I don't even find it worthwhile to recruit him, to be fair.

Unless Glyra can pull her magic fairy bullshit and reform this guy into something decent and less braindead.
In his current form, it isn't worthwhile to recruit him. That said, sacrificing him is a waste.

Either he can be used as a hostage against the Court of Stars, or he can submit to experiments. I'd be interested in seeing if we can change him.

I wouldn't be against this either. But it'd have to be someone at least a little more powerful I think. Being Curb Stomped by the underlings of the underlings doesn't really make something interesting.

Alternatively, it would have needed to go in an entirely different direction. Not just delivering the character directly into the center of power of his enemy.

I think it would probably be best not to go with making him a long term enemy, not only are there plenty of those around already, I think it would cause needless resentment to have an enemy show up in an omake.

Maybe I'm just inherently an optimist but you could just make poor Xhanar understand without attacking anyone.

Plans of the Court of Stars: Their fundamental purpose is that which the Orphne King already revealed, to make the world into a tale in the lands of the Reach and perhaps beyond. This requires binding the mortal lords of the Reach into the pacts not with compulsions but with blessings and gifts. Many of these gifts would unfortunately be quite appealing—strength, grace, and even wit. Few would see the unseen threads binding them to act out the tale the fey spin until it is much too late. Oddly, Crimson Lotus not seem to even understand why this would be undesirable, though it has been verified that rather than a fey characteristic it has to do with his own blindness, a trait sadly shared with many of this court.

Yes I have some ideas. I'll think on them and see.

Careful with that. You only have the one world.:V

On a more serious note remember you are hearing this from a fey whose defining characteristic is passion/ambition, he might be overstating things.

There are so very few ways to get Viserys into a towering apocalyptic rage than removing the very concept of agency from him and as he defines his, though, so the result is largely similar.

Well... So Gold and Violet Courts seem to have the most power, but it looks like the Green Court is where we wanna hit for some breakaway Fey or friendlies.

It would not o much remove mortal agency as blunt it, limit it though a thousand unseen pacts. That said yes Viserys is not happy about it, but he is happy that the fey have been protecting the Reach and in many way genuinely helping people hence why war has not already been declared like with say Mammon's agents.

So... fey civil war is an option that is being put forth correct? I imagine that they would be an interesting bit of tomfoolery that would occur. Especially considering that there is no king and the queen authority is lacking we could make the Court of Stars tear each other apart.

Regarding Crimson Lotus, he's an idiot, but he has potential, and he can be used as a weapon against the Court of Stars.

@DragonParadox, could we spare him on the condition of him swearing fealty, bringing his subordinates to swear fealty with him, and subjecting himself to experiments so we can learn how to alter a fey's nature?

His court is full of assholes, but Imperium Law should handily constrain them if they're made to swear to it.

That would take a very good write in and good rolls to have a hope of working.

What they are doing is just as insidious if not moreso than what the Devils are doing. They can hide and twist the veil and claim they are not luring souls off the beaten path into the dark, but the Devils think they are in the right too, you know.

Yes, but the devils are planing to eat them/torture them forever, the fey just want to alter how they live. That's a qualitative difference.
