Viserys did some risks back at the beginning. He even risked his own life for the whores. Not a lot of people in his position can honestly say that. Even paid off short and long term.

I mean both Selyse and Alinor have proven to be worth more than their weight in Scepters or Notes. By which I mean the former has been an island of stability and peace for our feared and dreaded Spymaster, and the latter has helped us manage a royal demesne through just about every crisis you can name or imagine, up to and including complete absence of funds. Poor Alinor.

I remember there were three of them. One now is our the poor person who has to deal with the economics of our whole kingdom in our absence. The other one hooked Garin. And the third one?

She went on to become a courtesan.

To be honest that might be a bit of a sad trombone moment, but Braavosi Courtesans are basically rockstars.

Complete absence of funds from one day to another due to your superior deciding to go to another continent to fight a demonic invasion, I have to correct.

There is a pretty important difference in having to deal with money shortages when you are expecting them, and when it happens on a whim and you can't even contact the one responsible.

In our defense, those demons really needed fighting! :V

Say @DragonParadox, does Lya ever wonder who her parents are and even tried to divine about it?
...
...
...

Omg! Lya is Tyrion's daughter!!!!

HAHA.

No.

Edit: Also I imagine she hasn't.

It would probably be disappointing, and she, in her Mythic Tier interlude, clearly outlined that she moved on from it namely because she realized she could only disappointed by the knowledge.

I mean, her parents could be Great Lords from an august and renowned lineage, or they could be podunk commoners who could barely afford to keep her around, or just a middling merchant's family with no interest in another daughter.

It's all disappointing knowledge.

Not really no, she used to think about it when she was a little girl but has since moved on to other questions more important to her. Lya figures that whoever her parents were, her life, the one she can remember started at the temple and goes from there, and that is what matters rather than what might have been.

Really, if you think about it, there is no amount of helping the knowledge could do for her. Nothing to thereby gain by it.

She, as she currently knows herself, might never have become who she is if they hadn't left her on those temple steps.

It's really a fantastic story, if you think about it, about as potent origin story as an exiled prince from a line most ancient and feared finding her on a moonlit night in Braavos of all places.

Was trolling of course, Tyrion's only two years older than Lya anyway...
OMG, she's Tywins bastard, who's mother ran away to Braavos! :V

On a serious note, 6 days left for the tourney, can we even cover all events? If we retroactively had the other events, I think its best we have the finals of the melee, archery and joust tomorrow, the Twenty-Fifth, so that we can showcase the mage fights and team events the next four days.

I think @DragonParadox is going to cover some events retroactively.

BTW, how awesome must the MirrorVision be for the spectators in all the other cities? Before they had a boring, humdrum existence, then BHAM!!! we invent TV and for an entire month nearly every waking hour it shows amazing stuff most people only ever hear about in stories, along with a ton of other interesting events.

Even after the festival ends, we need to make regular daily use of the MirrorVision network. If not showing duels in the Circle of Battle, it should be plays, debates, educational lectures, news, etc.

Agreed.

And we need to make sure the people grow used to their King speaking to them.
