@DragonParadox, is Valyrian Steel really something that can be damaged by this, much less Oathkeeper?
Yes, though it would have to fail its reflex save.

Even if it is, a high Reflex Save on every hit and touch is not a game I'd want to play.My point is that Valyrian Steel is actually more magical than the common magical metals, as evidenced by the fact that we can't fabricate the stuff. That's why I assumed it would be more resilient.
They'll be fine, they're not blind to their vulnerabilities. Just like us, with increased prosperity they'll invest in their own defenses (hence their Deep Delvers getting swanky gear).
Ah, it was less the finances and more "powerful people are going to start asking questions and making demands of we move this much metal."Ten thousand tons... Truth be told you doubt there is that much iron gathered together anywhere in the world under the sun, but that is what the Legion will need if it is to fulfill its duty, if it is to be the world's shield against all the things that dwell in the dark, from the murky waters to the cold north.
"If we take this contract then we will need that protection you offer," Mountain Heart rumbles. "The sheer volume of trade will doubtlessly draw opportunists and would-be conquerors, but you have ever shown yourself to be trustworthy as you are strong, Dragon King, and so we will take this deal of yours and gladly we will match it. Let there be fellowship between our clan and yours, and if you should need our aid delving through the hidden places of your realm than you shall have it." The elder pauses and glances over to Rock Shaker with a deep echoing laugh. "Bear in mind that most of us would rathe
They get a brazier to call in emergencies and I definitely want to place a garrison here in the next turn vote.Ah, it was less the finances and more "powerful people are going to start asking questions and making demands of we move this much metal."
I want to take the Xorn at their word here, if they say shits going to get stirred...
We still haven't grown that Wyrwood here either...They get a brazier to call in emergencies and I definitely want to place a garrison here in the next turn vote.
@DragonParadox, does 1/10th the value of iron sound fair for lead?
I can give you the numbers later, @Goldfish.

I certainly wouldn't say no to building a fort here. They get a brazier to call in emergencies and I definitely want to place a garrison here in the next turn vote.
The only reason is because we need to commission a stand-in sun. Once we do that and secure a steady water source we should be fine.We still haven't grown that Wyrwood here either...
Where's the POE side terminal for the gate?
Low grade strategic resource that it is...Maybe bump that up to 1/5th. While it is not a very good material or making most tools lead is valuable as divination shielding.

A magic item would only be temporarily slowed down by Dispel Magic.I feel like this is asking for a dispel magic to be thrown around. Though it is a good temporary measure. As the Xorn expand we may wish to create a tree that grows without sunlight.

I doubt it's Uranium dust, if it was the Xorn would probably note that it's tasty, as Uranium is a rare metal. It could just be uranium dust. Luckily, immunity to poison beats radiation.
Any idea for how to handle the burrowing?Okay, since trade doesn't seem to be important right now, let's get on with the show.
[X] Teleport to the chamber
-[X] Before Teleporting, everyone prepares as follows.
--[X] Malarys casts Defending Bone and Magic Circle Against Chaos.
--[X] Waymar casts Bronze Skin on himself and Mereth, then casts See Invisibility and the Heart spells (Air, Earth, & Water) if he hasn't already done so.
--[X] Tyene uses her Neutralize Poison SLA on everyone, then casts Wind Walk on everyone. Immediately before Teleporting, she also casts Fickle Winds on everyone and Geniekind (Shaitan) on herself.
--[X] Lya casts Life Bubble and Mass Resist Energy (Acid) on everyone, Owl's Insight on Malarys, Barkskin on herself and Viserys, and False Life, Mage Armor, Mirror Image, the Heart spells (Air, Earth, Fire, & Water) if she hasn't already done so, Heightened Awareness, and See Invisibility on herself. Immediately before Teleporting, she casts Mass Aid on everyone.
--[X] Viserys casts Mage Armor and Heart of Earth (if they are not already active), Mirror Image, and Scintillating Scales. He retrieves a pair of Valyrian Steel Greatswords from his cloak for Richard and Waymar to use as backup weapons, casts Magic Army to place a +3 Enhancement bonus on everyone's weapons, then Blood Wishes a Communal Protection from Energy (Acid) spell on Oathkeeper and Purity. He instructs Richard and Waymar to immediately switch to their backup weapons should the warding magic on their main weapons fail. Until then, each man stores their backup sword in their Handy Haversacks.
--[X] Unless it proves otherwise necessary, everyone will use the Wind Walk effect placed on them to slowly fly (remaining in solid, non-gaseous form) through the toxic section of the cave in order to avoid any incidental contamination and to bypass any hidden traps.

They're unlikely to be able to burrow through the actual rock. That normally requires something like the Earth Glide or Xorn Movement abilities or spells. Even if capable of burrowing through rock, they're only going to move at a maximum of 40ft per round if they use double Move Actions, since you can't run or charge while burrowing. That's not very fast at all, so Varys should be able to give us plenty of warning via her Mindsight ability.
