I'm for leaving Qarth alone, unless they start to bother us, who cares about them the only interesting thing this city has is that it's the main port that connect Yi Ti to the rest of the world (which I admit is not nothing, but we have more important stuff right now), if you still want to visit the city, I propose that we at least take care of one of our problems first either the Illithid, Tiamat or the Lannister, because the moment we go there I bet that Dragon Paradox is gonna roll some horrible scheme that our "heroic" Vyseris will feel obliged to resolve and I want to go back to Westeros.
I didn't put the Others because they're the final boss. But yeah let's take out at least one of the main menaces (the Lannisters are more of a political than a military menace).

@Goldfish, is there place in this month's craft-schedule for:
a) 3 more mirrors to teach people through
b) 2 more dragon-glass statues for Night's Watch
c) Making a fuckton of obsidian weapons for Night Watch?

Narrow it down to just a small handful of the most useful, please. Now that we have Scrying and Divination, I don't have much in the way of personal preferences.
The list already is narrowed down. See the ones with the orange color. Those are priorities.
Getting the bard spells is best: Tongues as a level 2 ritual is dope. Legend Lore as a ritual sounds perfect for the hall of mirrors we just created! We also really need Dispel Magic and Remove Curse as Rituals because those make our little guys hugely more useful to all, and if we teach them all Interplanar Message or Sending (both can be gotten as rituals) then they become more useful to our Empire (because better communications is always good).
Remove Disease is one to be researched and spread far and wide.
I'm also a fan of Dominate Person and Modify Memory as rituals for the Inquisition?

A) There are already three more of the MirrorVision mirrors on the incomplete crafting schedule for this month.
B) Maybe
C) They already have more Dragonglass weaponry, courtesy of us, than they have people to wield it.

There are already three more of the MirrorVision mirrors on the incomplete crafting schedule for this month.
When are these to be finished, roughly?
I kinda want to start on that this very month
*compiles osme more actions for DP, PC doesn't hold up to an amount of tabs open*

End of the month, as always, barring special circumstances. Each one of them takes quite a bit of time, after all. Better to just wait and have them all ready at once.

*sheepishly*
I forgot about Silver Eye needing one too. Mind adding it if possible?

Three is probably the limit for this turn. Each of them costs 2880 IM, which translates to 14.4 crafting days per Mirror, before discounts are applied. Even with her hefty discount, it will be using 26 of Valeria's crafting days to produce three of them.

This is by no means comprehensive or even near complete. Figured we have to start somewhere, right? None of the province or city actions are included, either. For right now, I've got two sections, Primary and Secondary. Primary is mainly for Viserys and the Companions, who we might wish to micromanage to some degree, and Secondary is mainly for non-Companions who we can set on a main task for the month and leave to their own devices without needing to schedule every bit of their available time.

What else do we need to add to this? I know there are some actions DP hasn't included yet. Let me know and I'll slot a placeholder in for now.

Secondary:

[] Songs and Glories: The Lannisters tarnish your name and superstitious fools claim you consort with demons and monsters. Even the foul Deep Ones spoke of making you abhorred. Time and past time you picked up the gauntlet at your feet. Walk among the people of the Seven Kingdoms, learn of them, their woes and worries, then gather to you minstrels to sign true songs of your deeds.
-[] Assigned: Aradia the Huntress, Kira Windgraced, Azema

[] Works of Flesh: With the aid of the Flesh-Forge beneath Lys you can craft or improve all manner of beings to better serve your needs and those of your realm
-[] Order: Giant Fungal Darkenbeasts (x30), Advanced Druid Creature Lotus Leshy (x1),
-[] Fungal Pods (fungus-based platforms capable of supporting life-functions of various biological components, including but no limited to: Spider venom glands, Hydra poisonous blood and powerful hide, etc)
--[] Assigned: Vee, Naria, ???
-[] Research Goal: Discover how to grow Weirwood trees that are immune to fire.
--[] Assigned: Naria the Loreseeker

[] Diving for Treasure: Many ships have been sunk into a watery grave in these troubled seas, some carrying great treasures which you might better put to use.
-[] Assigned: Diana, the Queen Rhaella(ship)

[] Riders on the Storm: Rhango and his yet small Khalasar have tied their fortune firmly to yours, yet there is a request to unite the Dothraki people before they yet loose themselves on unsavaged lands to drown them in blood... or drown themselves. Together, you can seek and subdue them in turn be it by the sword or with offers of wealth and glory
-[] Assigned: Bronn, Argo, Maelor, Vaelana, Mercy

[] PLACEHOLDER
-[] Give someone a Wayfinder and a magical mount, have them traverse our lands and search for mineral deposits, rare stuff, and ley lines.

[] PLACEHOLDER
-[] Research the curse affecting the Spider Aberrations

Primary:
[] Sway Ruler: The hero gathers support among the ruling elite of another realm to gain alliance, vassalage or some other favorable diplomatic position
-[] Assigned: Garin, Glyra, Rhaella, Wyla

[] Prison Reform: Attempt to implement a more advanced prison system with emphasis on rehabilitation of offenders with aid from the Archons. Once the action has been taken for half the provinces in the realm it will naturally diffuse to the others (where posibile)
-[] Assigned:

[] Fire Whale Gem Harvesting: Baella's people have long since been the target of pirates and raiders, targeted for the gems they forge in their vast internal furnaces. Perhaps there might be a way to harvest then safely and use them to pay for protection
-[] Assigned: Xor, Velen, Rina

[] Guardian Nagas: PLACEHOLDER
-[] Summon and sacrifice the Marilith before the 26th of this month otherwise we lose the chance to get our Guardian Nagas forever.

[] Orb of Dragonkind (Red): PLACEHOLDER

[] Resurrect Sheepstealer: PLACEHOLDER

[] Visit Qohor: PLACEHOLDER
-[] Assigned: Viserys, Richard, Dany, Garin, ???

[] Invasion of Lys: PLACEHOLDER
-[] Assigned: To Be Determined

[] Annexation of Myr: PLACEHOLDER
-[] Assigned: To Be Determined

[] Simple Magics: Magic is more than dragon's blood or the work of gods and spirits. None know it better than Lya. The same base principles that allowed her to pick apart the threads of sorcery and kindle light long ago in Braavos can now be used to craft rituals that even those without the skill and temperament to arise full mages might face the otherworldly perils that stalk the world.
-[] Tongues: Lya
-[] Remove Curse: Dany
-[] Remove Disease: Rina
-[] Dispel Magic: Malarys

[] Study spells:
-[] Lya:
--[] From Scrolls: Greater Planar Binding, Mind Blank
--[] From People: Destruction (via Dany), Greater Dispel Magic (via Dany), Geas/Quest (via Dany)

[] Study Qarthi Lore: Deep and old runs the lore of Qarth, Gateway between East and West. Long have the Warlocks toiled in the workings of fell magics. Where others faltered, they endured. What secrets might be gleamed from their artifacts and writings? Lya is more than happy to try and seek the answers.
-[] Assigned: Lya

[] A Call into the Ether: You mat call otherworldly beings as servants, allies, or sources of information. With a better understanding of the tower's wards, the process will not be near as time-consuming. With the Scholarum likely to expand enormously you will likely need new teachers to keep up with the flow of students even with Velen pledging himself and some of his fellows to the task.
-[] Assigned: Viserys, Lya (NOTE: @Duesal, what do we want to summon here? Enemies, allies, Heart Tree fodder, etc. You've got a list, I'm sure)

[] Planar Trade
-[] Opaline Vault: Pick up commissioned items, return borrowed Mind Blank rings, receive payment for assassinating the Bey of Beggars, make additional purchases, attempt to hire additional crafters
-[] Assigned: Viserys, Richard, Tyene

[] Striking Coin: A king you are though yet uncrowned, that not even your foes can deny. Time then to leave the mark of your kingdom upon the world, and what better mark than the iniquitous coin? Not dragon, stag, and groat, but something to mark the birth of a new realm.
-[] Assigned: Viserys

[] Enchanting
-[] Assigned: Rina(15 days)

@Goldfish, pelase add research action on making Fungal Pods. Vee, I suppose,
This shit is long overdue, for how long Azel planned it, and we are likely to sacrifice spiders next turn if all goes right, so we need to transplant poison sacks soon-ish.

(along with any other suggestions you guys might have)
*sigh*
and here I wanted to go to university in 5 hours...
eh, skipping 1 day won't kill me. And if it will, it will be future me's problem.

@DragonParadox, here are some "to-write-up" actions
research actions:
[] Fungal Pods (fungus-based platforms capable of supporting life-functions of various biological components, including but no limited to: Spider venom glands, Hydra poisonous blood and powerful hide, Mammon's Body's production of blood to be turned into liquid concepts of Evil and Law, Brijidine's skin (Chaotic and Good components), Dawn Age fruit (to get constant stream of juice at need)
[] Fire!Heart Tree
[] Deciphering of The Golden Egg (was concluded to be coded by thread, seems legit)
The Golden Egg
Description:
This tome is filed with a tight-packed string of words and syllables that seems to have sprang forth from a madman's quill, from macabre poetry and disjointed musical notion it more than often delves into sheer nonsense bereft of rhyme or reason. The only easily decipherable part of the codex is on the final page, a table entitled: The Elements of Nature.
Content: A list of very precise densities given for various elements, far too precise to obtain with mundane tools available.
[] Reading through Uniila (with Deliste's spell list)
[] Further research of Maelephant's breathweapon (general direction - anti-illithid weapons and measures)
-[] Research the "poison"-component of it, Tyene?
-[] Research general principles of mind-manipulation
[] Try to do something with Demonblood-Crystals (currently on a ship on PoF)
-[] Upgrade the Oathkeeper?
[] De-ambering the dragon hatchling and diplomancing it so hard Tiamat will feel it.
[] Further research in Warforged and snek-souls for Svitran and Anu, unless they are on these by default?

Crafting:
[] Upgrade Dark Sister (+ research Runelore)
[] Make Dany an item out of Tiamat's scales (+research Runelore)

Adventure:
[] Red Dragon Orb
[] Tiamat holdings in plane of shadow :anger:

[] Take care of the Chimera-making magister we've learned few months ago... or what is left of him.

Miscallaneous:
[] Give someone a Wayfinder and a magical mount, have them traverse our lands and search for mineral deposits, rare stuff, and leyliens.
[] (MINOR-ish) Propaganda at people of Tyrosh through magical mirror you have placed at SD's arena. Refer to Azel for speech contents.
[] Deliver promised supplies to Night's Watch
-[] Obsidian weapons, OG-Wolves, food, Hardened instruments, etc.
-[] More Heart Trees and Dragon-Glass statues? Refer to Goldfish and Duesal for crafting and loot-dispensing respectively.

I don't know the cathegory:
[] Start a new course in Scholarum
-[] Partucularly, I'm looking at "Achemist" class and how you asked only for "a source of lore" back when we asked what is needed to become one. Have Waymar's research been enough, yet?
-[] Necromancy, one day?
-[] Weird-ass method of awakening magic, one "lady-from-silver-eye-whose-name-I-can't-remeber" used?

...It is too late for me, I'll probably think up more tomorrow.
@DragonParadox, do take your time with this.
This shit is awkward and mere Strategic-scale actions don't encompass even a part of what we want to do here, even if such doings aren't mentioned in-story.

So we kind of have to get this form finalized now rather than go off with half-baked system.

I'm sure no-one will mind getting fewer updates for a day or two.
Not like that other quest haven't done that already.

A lot of rituals require Lya to research them because only she can cast arcane spells as divine spells. Sadly, Sarah of Pentos really can't do much research because she's a sorcerer who knows very few spells. She could research Tongues,as a level 3 spell, but DP never said that she's learned the lore necessary to do the research. So far DP has confirmed the Lya, Viserys and Daenerys can do this research.
If you are researching spells, I'd stick Lya on it and research Tongues (as a Bard 2 spell - easier to cast) and Legend Lore (as a Bard 4 spell - I'm sure there was a way for Lya to get level 4 Bard Spells somehow... Or maybe it was just that Daenerys could Dreamcast them and Dreamcasting counts as Arcane casting, and so we should have Daenerys research this? I'm not too sure)

...or you can have "read through Uniila" as a first such action in the month, and get a decent chance at getting workable, ready-to-use ritualized spells.

Converting which to be less diabolic shouldn't take as much as thinking them up from the ground up.
So, could be done by someone aside from these 3.

"All of good breeding, I trust?" he asks sharply. "There is power in the old blood, for certain greater power when it is not mingled with the blood of mongrel whores."

Though hidden by glamours and wrapped in its sturdy sheath you can feel Dark Sister grow heavy at your side at the words. "Soon, milady. His death shall be all the sweeter once he has served his purpose," you send, brushing your fingers across the sword's hilt.

An image of the magister's corpse missing his hands and head flickers through your mind, edged in cold rage. "As good an end as any."

Reminder that we've got Aedon's ignoble death penciled in for half past Viserys Rex. :V

@Goldfish
This doesn't seem right
[] A Forge of Flesh: It is time, perhaps past time, that you visit Qohor of the daughters of Valyria, the one who best kept her secret arts, for there is much to be learned there for those who would dare the shadow of the Black Goat... more than even the sorcerer-priests know.

-[] Research Goal: Discover how to grow Weirwood trees that are immune to fire.
--[] Assigned: Naria the Loreseeker
I think you got caught up in the naming scheme

Also, @Goldfish, be so kind to pen in a visit to PoA to trade too.
SLA-scrolls are waiting for us.

Info on Heart of Ice does too, if I remember the timing correctly.

And why Tyene? Richard and Viserys should be enough for a shopping trip these days.
She can, instead, try to figure out the "poison" part in Maelephant's poison-breath.

*innocent whistling of a person that totally doesn't push their agenda here*

I'm sharing this here, because it's amazing.

... @Goldfish, we are going to Qohor first thing this turn.

Right?
Not first thing. That's going to be visiting the Opaline Vault. That's got to be first for several reasons.

Lys is going to be soon, though. I'm not sure when it's supposed to go down this month, @Azel? I would prefer to visit Qohor before that, just to avoid complications.

I don't see how any of the rituals can be researched as Bard spells without the researcher also being a Bard. If Lya researches Tongues, it would either be as a 3rd level Arcane or 4th level Divine spell.

Good point on Sarah not likely being able to conduct that research. Putting Lya in on that one for now.

Is this a story I can read somewhere? Or is it just a dirty teasing what-if?

@Duesal Highly specific information request.

Which is 33.54% more specific than the previous ones.

If you're tracking population movements form previous turn plans, what is the current population size for all the settlements roped into the half of the Stepstones SD is included in? It's hard to track specific numbers on the google documents sheets because they lump Saltcliff, Everfire Dale, Mosshold and Sorcerer's Deep together, with Deepcleft and Port Sorrow (I think?) on the other sheet. Meaning the front page is probably not accurate as of recent shifts... also I think 6th turn didn't get accounted up in last system's style because the turn vote just appeared, and I think more population movement got voted on during 6th turn's vote.
Sorry @Crake, this is one piece of info that I wasn't keeping track of. I did try a while ago because we do technically keep track of it on the front page, but the rate of growth was just too random and frequent for me, so I more or less gave up on that aspect. You're better off asking @Azel or @DragonParadox there.

Anyway... my top priorities for this turn. @Goldfish, sorry to bug you, but you are making the traditional schedule on Excel and I'm not really getting the new system, so...

1. Opaline Vault -- I have scrolls to purchase there. Very important scrolls. And we need to get paid for getting rid of the Bey. And pick up crafting materials and make more commissions. And hire more crafters instead of commissioning weaker magic items.
2. Resurrect Sheepstealer -- according to DP it's going to take a full day to make arrangements on where to hide Sheepstealer, and Dalla apparently needs to talk to us in person as well.
3. Orb of Dragonkind (Red) -- send a strike team of PCs warded under Mind Blank to get that orb, Viserys can be summoned if they need help on a difficult fight. This is simply far too dangerous to us to leave outside our direct control.
4. Guardian Nagas -- Summon and sacrifice the Marilith before the 26th of this month otherwise we lose the chance to get our Guardian Nagas forever.
5. Lys & Myr -- These two are obvious and long-awaited.
6. The spider aberrations -- I was hoping to set aside some time to get them uncursed so we can get two more PCs out of the bargain. It should be doable this turn if I'm not mistaken.
