Replace the adamantine plating of the captured turtle ships with VS.
:)

I hope we have time for another raid in the next few months.
I just don't think he knows there is such powerful healing magic available, and didn't believe the healer who was trying to explain otherwise.
He probably thought he was being mocked.

Judging by how much he hates his scars I don't think he'd stonewall an offer to heal them if he realized the offer was completely genuine.

He denied it because he couldn't imagine a world where Princess Daenerys, a girl one perhaps eight years, would ever want to gaze upon his horrid visage. And a part of him that doesn't want to admit he doesn't want to see a child look at him with horror deflects with anger at presumed mockery (because it's a pretty good bet).

And it's also hardly believable that the 8 year old princess did what rumors tell about her (and has the power). Combine the two ...

I was just saying, the metric might be a bit skewed. These are people that came here because they compulsively could not resist the urge to come to the lair of the Dread Sorcerer Viserys Targaryen.

That does not mean they are suicidal, it means they love Tourneys THAT much.

I could actually see some Robert Loyalists attending, on the idea "If *I* win, I get to rub it in the faces of all those Targ Rebels that a true loyalist is more badass than them."

Or at least that'll be the excuse of some of them if things get out to King's Landing.

Dany does need her own Ser Richard at some point doesn't she? :)

Team Diplomatic Incident is a go!

I was thinking a Praetorian might fight the bill, but if DP is going to drop dramatic irony into our laps I'm not going to complain.

Sandor is a truly phenomenal sword shield, considering the sheer amount of shit he takes from Joffrey while still serving loyally.

Would make a good bodyguard for Dany.

Hmm, that would allow him to stay competitive with us, doesn't it? By the time he buys off those +2 LA the rest will be around 16th level minimum.
Sandor would be fantastic to take adventuring.

If this is what he can do with zero gear then I'm very excited for his prospects.

I'd bet on him being able to keep up in general, even without a Praetorian upgrade... though I certainly wouldn't say no to him volunteering.

'Sandor' and 'Praetorian' are not necessarily exclusive options

Good night guys see you tomorrow with the final duel in this melee round as well as more tourney intrigue and diplomacy.

While true, and narratively apt, until we see the dice rolls I'll keep my hope restrained.

I'm personally excited to see if he's an Initiator to represent his "dirty tricks" or if we'll be able to make him more badass through the School of Richard's Hard Knocks.

Anything can be made more badass through Ser Richard.

Sandor can be taught some sweet maneuvers.

I personally want to bring him along a future raid against the Efreeti in the Plane of Fire and give him experience fighting Fire Giants. Nothing's closer to killing The Mountain.

Doesn't the Hound have a fire phobia or is that just something the show made up?

Shit. There goes that idea.

We can still take him to the Plane of Earth or Plane of Air, though.

There's also Sothoryos, Beyond the Wall, etc.

EDIT: Regardless of the outcome of the tourney I definitely want to recruit him and give him a Valyrian Steel Greatsword.

The Elemental Plane of Fire would be a special kind of hell for him.

Possibly even more hellish than Hell.

Yeah, I completely forgot about his phobia.

That said, I think he might be super tempted if we promise him an item of Fire Immunity.

That and I'm reasonably confident we can get him to let us heal his face.

The core reason why I would be exited if Sandor can become a Praetori is that they get Fire Resistance 5 and if he has more then 5 HD, which seems exceedingly likely, he gets Fire Resistance 10. With that, he could use Alchemists Fire as soap, for those times when he is really grimy.

That should go a long way to get a grip on his phobia.

And he could use his new Searing Hands ability to melt off Gregor's face if he wishes.

Just sent DP a cool CR 15 Efreeti build that can burn Viserys and deal excellent melee damage, as well as manage some nice battlefield control if needed.
It's reasonably powerful and because it's CR 15 it'll be coming with a bunch of underlings.
Viserys will inevitably Shadow of the Doom them all instantly, and we'll probably never see any of its shtick :'(

I should probably thought of that before I typed out that character sheet :D:cry:

I'm sure he can be a great boss fight for Amrelath n Co

Take Sandor Clegane and
1. Heal his face
2. Give him a chance to have his vengeance
3. Literally make it so that most fire tickles him at best
And
4. Give him a chance, however slim, to resurrect his sister

and what you end up with is the kind of undying loyalty to whoever provided those boons that makes men blow themselves up for a cause. Transform the Hound into The Hammer, and he will crush every enemy of the Imperium in his sight.

Oh my GOD do I want his new sobriquet to be "The Hammer". That would be amazing.

Maybe even something like "The Emperor's Hammer".

Warmaster of the Praetorian Guard.

We might use Dragon's Roar first, depending on mook numbers and composition.

Or if Rina is around, we might just let her nuke it.

And we still haven't had a chance to use the Avasculate + Power Word Petrify combo.

Most of our Divine casters are packing Destruction spells now, too. I would like to see a cocky Efreeti reduced to a pile of ash.

And there's always the possibility of making another Fire Turtle.

Or we can just SotD it! ;)
