[X] [Dream] Write to Viserys

I'm just really curious to hear what Viserys would make of that dream.

[X] [Gwayne] Give him the favor.
Yeah, I know but I was thinking more about Alicent being weirded out about the prospect of her beloved Nyra fucking his brother...
Honestly, this sounds like a great way to have that conversation. A favor isn't a promise of anything, but it's likely to spur a talk with Alicent about the idea.

If we give our Favor out, this might trigger Cole and end up hurting/killing Gwayne.
People get hurt all the time by "accident"….

I was thinking that the results might be in the other vein, that our favour would help Gwayne to beat Criston.

Also Criston is a petty and angry man, but he's not currently going through an identity crisis from breaking his vows, in fact, he's actually in a really good mood so far.

[X] [Dream] Talk to Syrax
[X] [Gwayne] Decline the offer.

I do not think we offer our favor this early, needless of Gwayne's being okay. But also I just personally don't want to pursue that relationship.

[X] [Dream] Do Both
[X] [Gwayne] Give him the favor.

On telling Alicent about the Dream: while we're concerned she would react badly, in canon Viserys tells Alicent about his dream and she's not dismissive. And I feel like reeling Viserys is just good sense: he might be a dreamer as well and views them as real and valuable, but he also has had dreams which he thought were dragon dreams and no longer does.

I'm for beard!Gwayne, and this is plausibly deniable enough that we can probably change course if necessary.

While having our beard be our lover's brother might be weird in a modern context, where people can be more open, I think this pattern has some historical precedent (Emily Dickinson's lover married Emily's brother). I don't think Emily's brother knew, but Gwayne definitely does. I really suspect that Alicent would not mind.

And if she would, she might let us know after giving him the favor.

Well, Gwayne approaches this tactfully, so we could play it safe and shake our head. And I still hold out for the Laenor option as a way to reconcile with the Velaryons. But, on the other hand, the favour doesn't mean much except for setting tongues wagging. So, let them talk.

Guess we the Greens now.

I will say that as much as I dislike Cole as a person (albiet season 2 makes him a rather interesting figure, helps that his actor is great) he's not that petty. He spiraled into the mess he was in later canon because he had a mental crisis over breaking his oaths and blamed it all on Rhaenyra. This Cole, he takes serious issue with Rhaenyra being a warrior but he's not having a mental breakdown over it.

I just... Don't want to give our favour away before we have recieved Alicent's. It feels wrong that we get to play the role of Lady before she does.

Gonna publically tie those kids so close that Otto will have to side with us.
Still hoping for the Laenor marriage though.

For Syrax, I just want to pet the big lizard. She's definitely got some deep wisdom to lay down, I know it.

At the moment my preference is to the idea of trying to push Gwayne with Rhea Royce

I see Rhea/Gwayne as a potential match, that might tighten bonds between the Vale (our base of support) and the Reach (which has the Largest population out of all of the Seven Kingdom). If we are going for a political marriage, the best choice is Laenor Velaryon (so we can get House Velaryon's dragons on our side)

Giving Gwayne our favor seems like it would put him in needless risk. A reminder that in canon Cole used tournies as cover for crippling opponents he had a grudge on, including Harwin and Joffrey. No reason to have Cole extend whatever issue he may still have with us to Gwayne as well.

That aside, I'm also not to enthused with having Gwayne as our match either, so that would be another reason to avoid giving him a favor in such a public tourney.

Cole doesn't have nearly the same dislike of us as he did in canon

Dragons are good to Talk to. They don't judge (unless they are cat-like)
