I've been loving the festival interludes precisely because it's a big victory lap. It feels good to finally get this kind of acknowledgement after thousands of pages of Viserys having an annoyingly self-deprecating mindset.

The Large and the Bold:
  1. Sandor vs Leto (The dice accept your prayer @Azel :) )
  2. Andar Royce vs Oberyn Martell
  3. Yellow Maggot vs Ser Benjicot Brown (Battle of the colors :V )
  4. Scarbrand vs Black Walder Frey
  5. Chun Ting Lo vs Stone Giant Warrior
Medium and Smaller:
  1. Valaena vs Bonifer Hasty
  2. Thoros vs Mors 'Crowfood' Umber
  3. Quick Steps vs Ser Criston Storm
  4. Asha Greyjoy vs Ser Karl Terrick (this should be an interesting fight, the knight seeking a Valyrian steel weapon against the Iron born rayder who already has a pair o VS axes)
  5. Shara Rogare vs Belos the Bold (Legion captain)

Would passes usually be given in such scenarios? Like say Obeyrn gets a pass in the next round because there aren't enough fighters or something.
With 10 people, it would make sense to have two fights per weight class to eliminate the 9th and 10th contestants respectively.

So, number of fighters in the round:
Finals - 2
Semi-Finals - 4
Quarter-Finals - 8
Preliminary - 4 (and 6 people are not fighting in this round)

Edit: *cringe* DP, why do you do this?

Now - 10 contestants
Next - 5, which means... 2 fights and a by?
Then - 3 fighters!?
Finals - !?!?!?!?!

[X] Plan The Shape Of Things To Come
-[X] "The full plan is not yet ripe to be revealed, for there are too many plots and agreements buried within that need their secrecy for now, lest some Lion decides to set the kingdom alight before everything is in place. What I can give you though are a few details and some thoughts, so you may see the shape of things." // Truth. Half of our Westerosi allies don't even properly know of each other and nobody except us and Bloodraven knows any details of the plots going on there.
-[X] "My house was betrayed by all kingdoms save one. The North, the Vale and the Stormlands rose in open rebellion. Hoster Tully sold his loyalty for two betrothals. And while the Fat Flower sat in the Stormlands with most of his army and doing as his name suggests, the Lion came into the capital under the banner of peace to burn it to the ground and slay every member of my family he could find. I'm almost willing to give the Iron Born a pass for their role in it all, because only a fool would have expected anything else from Balon Greyjoy then what he did." // A short summary of the Ursupation. And yes, I do very much have a grudge against the Tyrells here. Had they moved to Kings Landing when news came from the Trident, the sack and the defeat of the Targs could have been averted. Instead they sat on the sidelines and made sure to not be too unpleasant an ally to the new order.
-[X] "So, Lord Frey, if you were in my position, what would you do with this lot?" // Spoiler: He wouldn't be pleasant to them. We intentionally don't give our own answer to this, but Walder Prime should get the gist of it. Things will suck for the Lords Paramount. Big time.
-[X] "As for Hoster Tully in particular, I share your opinion on the Tully rule of the Riverlands. It was a unmitigated disaster since the day it started. I'm content to let them keep Riverrun and a few of their banner-men, but they will have a new Lord above them and it won't be a Riverlander. There is little point in burdening whoever would be the Tullys new Lord with the impression that he is their replacement." // Honest opinion. Whoever get's the Tullys would be painted as the new Lord Paramount and have to deal with most of the garbage that before was thrown at them. No point to it.
-[X] "There will be no more Riverlands. There will be a split, to ensure that the new realms are stable and not plagued by the infighting of current times. And if you swear yourself to me, the northern part of the Riverlands is yours, with no Lord above you, save me. I assume that this is what you wanted to hear?" // The part of the division most relevant to him. I could rattle of provinces here, but we already tacitly agreed to his demands for precisely what we wanted to give him anyway, save for Riverrun.

I'm still pretty annoyed that I got this much backdraft for the Praetori, but this one is apparently peachy to throw at everyone. Even PC's if the talk about giving it to Richard is any indication.
It wasn't discussed much, most people didn't even read it in full because I couldn't link.
The idea of giving it to richard was mentioned once in passing, with the only comment on it being that LA 2 looks like too much for him.

For now this template is just a harmless idea, without attached research-times, price tags or any details on how available it will be.
Without those details to dislike it's natural that there's not much backdraft.

Just wait until someone makes it into a concrete proposal, then it'll propably get more than enough.

Valaena vs Bonifer Hasty
Does Hasty have a Charsheet?

Oops... not really sure how to fix this, adding three more fights per bracket seems excessive
Just fill them up with nobodies or make 2 elimination matches per bracket to trim down to 8 people first.

The latter method makes sense since you had draws and allowed two people to advance, so the final brackets are too full.

Edit: The easiest way would probably be to have the fights now as is, then add 3 nobodies next round to bring it to 8 people again.

  • [X] Plan Pocket Change
-[X] Give him 30,000 IM straight, which he can explain away as good income over the coming months.
-[X] We gave the Lads some magical support. Walder Black can arrange blessings for the Frey fields. If he stockpiles grain, he will soon make a pretty penny with it.
-[X] He must not pay anything for regular steel gear. We can provide a few samples of our stock, then make him enough chainmail and weapons for his entire levies. The Lads will hide that stuff in caches on his land so that nobody notices that he us equipping an army.

Alright, comments on the matches:
The Large and the Bold:
1. Sandor vs Leto (The dice accept your prayer @Azel )
2. Andar Royce vs Oberyn Martell
3. Yellow Maggot vs Ser Benjicot Brown (Battle of the colors )
4. Scarbrand vs Black Walder Frey
5. Chun Ting Lo vs Stone Giant Warrior
1. This will be fight that mothers will tell their children about. The carefully edited version with a lot less of all the gore it will entail. Then the older kids will tell the younger kids the uncensored version. Just as nature intended.
2. I don't give Andar much of a chance, but if he pulls this off, he definitely earned my respect.
3. Probably going to end with Benjicot winning.
4. Well, I think Walder Black is in a good enough mood that the asskicking he will receive isn't that much of a bummer.
5. Now this looks fancy. @Crake, do it. Do it.
Medium and Smaller:
1. Valaena vs Bonifer Hasty
2. Thoros vs Mors 'Crowfood' Umber
3. Quick Steps vs Ser Criston Storm
4. Asha Greyjoy vs Ser Karl Terrick (this should be an interesting fight, the knight seeking a Valyrian steel weapon against the Iron born rayder who already has a pair o VS axes)
5. Shara Rogare vs Belos the Bold (Legion captain)
1. Hm... not sure who would win this or who to root for.
2. That would be nice to watch.
3. Eh.
4. Yes, please. More Asha is always great.
5. I'm all for this, simply by virtue of having both a Legionnaire here and that Shara isn't that likely to win this. A rogue against a Legionnaire is not a great fight to have.

Ahhh. A real David vs. Goliath moment.

Actually @DragonParadox

...you literally set this up on purpose. You had to have.

The monkey vs. the Knight?

The medium sized monk vs. the literal giant?

That's a parallel if I've ever seen one.

SKARBRAND DOES NOT CARE WHAT LOINS THE FERRET MAN SPRANG FROM. SKARBRAND HATES ALL SMALL MAMMALS EQUALLY!

Walder Black: "Uh... Thanks?"

SKARBRAND DOES NOT APPRECIATE YOUR GRATITUDE!

@Goldfish
Did you have a chance to look at the Dragon Vassal in full?
Oops, forgot.

Got side tracked reading some new Shadowrun sourcebooks. Will try to remember tonight.

I was just joking about giving them to everyone. It's a powerful template with major side-effects. If we could mitigate the negative effects, it should be something that could be applied at great expense, hopefully without effective level drain.

I hope we can recruit that monk to teach others at the deep... I want more monks, the shadow path especially for our inquisitors. We must have ninjas!!
