army, the best navy, the best magic, the strongest people, the most divine intervention etc.

Everything now is essentially a victory lap after you've beaten the game where you see how powerful you can make your character before the game splits in two.
This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it easily justified why people are less patient for skullduggery and prefer to take things head on in more flashy ways. :p
