1. Well. Duh. The people of Dragonstone used to revere the Targs as demi-gods, so of course the preacher proclaiming the last mainline Targ king the messiah has it easy.
2. And this is why I like Stannis. He is so practical and not prone to overreactions.

Speaking of Dragons, @DragonParadox, we handed out a bunch of eggs months ago. Any progress by any of the recipients?

I'll have to rolls them.

Who got them again?

Here you go.

1. Pink as the first hints of dawn's light -- retrieved from the devils -- gained on the Thirteenth Day of the Third Month 293 AC -- promised to Zherys on the Fourth Day of the Fourth Month 293 AC -- HAS NOT ACTUALLY BEEN GIVEN TO HIM YET

2. Black with specs of gold -- retrieved from the devils -- gained on the Thirteenth Day of the Third Month 293 AC -- given to Rhaella Targaryen on the Sixth Day of the Fourth Month 293 AC

3. Pale almost ghostly silver -- retrieved from the devils -- gained on the Thirteenth Day of the Third Month 293 AC -- given to Reva Bealus on the Sixth Day of the Fourth Month 293 AC

4. Pale almost ghostly silver -- retrieved from the devils -- gained on the Thirteenth Day of the Third Month 293 AC -- given to Liset Bealus on the Sixth Day of the Fourth Month 293 AC

5. Blue as the summer sky -- taken from Daena the Defiant's hidden cache -- gained on the Fourteenth Day of the Third Month 293 AC -- given to Amrelath on the Sixth Day of the Fourth Month 293 AC -- used to restore Amrelath to life on the Nineteenth Day of the Sixth Month 293 AC

6. Midnight black with sparks of amber -- taken from Daena the Defiant's hidden cache -- gained on the Fourteenth Day of the Third Month 293 AC -- given to Daenerys Targaryen on the Sixth Day of the Fourth Month 293 AC

7. Jade green -- gifted by the Sealord as a symbol of Braavos' friendship and its future allegiance -- gained on the Seventeenth Day of the Third Month 293 AC -- given to Malarys Vanor on the Sixth Day of the Fourth Month 293 AC

I'm really hoping that we get a positive for Obara. I've been mulling over what to do with her ever since we landed Oberyn. She would fit into the Legion, but as a soldier, not an officer, as she has the entirely wrong temperament for that. Though she would do nicely as a dragonrider.

Edit: Even if the remainder of the Martells is a bust, we could always luck out and Oberyn banged a Dragonseed with non-valyrian phenotype.

Obara is fine, but I'm leery on making the other Sand Snakes dragonriders.

We will see. Asking if they could bond isn't the same as actually giving them dragons.

I would never give one to Tyene for example, as she already bonded with her air-griffon, and I doubt that she would still be viable after delving so deeply into her Rhoynish heritage with her magic.

On the bright side we got the Florents on our side and with them the southern Reach. Red Faith rising on Dragonstone and Shireen has dragon dreams. Any plans for them yet or if later what are they?

Also why are Selyse and Shireen still on Dragonstone and not with Stannis or at least with the Florent side of their family?

None of the above have had the time to hatch eggs. Zherys would have but he does not have an egg. Rhaella will be trying for her egg soon though, now that she has decided to drop the disguise. Reva and Liset likely will be following soon.

--[X] Use the remaining questions to find out which of the dead Targ dragons whose bones we took from the Red Keep could be resurrected.
Unless somebody else has something he would like to have asked, I'm using the remaining questions to figure out which bones it makes sense to resurrect.

Here is hoping that poking the Dragon Dream with these questions increases our chances by alerting the dead souls to our plans.

Also, if we can get him, dibs on Balerion for Viserys.

Now that I remember that Dany healed Shireen' s greyscale, maybe that was the triggers for her Dragon Dreams?

I also remember Selyse knew who was that did that particular magic so it doesnt surprise me she also went for the religion that claims we are the messiah on this timeline

It's more their disposition I wouldn't pair with a Valyrian Dragon. We don't really have a shortage of potential riders. There's all the dragonseeds, Teana, Maelor, Hermetia, etc. We could probably just ask Bloodraven's help in greenseeing to help us select trustworthy candidates who we can then vet with the Inquisition. When the conditions are "must be of Valyrian coloring or have dragonlord ancestry" there are millions of potential candidates.

It actually gives us quite the opportunity. Thanks to that, we have a lot of influence on Dragonstone now.

Balerion the Valyrian Dragon has already been reborn as Balerion the Cat.

Funny as this is, no. This doesn't make sense. Also I disagree with @Duesal's proposal with raising the Targaryen dragons just to be given to someone with Valyrian blood. So can we have a vote if we do it or not? You don't raise 17+ murdermachine cats and just hope it will bond with someone who looks like you. If we raise them, it has to be Targaryens that will ride them.

If that is the case, we need to figure out how to tie is old and new body together so that he can shapeshift between his forms.
Or Awaken him, teach him magic, and let him progress through the Dragonblooded PrC.

Maybe Dragonsouled instead? Dracolexi?

And then hope that his Draconic instincts win out against the sociopathic murderer that his feline instincts would encourage.

Holy shit, I just realized that all Black Dragons are reincarnated cats. It makes perfect sense...:o

It makes more sense if you specify dragons in general... some cats are quite nice and cuddly, and some Metallics are quite murderous and neurotic... so one can only assume Chromatics and Metallics just get muddled through the same Cat-Dragon Metaphysical Sieve.

@DragonParadox - could we get an 'Oldtown Adventures' (or whatever they're calling themselves) interlude?

I'll probably do that tomorrow. I have not rolled the last two weeks actions for them yet.

In the meantime here are the full results for the mage fights

Baelys of Dragonstone vs Aemon Naremos -> Aemon Naremos

Notes: Protection from energy shut poor Baely's fireballs down and then he was Deep Slumbered

Anya of Sorcerer's Deep vs Valaena Velaryon -> Anya of Sorcerer's Deep

Notes: This is the big one, Anya managed to shackle Valaena's hands with manacles and proceeded to wraithstrike her down only for Valaena to dispel her manacles and then hits Anya with enfeebling ray such that she was barely able to lift her sword. However she managed to pull off a second set of manacles which Valaena could not dispel by margin of two points. She tried to burst them but just ddid not have the strength so yielded

Ceria Storm vs Moonsong -> Moonsong

Notes: Ceria failed her save against her third Hideous laughter spell as Moonsong was on her last legs. Of course the only reason things made it to the third round was that Ceria lost her warhammer to a sneaky invisible disarm

Kerad Tarmin vs Mia Netcatcher -> Mia Netcatcher

Maybe there is some magical effect that keeps Targ blood stronger then it has any right to be and in the days of waning magic, the spellwork instinctively leeched some power from the dragons.

Might also explain why Maegors kids were malformed mutants. He might have meddled with something to strengthen his own blood and failed.
Something about being a dragonrider strengthening the blood seems more likely, the Targaryan family isn't that special, sure they were the one family that survived the doom with dragons, but before that they were just one of many dragonrider families, so it seems more likely, that keeping the blood strong, is a standard function of the bond with a Valyrian dragon.

Valaena could have used her Bracers to cast Stilled spells, even while Shackled.

Ceria: "Next time, I lash the damn thing to my arm!"

Denys: "That seems impractical--"

Ceria: "GODS I WAS STRONG, THEN."

Nooooooooooo my pick list. Ahhhhhh.
Well at least it's a good thing I didn't bet my soul on it. Okay so at least he did decent. Looks like he made top 8 correct?
