Like I said, that doesn't matter. People will still demand that the rider be king. Lots of rebelions and assassinations were done in order for unwilling people to become monarchs both in ASoIaF and our own world.
@Prince Sheo, the demands of the people, while somewhat important, are irrelevant in terms of who precisely is going to sit on the Throne.

Viserys is King. Period.

And more importantly, Viserys is the Dragon.

Anyone who challenges that is fucked.

So sure, we can get Viserys the redundant Valyrian Dragon solely for PR purposes, but that's only for a boost in PR, it's not because we fear rebellion. We would laugh heartily at any rebellion before sending our legions in, then showing up in person.

The Doom and subsequent loss of magic was not kind on most immortals. Those that did not get fried generally crumbled
That's fantastic. :D

That means that all of their treasure is just waiting for us to swoop down and take it! :)
So, why shouldn't we learn it?

Is this a sign time is running short?
It's OOC so that we can get the other questions answered fast and move on to Rhaella. And even if we don't learn it now, we are eventually getting it anyway with all the other lore taught to the dragonpen.

That is really good news! Makes me much less wary about more Surprise!Lich ambushes in the future.

Less good news, we need to squeeze more lore out of Malarys in case we have to execute him for using poor people/prisoners of war/etc. to turn himself into an immortal lich (without getting crown approval first, obviously).

Time better not be running short. We've waited for this for years and still have at least seven days allotted for the meeting, or six if we allow a day for travel time in returning to SD.

For there to be a sudden emergency that conveniently interrupts the meeting would be ridiculous.

On dragon: I suspect the bond boosts sorcery somehow.

Its still a fearsome killing machine.
I still feel as though having what amounts to a Feral Dragon is rather pointless when you're an actual dragon.

It would be like a hobgoblin having a pet goblin because goblins can also hit people with stuff, even though the hobgoblin is superior in every way.
It just makes much more sense for the Dragons to go to people who can actually make use of them, personally.

But PR is what we need the most if we want a stable realm. I'm not saying that any sort of rebelion will be able to threaten us, I'm saying that not having that dragon will slow us down as people grumble about us not being a "proper targaryen". And rebelions cost cash to put down and rebuild and it ALWAYS breeds further resentment, somthing that a politically and financially savvy Viserys will not want to happen. Besides, this is just the first egg, we are sure to find other eggs, hatch and grow them by the time we start recovering westeros

I'm not sending any OOC signals with the vote choices. You might simply not want to learn it now because it's explicitly unreliable and there are other places you can look for lore on Valyrian steel.

Anyway, night guys.

See you tomorrow with... well hopefully we'll get to the end of the questions.:)

I would expect the Valyrian Dragon to curl around Viserys neck like Dany does around us right now.

It will look downright silly but I really want to see people's reactions :V

That's the problem I want to avoid, because people are (rightfully) more loyal to their family than their superiors and deposing or killing one of them will just make us more enemies. Let's just have the first dragon for ourselves so that this entire series of scenarios be avoided
Valaena isn't that stupid, she has seen what we can do, she's not going to think a Valyrian dragon gives her any chance of taking the throne, so even if we thought she would be ready to turn against us, she knows that she would have no chance, and frankly it was her who got the dragon egg, it's only fair that she should get the dragon.

You're being paranoid, people aren't going to demand a dragon rider from a lesser family be king, especially not since the rider will be a woman, most of Westeros aren't particularly fond of female rulers, we have the legitimacy of being of the royal line, we have extreme power of magic, and the dragon rider is loyal to us, only absolute morons would try to crown her instead, and most of those morons are chauvinists, who wouldn't want a woman to rule Westeros.

The Lannisters got the dragon eggs, she held it for less than a second till we rescued her. And like I said, I don't belive that any lord will actually rebel for her (well, some would like to, especially religious dornish), they'll just use her as an excuse to be greedy and not commit to anyone when war comes, since "indecision" seems to be a valid excuse to not side with your liege in westeros.

And before I forget:
[X] Learn the ritual

Do we still have those VS needles to try the ritual on? Hehe.

Yep 27 Edittttt: pounds of the suff. 27 horrifically non-metic lbs. This'll at least get some use out of them without having to go to Quarth? Quhor? Valerian Steel place.

Almost forgot, since the vote does not look to be that contested, you can also do Maelor and Glyra's level ups. Glyra gets one level from the hydra swindle.

Important question; Can Maelor make use of his +12 (ish) boost to Spellcraft without having taken any ranks in it?

Not like we'd need them at that point. Our plans include a better army that answers to us directly, and being an army roasting dragon. A few thousand levies from some Walder Frey analogues will be a rounding error of our military strength. And after the fights are over, we'd round down with fire.

In the end, what I'm saying is that having the first dragon for ourselves won't take away much (we'll most likely get more of them soon) and will prevent the ruffling of some feathers (namely Malarys) and save us some trouble and coin down the road.

... Alright, that is a point. Malarys would expect us to stay top dog and get the first dragon hatched for ourselves before handing them out to subordinates.

I guess we're going to be raiding the Lannisters, then.

@Duesal
Now that my fears have been assuaged (sorry btw), do the questions include info on our enemies? Sweet gossip regarding the lannisters or the King would be nice, something we can exagerate and add to the rumor mill.
You know, turning something inocuos like the sister spending the night with her brother into a sordid tale of adultery and depravity including their father and a Horse dressed as the high septon.
Or you know, a catchy song, "The cucked buck"
