Viserys turns into a giant dragon man and has full casting, he does not really need a new weapon.
He doesn't need it, but we really wanted one. It would have been a great symbol of our pact with the Old Gods if Viserys was the one to wield a weirwood runestaff.

Here's to hoping that when we get Blackfyre we can get the Old Gods to purge Tiamat's taint via sacrifice of something powerful.

Che. Guess I'm getting more rhetorical fiber in my diet.

I really thought the staff would complete our evil sorcerer king image.

"I would suggest the little swamp witch... the one with an unusual love of snakes," the elder mage replies. "The power worked into the wood is one of times far gone, and sensing its presence many of the Voices of the Gods that might otherwise lie silent will wake and make themselves known, a strain upon the traveler's mind though less so if they are known."
Sounds good, but Vee already has Wall of Thorns and enough summoning spells.
We need only the teleport and we'll soon bring up our own to Greater Teleport, so not exactly an awesome gift.

Now I'm tempted to take the sword for Viserys at least...

I think the larger part of the staff is that it will give us the ability to bypass the wards that are now returning to life around the ancient keeps of the Seven Kingdoms. That's a powerful tool, in a way Greater Teleport isn't.

You can also swap out her wall of thorns and it is a +2 weapon she can use, which has some significance to her character.

I guess it shows that I designed this thing way back when Bloodraven fist showed it to you. I like the theme but if you guys are really disapointed I could change it.

We can't retrain Vee's current Wall of Thorns spell, because she gets it from her Nature Domain.

Heads up that I'm going to be stuck in class for the next two hours. Can someone take charge and puck a line of questions to ask? There's Tiamat, there's current events, there's the Landwarden & Lich sacrifice, etc.

[X] Talk about the Illithid Capital where it's very likely an Elder Brain resides, and how you've thought about killing two birds with one stone and and nuking it through teleported wildfire. We could use some help in the execution, and perhaps make the whole thing a grand sacrifice just to be sure?

Feels kind of strange and lackluster that this major turning point in Visery's life quest came with nothing actually suited for him. It'd have felt less egregious if there hadn't been any material rewards involved at all, but maybe that's just me.

@TotallyNotEvil, add all questions relating to wildfire to that.
Which are?

the magical sorcerous sword is probably quite something. Dedicate sorcerer's items have neat effects like "sorcerer casting +1". Yeah, go up a whole level with

@TotallyNotEvil @DragonParadox

20. Inquire if he knows anything of Valyrian lore, or dragonlore. You've come into possession of a dragon's egg and you're preparing to start hatching it, and you'd like to avoid a Summerhall incident.
21. As a followup, ask if he knows what caused Summerhall.
30. Talk to him about your recent truce with the Deep Ones and your battle with Devils in White Harbor, and also about how the Devils attempted to assassinate Renly Baratheon during your parlay with the man, which would have forever tarnished your image had you succeeded.
31. Further elaborate on the Renly situation in general, on what Renly is, and on what agreements you've come to with him and what you resolve to do.
32. Now that it's safe to do so, ask about the Wildfire in King's Landing. How unstable is it? How do we move it? Could the Old Gods move it with a potent enough sacrifice? Where does Wildfire originate and how is it made? We know that Aerys brought the Alchemist's guild from Volantis, but what about before that?
33. What does Bloodraven know of the "Deceiver"? What does he know of the Doom? You've had this vision of the Doom:
That night you dream of Valyria and its fall, disjointed flashes of sorrow, pain and terror and at the end of it all green flame and a vast booming thunder that almost sounds like the mocking laughter of some titanic beast.
What exactly did you see? The connection with Wildfire is... concerning.

I'd do things in order of immediate concerns. Dealing with the Landwarden comes before dealing with the Elder Brain.

Though both the Landwarden and the Elder Brain problem both come under the same theme of sacrificing enemies to all mankind.

Well there's also Dark Sister which I can't reveal yet.

Poor DP makes Viserys an awesome family sword, and we disdain it, hoping for the other family sword that isn't in hand. :V
