So, just to be clear, we just lost our chance to capture the actual culprit behind all of this and are most likely going to loose the VIPs to the ritual failing.

Just because we couldn't be arsed to wait 12, maybe 30 seconds to get reinforcements.

Thus I DO NOT Pray...

...UNLIMITED SPELL WORKS!

Because two spells in one round aren't good enough, we insist on THREE.

@TotallyNotEvil
Why bother stabilize the building it we have our Erinyes get the VIPs out anyway.
Might as well teleport on and take a shot at capturing the enemy behind that door.
That the option exists implies that room won't collapse immediatly.

[X] Continue, teleport past the blockage

Just get on with it. They are dead anyway, thanks to Viserys acting like a hasty moron. Might at least try to catch whoever is behind this.

I'm not sure how reinforcements would have prevented this outcome.

There is no guarantee you lost anything yet, though the tunnel collapsing is definitely a problem you have to deal with.

I guess we can resurrect people after this is done, but I'm not going to pretend that I'm comfortable just letting everyone we don't care about die. That's assuming the demons don't have some sort of other contingency to make sure none of their victims can be revived. I think we should send the Erinyes to rescue as many people as we can while we go after whoever the culprit.

Nothing of this plan made any sense.

1. You pulled the only protection they had from the VIPs.
2. You acted hasty. I don't know why, but every single time in these situations, you start fretting until everything must be achieved in a single round. There was no reason to do this.
3. Vee and Tyene are both within Teleport range. All we needed to do was sending Mereth and Leto to them, getting a stone with Arcane Mark from each, then having them Teleport to the manse.
4. With Vee and Tyene around, we could have plainly ignored the Fly-Demon and have Viserys Teleport on while they protect the VIPs, gather the other guests with the Erinyes and clean the manse.
5. This would have prevented Viserys from triggering the obviously trapped doorway, thus meaning none of this collapsing building nonsense or the ritual failing.

Instead we got... this...

The best news here is that the CR 12 demon can't teleport away. Surely a CR 12 demon knows something that could be of use to us...
So even if the boss escapes we can figure something out for later.

[X] Azel
Eh, I dont care about anyone here, unlike for killing off an enemy.

You mean because we couldn't be arsed to teleport or phase through the wall and actually try and figure out what they were doing?

People decided it was Go Time. The fiend was about to realize it had been controlled, it was do or die and the alarm would be raised either way.

[X] Continue, teleport past the blockage
-[x] Send Mereth and Leto back up to protect the guests.

I hate feeling stupid in front of devils.
Should have left them up there.

We couldn't very well figure out they would try and possibly bring the entire mansion on our heads, aye?

Of course, if we stayed the course and didn't throw stealth in the air, we would all the time we wanted, and likely know a lot more than we do now.

But people don't care to think for a moment.

Look. They were doing something in that room to her and just blindly Teleporting or phasing through a wall into a room with an ongoing ritual is somewhere between reckless and stupid.

As for Go Time, I'm not disputing that it was Go Time, but this here was premature. The Demon may or may not have realized what went on. He would either have gotten entrance into the tunnel because he wanted to discuss this with his boss or went back to the manse to check what's wrong there, thus running right into Tyene and Vee, who would have arrived easily in the time it would have taken him to get there.

Either way, good for us. What he certainly wouldn't have done is collapsing the building on a hunch.

DM has warned us the whole time there are likely more demons around, so the guests needed protection anyway, even without the house collapsing.
This. Especially as Mereth and Leto are way below Viserys CR. Anything they would have been a help against, Viserys can pulverize in a swift action. And against anything that is a genuine threat to Viserys, all they could hope to achieve in these confined conditions is to die gloriously.

Mereth and Leto barely made it here with a description from Viserys. Vee would have been working with a second hand version of that. Tyene would have been even worse off, as she cannot use Greater Teleport.

Marked stones with Arcane Mark. And I didn't mean to get them into the camber and trigger the traps. I meant to get them to protect the VIPs and hold the manse while Viserys set the ant-hill on fire.

And not playing ghost would have allowed that.

Also, it wasn't exactly a summoning circle or a delicate and complex ritual, the devil got up and opened the door no problem. I highly doubt phasing through would have triggered anything, the ghosts do it all the time.

I'm pretty confident that the jig was up. I doubt going to the fridge and forgetting what you wanted is something that occurs to demons, especially said fridge is their likely temperamental and powerful boss.

@DragonParadox besides the Wal of Force suggestion, could Reserve Gravity work?
