Note that we very much did not come here to side with anyone in particular, just trying to visit family of various sorts, as well as Aki himself...ask about Hal Wolfhound in that regard. Also ask if he's heard of Reidar Swordfury being involved in all this, as he should be aware there's some history there and things might get awkward if he and Halla run into each other in the wrong context.
 
The fact that nobody has asked what Aki smells like is a shame, smh. Y'all are losing your edge

I wonder if the people here have Odr Infusions, though?

Hiatus and The Future New

    • This is difficult for me to say and I feel sick to my stomach, but I've procrastinated it for long enough, so here we go.

    As ill fate would have it, I will be forced to put NorseQuest on hiatus for the foreseeable future. The fact that this is happening shames me to no end and I want you all to know that, before anything else, I am sorry.

    I got your hopes up and I failed to see those hopes fulfilled. It's my fault, nobody else's. I fucked up, and I am sorry.

    I have had a difficult past several weeks and have had to enact a radical restructuring to my lifestyle in ways I would rather not detail online. Suffice to say, I will now be writing with the intent of making it a career rather than simply as a hobby. That means I need to focus my writing for that career.

    One day, when the stars align just right, I promise you that I will return. That I will write the ending that Halla deserves, that you deserve.

    Until then, however, I need to be able to support myself financially. Step one of doing that is by building a sizeable reader-base. If you wish to help me build that reader-base, you can do so by reading Guiding Light on Royal Road.

    I can't promise i'll stick with your new story, but I will check it out.

    For what it's worth... quests fail all the time. It need not be the horrible crippling shame you have told yourself that it is. We had a good long run and a lot of fun along the way, and if you do come back to give us a proper finale that's great, but even with just what's here already you've done way, way more than most QMs manage.

    You have my sympathy and my well-wishes.
     
    You don't owe us anything, @I.F. Ister - any of the things that any author writes for people is pretty much implicitly granted as pro bono. Patreon exchanges are different since you're trading money for content, but this? This is solely at your sufferance, and you shouldn't feel guilty about not being able to do it right now.

    Though on a semi-related note, Halla's story rewritten into a chapter story would do hella numbers on RR. I know you're focused on Guiding Light atm, but perhaps a secondary option if it pops up.

    Thank you for the suggestion. I've thought about transferring Halla's story to chapters in the past, but decided against it because I wanted to build a large readerbase first before engaging in the experimental and innovative such as Halla's story is
