Anyway, moving on...Moonsong; I don't actually want her to win, but I bet it would do interesting things for her as a Fey if she did.
I mostly don't want her to win because that would again mean that the land grant isn't taken. It's quite obvious that Moonsong has no interest to sit in a fixed location to hold court.

Then again... the Volantene has minor political issues, though I would have little hesitation to land him in Draconys.
And neither Anya nor Mia can be landed without giving away their identities.

So I'm rooting for... the Volantene?

So the mage fight results are super interesting. Couple come from behind victories by underdogs, with Anya taking advantage of good rolls and Valaena's overconfidence to great effect-
*half the thread nitposting about the fact that characters do not always make the most munchkinesque rules-lawyeringly optimal tactical decisions*
...Y'all must be fun at parties.

@chryssalideater consider my funny rating worth double because that made me laugh loud enough to wake my cat.

Backstory-wise he's not that interested in land in general (his own estates are almost completly steward-run, with him mostly doing an inspection of lands and books 1-4 tmes a year).
But Draconys promises a wealth of interesting specimens, so he would gladly take it and fullfill any obligations that come with it.

I'm fine with that. And being responsible for Draconys basically means "being power-levelled or being dead", which is going to be interesting. I expect him to either die or reach level 10 or more due to irregular fights against mid-CR beasts. Now of course he'll have support from our troops there (right?) and access to alchemical and magical gear through trade as well as interesting monster corpses to craft cheaper magic items. I wonder if he'll find anything interesting for the Fungus Forge? We should tell him that we'll reward any such discoveries with spells to learn or something.
All the while he'll be sworn to us, so we're basically getting a med-level spellcaster. Always nice.

I guessed as much. Most people would feel kinda cheated if we give them a fief consisting mostly out of Post-Doom hellscape, but he struck me as someone who would be giddy at the prospect.

And his obligations would mostly be... murder gribblies and poke the hellscape for us...

I think Zherys would be fine as long as Aemon is allowed to share the results. But I'm kinda hoping we can rope the Mysterium into poking Lyceos for us post-annexation anyway.
Are our magical markets open to Volantines right now?

I guess since most Volantine mages are Sorcerers (shit for crafting) they might be a bit lacking in good crafters. Which would lead to Zherys not liking Aemon gone.
Certainly no insurmountable obstacle, but we should at least chat with Zherys before headhunting his useful minions (again).

Obiously. We are overdue to chat with him again anyway.

OK update it is.

@DragonParadox, in the even that we capture a Tiamat-loyal Dragon alive, if we were to knock it out and skin it to get that lovely dragonhide, and then sacrifice it:

1. Would that lower the value of the sacrifice?
2. Would the Old Gods be enough to ensure the power does not return to Tiamat?

I'm pretty sure DP already confirmed any act of sacrifice to another deity being enough to deny her the return of power-investments.

If we capture a Tiamat-loyal Dragon alive, then the first thing we should do, should be making fungal pods that can grow dragon-hide and dragon reagents linked to it, a source of red dragon-hide that we don't care if get cursed would be great.
