Speaking of Doran... we should drop by in Sunspear to talk about the cadet branch thing. Then we can also ask him about his opinion on the whole Yronwood matter.

OOC: I did not like writing someone attacking Xor, he deserves so much better than that. On the other hand, Xhanar is a Level 3 Kineticist now.
He's also in roughly Level 15 shit.

Best case for him is probation under a Mark of Justice, but publicly assaulting people with magic is far more likely to end with one of those fancy hemp collars. Also, he dodged registering his magic. That looks exceptionally terrible under these circumstances.

Once a thorough investigation is conducted (and it will be) extenuating circumstances might come up... but best case scenario he will likely be under heavy restrictions, just because the manner of attack does not scale well compared to "getting mad and hitting someone in the face with your fist" compared to "blowing a gasket and launching a magical effect which can range from a small hole no bigger than an arrow could cause to a missing sternum" and not wanting to give people the impression it'll be overlooked either way.

Given his attitude so far and that he is unregistered, I'm not seeing many extenuating circumstances coming up.

He used his unregistered magical powers to try and publicly murder someone, causing a mass panic in the process, then fled from the site.

This isn't exactly slap-on-the-wrist stuff. Unstable people like him blowing a gasket for some reason and lobbing Fireballs on the market square are precisely why we have that registration law.
This is what I was aiming for. Ultimately it's about a guy who through horrific circumstances got forced into slavery, and then through his own choices puts himself back into a state of greatly restricted freedom.

He has to come to terms with a lot of things.
Frankly, I would vote for execution. There is really not nearly enough justification for him to go free.

You do know that we are basically funding and equipping terrorists in the Vale, right?
:p

Yes, because they are not doing terror attacks inside our empire. Think of it as guerrilla warfare.

Also yes, this guy is nuts and he has no justification whatsoever. He has been told, repeatedly, that Xor is not his aunt and that he is using that form. If seeing that by yourself is enough to cause an attack with deadly force, then you are simply too unstable to work in this society.

Back when we first heard of Dalla, I distinctly remember holding back Israel/Palestine jokes about the andals and first men both going "this is the land of my ancestors that my gods gave us!" and killing each other for the next hundred+ years.

Now that I think of it again, well... It's still amusing, but on a more pleasant sort of way. Being able to turn the desert mountains into fertile farmlands will definitely help matters.

And by the way, I expect Fey to try to stop us if we go too far with the SoTD terraforming. Well, they'll shit their pants when Viserys is around of course, but I fear they may make trouble for settlers or Titan's Tools crews.
We should check if the OG will handle that or if it'll require prevention on our part.

If it was just Xor, there could maybe be some lenience if Xor asked for it (which is likely, given that Xor is a saint).
This dude is an unregistered mage and he attacked members of the Inquisition with magic while fleeing the scene of an attempted murder of a Companion. It would take Xor's direct intervention to get his sentence down to just a MOJ.
Personally, I say he hangs.

To be fair, what I'm mostly worried attack is not attempted murder to one of our companions. We can always resurrect them.

I AM IN RAGE AT THE TERRORIST ATTACK AND FALSE ACCUSATIONS.

Do you know how much time did we spend on making Xor likeable by the general population, you little voidhead?

We are making him publicly tell us his fucking version of the story, then we are going to refute it and then, only then, he hangs. Because he first has to fix all the panic that he caused. Damn, that PR hit, I don't like it.

-[X] Also, hit him with Heal and Regenerate. Then pen a letter to the gods, complaining that Darrys body didn't arrive in mint condition and that you want a partial refund on that diamond.
Facetious, but not a bad idea really. A strongly worded reminder to the Seven that they need to adapt or perish might be just the thing to move their asses....or at least, it would establish legal precedence for immortal-vs-god litigation in court.

That would make our resident Valyrian lawman just so unhappy .

Yeah, the fact that he has some good things going for him doesn't help much when he handily breaks a bunch of our laws and nearly kills a lot of people.
I'd vote for a noose as well.

EDIT: And poor Xor's PR. Oh, the hit indeed.

I wouldn't worry about Xor's PR. What everyone saw was a xenophobic lunatic attacking Xor and then running away, while Xor stuck around and helped the wounded. If anything, it will make people pity him for the blind hatred he has to endure.

All are equal under the law. Even assholes with classes we do not have. Execution is on the table. Although I would not be against placing him under a mark of justice and forcing him to make a new Scholarium class. Then again...Xor so maybe we should just straight execute him.
