Maenad have some abilities that would make this a bad idea. We want people to flee and hide, out of sight of them, rather try to fight and end up mind whammied.

Maenad – d20PFSRD
Nine hit die per Maenad? :D

We only need two of these things to grow a full Weirwood and two more after that nets us two secondary effects. If we get super lucky we'll get enough for the third secondary effect, but I doubt it.
Blood Component: Sacrifice of 16 HD worth of sentient creatures who must be hung from the tree or if the branches will not support them, impaled before its roots.
  • 1 Secondary effect: 24 HD worth of sacrifices
  • 2 Secondary effects: 36 HD worth of sacrifices
3 Secondary effects 54 HD worth of sacrifices
Anyway, about where the Weirwood is, I'm rather fond of the Diplomacy tree idea. We could grow it in the town square of Sorcerer's Deep and give it both Heart's Ease and Tongues so that foreigners can barter freely there.

That's acceptable. I imagine we'll end up neutralizing these pretty quickly, but still lose the entire leadership cadre here.

On the one hand that means we can expect some ships from this, we can move the slave population to SD, a boon in itself. Some sacrifices, maybe. If someone's responsible for all of this, maybe less one potential enemy if we run into them.

But no leadership elements means we'll have our own people pulled away from other stuff if we want to hold it... well, whatever. There'll be goodies, but a headache to manage to go with it.

  • [X] Hunt the Maenads as a group. We will try to subdue them if possible, in order to later sacrifice them to Yss or the Old Gods.
-[X] Give Dany the signal to begin blocking the harbor.
-[X] Viserys casts Mage Armor on Tyene, Hastes the entire group, uses a scroll to cast Protection from Evil on himself, then takes on LHD form. Use a Ribbon of Disguise to appear human, so as to not further terrify the populace.

@Duesal, I too would like to grow another Heart Tree and all but... We don't have an extra weirwood sapling!

I highly doubt we can just cut off a branch from the one we have, stick it in the ground and do the ritual to grow it.

In any case,

[X] Goldfish

Also, we should make sure Dany and the Pech's are not affected by the enchantment.

Shit, if we loose high command then our task here will take longer... on the other hand, when Tyrosh sends someone to see what happened, all the important positions will already be taken by "the old guy's subordinates" (which are totally not Alinor and Ser Gerold's men... at all!)

like, 99% sure Azema knew this was coming or set this up. So demon reward/punishment again? She did excellent work, but placed us in danger by not letting us know ahead of time?

Also we can probably scare the people back indoors if we take LHD form, crank up both of our auras, and roar really, really, loud.

Also probably scare most of the Maenad away, but no plans perfect.

Actually, we totally can. :p

If we cut off a branch and stick it into the ground, given enough time it grows into a perfectly healthy weirwood. The ritual sacrifice only speeds the process up.

Dany has our group's best willsafe, no worries there.

Good chance that this is just the god's reaction to a demon abusing his vestival for her plans.
He'll have to deal with it.

Some natural leaders will emerge. First mates, lower officers, etc. What we are really losing are the connections to Tyroshi nobility that the higher officers have. It's...irritating. Particularly since I should have seen this coming.

On the plus side, most of the slaves are likely either owned by higher officers, officials, or the state of Tyrosh itself. So fewer people to complain when we free them. I'm not entirely sure we want to move them all out of here, either. Like, they should get the choice, but the more freed slaves around to report any skulduggery the better.

Whelp, say bye to the high command. But hey, clean government slate? And if the wine really was from others I think it's time for Tyenne and Waymar to look at that stuff more closely...

Seriously? Can't we go anywhere without causing a slaughter?
I swear, property values will drop the second we step into a city at this rate.

On the flip side, this mess turns a blatant land grab into a great act of heroism.
And better this happens now then a month after we took Westhaven or everyone would claim it to be divine punishment for something.

Actually bluffing Azema that she will get spanked by Viserys, would be a pretty good punishment for her. :V

I think she would probably combust in hellfire... Wait damn she wont figure it out. :o

Lets get those juicy sacrifices!
As for how slavery would look under R'hllor, look at the Aztec pantheon, specifically Tezcatlipoca, one of his (many) names means "We are his Slaves".
Aztec slavery was not hereditary, people could become slaves by committing crime, incurring debt or to escape poverty.
Slaves could not be sold against their will, could have their own slaves and regain their freedom through several means.
Mistreating a slave was considered an insult to Tezcatlipoca.
