Somehow I'm not surprised that Sandor and Vee get along.

We want to send him to Yi Ti?
He needs to stay close to us for now where he can get more used to us. After a while he'll be adjusted enough that he can lead different expeditions.

Personally I want to name him Dany's Sworn Sword, kind of like Ser Richard is for us.

The unisystem itself is generic and fairly meh. It does the job of task resolution passably but with little elegance.*

Some of the settings and derivateder under it are absolutely amazing, though: Witchcraft springs to mind, and Buffy was surprisingly well made.

*God I sound like an abrasive prick tonight. I apologize. Infant who won't sleep is fraying my temper. All these opinions are IMHO only, and perhaps barely half as unilaterally acerbic as they sound.
You're not wrong. It's not really possible, IMO, to have a simple system that isn't generic to one degree or another. What I remember of the Unisystem is how simple determining actions and results were, how easy character creation was while still being something you could get fairly in-depth with depending on the setting, and how modular it was in regards to metaphysics and technology; you can add or remove magic, psionics, supernatural powers, alien technology, etc., with a minimum of fuss. More complex systems are not typically able to do any of these well, at least in my experience, because everything is too intertwined and dependent on a larger ruleset.

I actually prefer complex over simple, but the Unisystem makes simple fun for me. And yeah, the settings were really great.

[] Melee:
-[] 1st Prize: 5,000 Imperial Marks, Valyrian Steel weapon of choice, Valyrian Steel Dagger (SD Festival Edition), Valyrian Steel armor of choice, +1 Shield of choice, Amulet of Tears, Gloves of Heroes Strength (+2 Strength), Healing Belt (+2 Constitution), Ring of Protection from Evil. Include an option to receive a sizeable land grant in the former Disputed Lands if the winner is willing to swear themselves to us to serve as a loyal vassal.
He's off to such a good start for being equipped.:D
I'll give to you guys in a few days once someone has actually seen him fight enough to get a feel for his abilities.
No, he is too high level for that. He is still a ways to go to his next level up.
I'd certainly be interested in seeing him spar with Ser Richard or Bronn. Just to get his charactersheet, mind you.

Goddamn, we're never gonna get to dramatically give our stupidly large tracts of land at this point!
There are the other events. Just bad luck that melee winners don't want it.

@DragonParadox I assume that Valaena has no desire for land but something else?
There's still the joust and the mage competition. For that matter i'm sure Ser Criston would not mind some land, though granted he only got third place.
What about archery and team battle? Not sure if offering land for latter but certainly for former according to plan.

We already did with Uthero. And Sandor didn't say no, he just postponed getting his own chunk.

I'd love to give the entire guild a nice big manse in Sorcerer's Deep. I wouldn't mind giving them lands, but I also want them in our capital since there's a lot more important stuff for them to do here.

Denys is probably one of my favorite acquisitions of the tourney. We really needed an alchemist other than Waymar.

No, she is still pondering how to sweeten her mother and to an extent her father to the new reality of her life (or in other words I have not been able to come up with anything too good myself, suggestions are welcome).
Her Father would probably appreciate having her send him the Valyrian Steel she wins. At this point she should be well aware we were just going to equip her anyway, so she shouldn't be worried about missing out on future Valyrian Steel.

So for her father, Reinforced Segmented Valyrian Steel Fullplate, some kind of Valyrian Steel weapon (Longsword, Bastard Sword, Greatsword, depends on what Valaena knows about what Monford prefers), etc. And then beyond that the magic items could also just go to her father.

She happens to have enough straight funds to commission something nice for her mother that would help her understand and accept magic more. A Ring of Prestidigitation At Will would almost be universally useful, for example. Amulets or Rings of PfE as well, since we're gearing up for the war against the Deep Ones.

He gets along surprisingly well with little girls.

Not so surprisingly when you remember that one of his formative moments is his brother murdering his younger sister. It's one of his biggest regrets that he wasn't able to stop Gregor. Little girls are just a huge reminder of how helpless he was to save her, so he tends to do what he can for them even if he doesn't want to acknowledge that whole dynamic.

People, how about giving Sandor some land near Mantarys and a competent administrator as a steward?
He'd have to learn skills, but that can't hurt (and I'm sure that 1 levelup as a human paragon or a little retraining could help with that).

@Crake Thoughts on the Misfits founding an Adventurer's Guild? We've got a lot of potential members.
NO.
"Adventurer's Guild" suggests chaos and danger in our Empire. Ideally, they'd often be out of a (legal) job.

I'd prefer having something like a "troubleshooter's freelance agency", or perhaps "explorers for hire". Perhaps "strike teams" if they're combat-focused ?
@Crake, please back me up!
Such an agency should have a HQ near the Planar Terminus and the port in SD, of course. Possibly with local mercenary branches near areas of persistent demand (untamed frontiers, etc).

Valeanas reward could be to commission a sweet temple to our friendly ocean god at Driftmark? it's not land but major infrastructure work is always appreciated. Maybe some upgrades to their docks and markets?

I just said it sounded fun, personally Denys and Co. have too much on their plate being officially in Viserys' service. It's not like they could perform any administrative duties from thousands of miles away.
