For anyone who is curious if you had failed the save Viserys would not have automatically have lost his soul. The enemy would still have to break though his talismans so in order:
  1. The PfE amulet breaks 5% chance of blocking the attack
  2. The Soulfire Bracers break 33% chance of blocking the attack
  3. The Crown breaks 75% chance of blocking the attack

[CONQUERING INTENSIFIES]
Wait wait no!
Asshai is a blasted hellscape nobody with any sense cares about.
We kill everything that moves
We loot everything worth looting
We sacrifice the rest
AND THEN, NUKE IT FROM ORBIT

Isn't that the point of building a Moonchaser? Preparation for a moonbase?

Edit: For flavor reasons, the nuke will have to be very magical too, for extra devastation.
And we could add in a few magical WMDs while we're at it.

Okay now, in practical terms the Raktavarna is an extremly useful familiar, top-tier.
Rakshasa, Raktavarna – d20PFSRD

It has Darkvision and Detect Magic constantly on and can let his master see through those enhanced eyes.
It can hide as a weapon as well as Dany's dagger-dragon.
It has Charm and Suggestion and constant Comprehend Languages.
Its poison can make people forget the last minute like Modify Memory.

All that make it perfect for a subtly working caster. If we can actually trust him remotly at some point, he would make a great familiar for Hermetia, any high-ranking Inquisitor or any spy in our service.

[X] Accept, even if it is mistaken about having been freed of any mystical chains you can certainly have them broken

"We are all slaves to the circle, to those who have ascended beyond us in the Dance of Darkness..." A sly smile twists the fiend's features making them seem all that much more disturbingly human. "All save I. I was not sent forth but torn loose and so I may carve my own path.

Unless it is cunning beyond all compare and trumped is thoroughly this is all we need to know about the opportunity in front of us.

This is, what, the second time Viserys headbutts an Eldritch Evil with his mind *cough* crits *cough* and kinda wins?
Elder Brain, now a wannabie-god?

Third's time the charm :V
I fully expect getting some sort of bonus to willsaves if we do that again.

And that's not mentioning seeing through Ymeri's power and being in a God's mind for a few minutes, albeit in a dragon dream.

We will have to poke the area first to see how bad it really is, but I'm committed to conquering the place now.

The only question is how much RIGHTEOUS, CLEANSING FIRE we will have to pour over it first.

I've figured up the enchanting cost for the tournament prizes. It comes to 16,000 IM, which the crafting schedule was just barely able to accommodate.

In addition to that, we will need to produce nine Valyrian Steel weapons, three suits of Valyrian Steel armor. Heads up, @Duesal, at least three of these weapons and and one suit of armor will be Large-sized, meaning they're going to require much more Valyrian Steel.

Our mage-smiths will need to produce six +1 suits of armor, six +1 shields, and one +1 set of horse barding.

A raktavarna can designate a single creature as its master as a standard action. If the raktavarna is a spellcaster's familiar, its master is automatically that spellcaster, and the raktavarna cannot change this.

So you can gain the benefit without having it as a familiar, experimentation could find a way for powerful mages to oversee a few different teams.

Even now just by casting permanancied Status and handing them an attuned Raktavarna you can react to any threat on your subordinate.

Might be good for Diplomats.

Could we not?
Most times we do that I have already lost interest by the time we actually get around to solve a problem.

Agreed. Less because of the lost interest and more the fact that I'd like our default outsider greeting option to not be "Hello, nice to meet you, get in the fucking bottle."

To be fair, assholes who deserve it get the treatment, but we shouldn't turn empty milk jugs into pokeballs.

...

Scratch that, we totally should do that, but it's still rude to do it to people we're planning to employ.

Edit: Also we should work on that Mimic, letting him/her/it just sit in the bottle seems like a waste of resources.

What's your estimate for how much VS we will need?

I also would prefer not to immediately bottle our inside man, this is our Yi To lense, just seeing what he's surprised by would be insightful.

[X] Refuse, the fiend is too petty to be worth the effort of binding into service in a manner that you would count secure

I don't trust it one bit. It is turning on all my paranoia buttons. I don't want anything that has any sort of connection to that thing near us without shit ton of precautions.

A wild Balor has appeared!

Viserys: "Cornugon, I choose you!"
*throws red and white bottle that breaks and releases a Cornugon*
Balor: "The fuck?"
Cornugon: "Don't ask..."

What's your estimate for how much VS we will need?

It really depends on the weapons chosen. If everyone selects a Long Sword, it would be as little as (6 x 3 pounds) for the Medium-sized winners and (3 x 24 pounds) for the Large-sized winners. That only adds up to 90 pounds. But things like Great Swords (8 pounds) and Great Axes (12 pounds) would use much more, especially for the winners of the Large-sized competition (64 pounds for a Large Great Sword, 96 pounds for a Large Great Axe).

If we assumed a mix of them all - three Long Swords, three Great Swords, one Large Great Sword, and two Large Great Axes - the total would come up to 289 pounds. It could be more than that, but it's as good a goal post as I can come up with right now.

Assuming everyone wants Reinforced Segmented Valyrian Steel fullplate, that would be 55 pounds + 55 pounds + 440 pounds (for a Large-sized suit). So 550 pounds in total for armor.

If these estimates hold true, we could be looking at needing 839 pounds of Valyrian Steel. If not, and everyone picks the heaviest options (336 pounds), we would need 886 pounds.

I'm glad I cut back on the Valyrian Steel armor we were going to give out.
