The latest update to my plan takes that into account.

I'm fairly confident that we can get Ser Richard, or at least Viserys to drop in a few charges to keep them spread out. Preferably Viserys, as he needs healing charges least, before we start shouting at them for being dicks.

It'd be easy to do, I doubt the bearman is going to attack while we heal the ranger if we add it in to say 'hold up, healing'

And this guy is an angry bearman possessed by the big-bear-spirit. Why not ask, instead of accuse - basically to me an optimal outcome is the bear not killing those it views as weak in it's silly hyper-group-darwinism perspective.

All of that would require Richard and Viserys to get out of position just to heal Harwood. It makes no sense to do it that way. It would be like saying "hold up one moment, please, we need to heal our companion before going back to trying to murder you".

Harwood won't be too helpful if this comes to a fight anywyr.

Problem with this is, that's Arya. How about:

[X] "Viserys Targaryen, King of the stepstones. I champion the Gods of Stone, Earth, and Tree. I am here to learn why those who call themselves enemies of winter kill the free folk instead of aiding them, and work weaken the shield that guards the realms of men"
The moment Arya gets her own kingdom, grows a few trees with multiple effects and declares war on the Seven, she can call herself that, until then the title its ours.

Actually I recall we can take grafts from dead stuff, we just need to use necromancy. So that makes it less nice and generally an evil act. :(

Bring it back against its will and then take grafts from it! That sort of thing's never gone badly for us*!

*To be fair, that was an unwilling sophont that was a servant of the Others, so maximum bad idea combination right there, but messing with rez magics looks to be very much a salt-heavy avenue of experimentation.

Edit: Do we want to declare ourselves for a god-like entity? "I champion the Gods of Stone, Earth, and Tree" to something like... oh, I'm drawing a blank, we are generally championing for them a bit, it is the word that fits best imo. Just wary of declaring for them.

That said, they have no problem being in a poly-deictic relationship with a person, so they're the one group that we can champion and still be able to have the "I can choose you as patron if you treat me good" card in our pocket (not that I would ever want to play it. Anyone we'd want to champoint, we'd be happy to aid without declaring for them).

Screw it :D. We champion for the Old Gods, but as part-time volunteer, with bonus for special effort (sacrafies)

See I see this moment as peaceful, and we can extend this peaceful moment for a bit to heal, then talk for a bit, then decide if we attack. I think you see this as a pause in violence where we choose between killing or diplomancing, depending on the response we get.
...

I disagree, but not enough to actually argue. You already have my name-vote ;)

Edit: Richard is beside Harwood atm, and Dany is very nearby, but while I'd like to calm the situation down enough to heal as efficiently and fully as we can (as Harwood has all of the value as a living diplomanced witness, none as a combatant), I'm uncomfortable to interfere with Richards undoubtedly prepared "Fuck up bear-god possess-e if it makes a wrong move" as I worry he might get caught in some aoe-attack, though that would be unthematic for a bear unless it's fear-descriptor or has enough levels to have added one to it's repitor.

Ya'll know, Harwood is kind of growing on me. If he were to die here, he would have technically fulfilled his oath to the Nightwatch. There's no one saying we couldn't take him back to SD and Raise him. If he wasn't a PC before this fight, he damn sure should be now.
He can join Sir Richard in being the only sane man among the mad.

If we were going to give Richard a template, I would prefer Half-Dragon. Not the most powerful, but definitely the most thematically appropriate. Just need a way for him to change between human and HD forms.

That's tangential to your post, but it seemed like as good a place to mention it as any.

Enhanced Half Dragon Template bound to the Valyrian Steel sword made with the life sacrifice of a Master Smith of a dying age and the true blood of the First and Last Sorcerer King passed down from generation to generation.

House Lonmouth IS the Kingsguard.

Umm no thanks? There's a hierarchy.

She can be Champion of the Old Gods just fine because the Old Gods are Champions of Viserys Targaryen.

Funnily we share something with the Wildlings, we do not kneel.

You know, the wildlings must have a tough life out in the frozen wastes. We always need people, maybe they might have some people that want to emigrate?

We really should make more use of True Casting and Spell Vulnerability to overcome
SR on the next spell regardless of how many targets and on the targeted creature regardless of attackers at 3 and 1 spell levels cheaper for an equivalent and greater bonus respectively than Assay Spell Resistance.
Duration: one spell with a Casting Time of one standard action, and Casting Time: 1 round, make thos not really that great.

I suppose we could use the Rod to Quicken True Casting and use an AoE spell, but again, one spell, and stil eats up a swift action that could be Quickened Darts/Fireball, Assay SR or Necrotic Bomb.

Our current breath weapon isn't terrible either, if we need to ignore SR in area. And it gets good at 15th and great at 16th.

I think Patrons or Sponsors is a better term for the relationship between Viserys and the Old Gods and speaking of the Old Gods if we bring our Ranger friend with us to join our party. Nearly dying in battle against a monster in all out assault of unbridled fury is a pretty barbarian thing to do, Mayaps if the Ranger does become a PC he could be visited by visions of rage and wrath echoing through the ages as we make our pilgrimage to Blood Raven slowly over time awakening to the primal fury within. One way or another we are getting a blood thirsty maniac to shout BLOOD FOR THE OLD GODS!!!!!!! SKULLS FOR THE WEIRWOOD THRONE!!!!!!!!! BURN THE SEVEN POINTED STAR!!!!!! MURDER THE HYPOCRITE GODS!!!!!!!!

I wonder what Meage Mormont would make out of this. Probably outrage but one wonders...
