You had not seen the light the light of day in many turnings of the heavens. Indeed you had seen in your ensorcereled flames the mockery of your "pears" in the lads above. Soft-scaled hachlings and decrepit degenerates. Oh, if only they could see the trap they had forged for themselves, by mingling their blood with that of beasts. Would they have time to appreciate the irony before the helfire burned their essence to ash?

With dry rasp of ancient scales moving again stone you shift your weight, the long ruined pits pits of your eyes turning towards the summoning circle. What shall you cal today to entertain you from the Formless Realm. Names that writhe like serpents pass through your thoughts. Freedom is so close. If only you could understand the Song of the Maelstrom... then... then you could pass from form to formlessness and back.

The magic in the chamber shifts... and it is not your doing. A rising melody of power that can only mean one thing someone or something is attempting to enter. The Flamelord is using you to dispose of defeated foes again. Rage burns within you, all the brighter for the fact you know this plan shall bear the intended fruit.
Title of whichever Red Dragon ruled over the other Red Dragons in proto-Valyria?

[X] Goldfish
some twit calling for turtle soup.
Forgot I quoted this. Promote this man.
As I said, Chapter 29 is underway. I just need to poke @Sqweaktoy with an outline and get their thoughts so that I can be sure I'm not making any massive errors anywhere. First White Council meeting, and all that. Just a little bit of a highly complicated matter.
To my PM! I'm sure this client won't mind if I stop responding for a bit :lol:rofl:

Bah! Clients! What are they even good for? You know, beyond money :V
Thanks man :lol

@Snowfire you just go at your own pace, we are lucky enough you put time to entertain us despite having your own quest and everything.

This is me going at my own pace, but I do appreciate the thought. I really enjoy writing HT, and I have no intentions of stopping. I want to see it through.

Ya'll know what we need, and should absolutely be able to attain given our resources? A comprehensive dossier of Robert's Court; who is favored, disfavored, prominent, etc., with their general personalities, activities, and allies and enemies.

Umbral Spies will get it done.

While an umbral spy is attached to a creature's shadow, it cannot be detected without a thorough examination via True Seeing or a similar effect. Since True Seeing does not see through clothing, the umbral spy is often safely hidden from a casual examination with True Seeing.

I'm curious. Do we have anyone in our kingdom who can warg? Or greensee? I'm assuming the Old Gods adepts might be able to warg but greenseeing was rare from what I recall

Well that's disappointing. I was hoping for a warg class. Then again I guess any Old Gods adept who takes an animal companion can technically do what they do so no loss
We're definitely getting whatever ones there are Beyond the Wall, it's just a matter of convincing/forcing them to come south before Winter ruins everyone's day.

[X] Speak with the Sealord on the matter of Pentos and your recent conquests as well as the cabal you have recently uncovered in his city

Okay so in one of the previous rumours there was the slayer of the Harpy queen. He came from the Summer Isles. Rhaella went there recently. Did that group meet him?

He was last seen mucking around in Slaver's Bay. Unless he went back home there's no reason Rhaella's group would have run into him, and we would have heard about it if she met him.

You know, with one of our aliases being "The Dragon King", I wonder how that first interaction with Bahamut's avatar will go.

"You took my name?"

"You left it up for grabs. Needs must when the dragon flies."

"Fairly said."

Edit: Well, okay, I don't wonder, I know.

Cold anger.

We're a better king than that self righteous old failure anyway. He can die mad about it.

Now that's right.

None of this calm, martial fealty shit.

That's what it looks like when two dragons cross paths, burning cold stares, barely contained fury, and passive aggressive taunting threatening to erupt into horrific violence.

@zxzx24, Yrael needs:

Amulet of Tears
Possibly a Ring of Untarnished Glory to aid in rulership and whatnot

Also, I'm unsure of what armor to give him...

Maybe an Agile Segmented Reinforced Mithral Fullplate (+1) or something?

In any case, we're still waiting on DP to give us the list of what gear he has tomorrow.

Man, can you imagine what it will look like when we finally gather our eclectic crowd of individual allies for our assault on Tiamat's PoS fortress?

Worthy of an All-Star cast or several A-Team's worth of personalities.

We got:

Viserys, Dany, Richard, Lya, Waymar, Garin, Vee, Tyene, Maelor, Xor, Malarys, Rina

Bronn, Valaena, Softstrider, Argo, Azema, Mereth, Moonsong, Theon, Asha, Glyra, Oberyn

Zherys, Benerro, Alysande, Relath, Amrelath, Yrael, Wyla, Rhango, Teana, Velen,

Alas, Thoros, Kennos, Mercy, Aradia, Kira, Diana, Beryl, Aubert, Grazdan, Koron, Lohos, Alyssa, Danar

...to pick from. Though realistically you would want to take only those closer to our CR, and leave potentially everyone else with some mainstays behind to hold down the fort.

To whit, then:

Viserys, Dany, RIchard, Lya, Waymar, Garin, Tyene, Malarys
Bronn, Mereth, Oberyn, Glyra,
Zherys, Benerro, Relath & Amrelath, Yrael, Wyla,
Alyssa, Danar

Which would be TWENTY PC equivalents from all over.

TWENTY.

To be fair I posit that the fortress will have more strong CR so condensed threats, and if there's chaff we can just cut right through to the actually important stuff, so the utility of having a PC who could "solo a small army" like Vee around is smaller, but as TNE pointed out she's still really strong so... geez, I don't know which Companions we would end up taking, to be honest, only that we'd be leaving some behind.

And of course taking the whole cavalcade of Furies with us along with Mereth means that each group could have strong melees tagging along to tie down stuff. No bones about it, we would be able to bring to bear a STRONG force given all the contacts we have gathered over the years. Tiamat will be crying. CRYING.

Edit: Also, after writing this post, it makes me realize that this quest has like a hundred fucking recurring characters.

How about that?
