Well.

We were unlucky with some rolls here, it seems.

@DragonParadox, does this meager summoning means that there were no other leaders or commanders for us to catch from the names available, nor any meatshields?

Or that we didn't even try to summon lower-rank devils here, like those we know from questioning Tiamat clerics, or those Devils you originally rolled for us getting the first time we did that, before a retcon?

Getting Furies was the last priority after summoning every other devil on PM we can get here :/

Those were all the real leaders the Uniila knew of. I figured you would prefer loyal Erinyes to captured imps and the like.

Speaking of repeatedly and casually stealing from Mammon, how pissed is he with us these days?

Beyond the capacity for mortal words to express.

Probably, though you would get far more than an aspect with bottom of the barrel gear squeezing though
*diabolical laughter intensifies*

Heeeere comes the upgrade for the Oathkeeper...
Chip chip chip, little sacrificial rooster... Snake... Thing...

As much as he'll prepare for it... So will we.
And oh boy, can we prepare these days.

@Goldfish, draw up those plans mate.
Its time to build a murderblendertrap for a cr22+ encounter.

If we pull that off, we would probably get a second avatar and all the blessings from Yss. Plus a round of Mythic power for everyone.

@Goldfish, say, how would you go about disabling Beads of Newt Prevention?
Disjunction

But please, please please don't summon Mammon! He'll kill a few Companions and it'll be hell to recover their souls! He'll be Epic and have raw stats so huge he'll casually slaughter Richard and make all his saves! AND he'll have even crazier gear than we do! Crafted Contingent Spells out the wazoo!

Better question- how many beads he can reasonably carry?
Because we will be packing a lot of BP's here.

There is a tag up there ... And to paraphrase Duesal, your rant just reads like 'loot, loot, Loot, LOOT' ...

I'm, not suicidal. We are not doing this without at least 4 casters capable of throwing 9th level spells, one of which must be Lya with at least 4 bodies in attendance.

But if we could actually diminish Mammon in a significant way, we could knock Baator out of the war for Planetos as the Archdukes would be too busy with infighting for a while to conduct major operations against us. It's the first glimpse of a potential victory against them.

Asmodeus: Aaahh those Valyrians, boy do they know how to live up a day.

We have to get that business card some day :V

Also, a strange day it is indeed, when this spell might actually be the one we all will cheer at when it works.
:/

And @DragonParadox?
We are continuing summoning the next month.
Devils are still devils and I, for one, would have preferred cleaning out our lands from this filth, however low-ranking, than Furies.

Sure, but keep in mind if you had not grabbed the furies they would still be working for Mammon

Hahaha. No.

Your confidence in me is appreciated, but this isn't even remotely something I would entertain the thought of for a long, long time.

Disjunction would do it, though I would prefer to pretend that spell doesn't exist. Targeted Greater Dispel Magic could knock out a single bead, but that's inefficient and unreliable, since he would almost certainly have multiple backups.

Sourcer Severance would be a possibility, but we wouldn't know if the Bead was a product of Divine or Arcane magic.

Spellbane should work, too, so long as one of its target spells is Dispel Magic, which is the spell imbued into Beads of Newt Prevention.

As Harry explained it, DF magic allows to shape reality, but once shaped it's real. So, magic fire is real fire, started (and given form and direction) by magic. If that magic fails because of SR, you still get the plasma in the face. Or the 3K liquid nitrogen.
That's... completely nonsensical in the face of all examples of magic interacting with something that disrupts it or is resistant to it.

He wouldn't need a few encounters to think up a different spell to counter Genoskwa when his ability is to ground out magic. He wouldn't need to light the Plant Monster on fire using a lighter and lighter fluid.

Rain wouldn't dimish spells as it travels through it.

A freaking threshold would be useless against magic attacks going in, which is clearly not the case when Harry sends a humongous blast of force that's turned into a rough shove after it passes that witch coven's threshold.

So magic fire is magic fire, magic lightning is magic lightning, magic cold is magic cold, magic force is magic force.

Making a plasma or nitrogen attack would usually result in a magical plasma or nitrogen attack.

Otherwise you have to out-and-out transmute it into existence, maybe. You probably have to be smart about how you do it, too, making the thing indirectly (a problematic case with, say, making non-magical fire through magic).

Easy for the Winter Knight to freeze ambient moisture into a very, very hard hailstone.

Not so easy for nitrogen or plasma, as the fact that said Winter Knight had to go all the way down to "make a hailstone and throw it really hard".
