Well that was unexpected. Good to see Varys is smart enough to walk around with his anti Viserys pants on.

It is "The warded creature is immune to the effects of one specified spell for every four levels you have."

So I guess baleful polymorph as well, at the very least. He seems to tune his immunities against spells Viserys is known to use, and baleful polymorph was a signature spell for a long time now.
And rightfully so, because, on the list of 'surprise end-of-living enemy', Viserys must be high up on this list. And he's 'allied' to two greater powers who really don't like us, so, them setting up Varys specifically as bait for us and preparing him as a trap ... still waiting for "surprise pact-summoned dragon/devil".

I'm fully expecting the Shadow Dragon and more to be summoned when we go after the Golden Company. That is going to be a brutally hard fight.

Wait, Aradia and Nuri act before we can right? And I think celerity means we're stunned next round so they're gonna get two rounds before Viserys.

Honestly I can sort of see where Varys probably got his spell immunity from. Mammon probably took one look at him and said "You're going to to need this."

[X] Plan Screw It, Knife
-[X] Viserys uses Bloodwish: Restoration to fix the Dex damage and full-attacks with Dark Sister at the same time, dealing non-lethal damage.
-[X] Aradia full-attacks Varys, using Skill Trick: Mosquitoes Bite to prevent him realising he is hurt.
-[X] Nuri casts Greater Invisibility and moves behind his back, preparing to full-attack him with active Wraithstrike next round, dealing non-lethal damage.
-[X] Viserys activates his belt to make another full-attack and casting Resilient Sphere to trap himself, Varys and Nuri.
-[X] If Varys casts again, reflect the spell with Serpents Sin, if he reflects it with Spell Turning, use your own Spell Turning from your ring.
Viserys can just cast Heal on himself as a Swift Action because he still has Arcane Spellsurge active, once he can act again.

The next actions, however, won't involve Viserys, as he has already acted in this round, I believe.

@DragonParadox From the way things played out, after Nuri, Aradia, and Rhaella have acted, Viserys will have Initiative over Varys, right?

Hmm. Vargs looked quite confident in the update. Does he know it's really Viserys he is fighting?

[X] Goldfish

We should have seen that coming, in retrospect. Going melee is a good option, he cant have foreseen that (or at least heavily prepared himself for such an eventuality).

Who would suspect a Sorcerer of being a good swordsman?!

Probably Varys. Paranoia isn't a state for him, it's a lifestyle.

Ah, to finally run into someone who is as paranoid as Viserys is when risking combat and with access to "Friends" in low places.

Honestly, not surprised about the Spell Turning or the Greaater Spell Immunity considering this guy has been working with Tiamat and prob knows at least a quarter of our exploits from dealing with Devils.

Would be amusing if Varys got his habit of layering protections from stories of what we are like in battle.

We've been in worse fights, and considering the custom classes we have a minor feat modification is almost vanilla by comparison.

Time to break out our more "aggressive" tactics.

Viserys ha been in hundreds of fights, and dozens upon dozens of the "rocket tag" variety.

I don't think anyone quite understands what it's like to have unlimited options and unlimited firepower.

Viserys has both.
