Wat.

Seriously.

Wat.

...

@Goldfish, please just nuke it from orbit. I'm tired of this.

[X] Goldfish

I had a nice and simple plan, but people weren't happy with it because it wasn't complicated enough to address every last thing that the fearmongering could come up with.

And now I get complaints about things being too complicated. And have to fight the peanut gallery because a few eggs might get broken.

All of this would have been way easier if we hadn't ignored Lys for months.

What? I seem to remember that this entire "pay Aedon and make him invade us with his army" plan was cooked up by you and diomeden. Most everyone was saying that it was too complicated. But they decided to go for it for the lolz.

The easiest and cleanest coup would be to disguise the Erinyes as sellswords and let them teleport into the building of the assembly. Once the session starts, they bar the exits. Aedon holds a speech, then sentences "his enemies" to death on the spot and crowns himself king.

Viserys and Azema are with him the entire time.

This was the original plan.

What was the original plan again? I'm so lost as to what was supposed to happen
Aedon is supposed to march against us so we can beat him and take the city. He's also supposed to purge the Spicers because it was felt necessary to eliminate them (never mind we never did anything quite like it in the other cities, the situation in Lys is different). In practice, Aedon is doing nothing without extensive handholding, because he's incapable at anything other than convincing people he's capable.

This is more like what happened yes. The plan was complicated from day 1.

Make that into a plan, please? I'll have something for dealing with the tunnels shortly.

Now,don't need to be much happy.

At the end of the day when we kill Robert the usurper.

We can look him in the eye and can said that"I know you are right" when we kill him.

That is not sarcasm that the fact of war.

"Out by the root"of xianxia story have basic in history.

Usually the justified reason of protagonist is "End the war fastest to waste life at minimum".

Less complex plan is perfect plan in this case.

The smiple version: Get Aedon to unite enough of Lys total power to start a war with us. He gets crushed in the field, we have a casus belli to strike back, and all of the hardcore anti-Viserys people conveniently die for supporting Aedon.

Unfortunatly he was to stupid to accomplish that. So now we are helping him make a coup against another faction, the Spicers, to gather the authority needed for this scheme.

@Azel
Same idea too. No messy storming and plundering of anything, just the Erinyes slitting some throats on Aedon's orders.

No. The original plan was to insert agents in the Slavers and to steer them to our advantage.

Instead I had to cook up something vastly overcomplicated, because nobody wanted a plan that hadn't plotted put every last step abd addressed every pet fear someone could come up with.

The original plan was just as overcomplicated where it counted as the final plan, the latter just had more explicit solutions to possible problems.

Why did we not go for this one?

Check out my Flashback omake to the Trident for the Knight Denys was sworn to, from House Sunglass.

Also, Thorne has a son, he mentioned it to Aemon I believe?
I'm only including the Lords and their immediate issue in the 'family trees,' and Guncer Sunglass has no children.

I talked to DP, and he said the reason Alister was so bitter was the fate of his house. Can you link me the post?

How is this? We should be able to carry this plan out in an afternoon of effort. We can seal all of the escape tunnels before the planned coup so that the Spicers are unable to escape.

[] From within a well secured basement or underground passage, creating one ourselves if necessary, Viserys Blood Wishes Commune with Earth spells in conjunction with using a map of Lys to locate and mark the secret escape tunnels of all known escape tunnels in Lys, paying special attention to the manses of Spicer faction members.
-[] Once all of the Spicer tunnels have been located, an Erinyes under the effects of an Invisibility spell with one of the Greater Stone Shape Titan Tools will Teleport into each tunnel and thoroughly seal its exit with as little apparent disturbance to the tunnel as possible.
-[] When Aeden begins his coup and the Spicers attempt to flee, teams of our trusted men will be sent to capture the families who could not flee from their manses due to the sealed tunnels.

This is terrible. It doesn't actually capture them!

@Azel, please remember that this is a democracy. Some people may be against you or want stupidly simple plans, but there are others who will back you - and all you need is a majority!
[X] Azel

Busy celebrating, can't think through long votes.

Well of course we would have to capture them, but that would just be a matter of sending men to their manses.
