One has 2 Vehicle Weapon mounts standard, the other has 1 Vehicle Weapon Mount standard.

Vehicle weapon mounts can be broken down into two Heavy Weapon mounts for free, so having 2 standard is likely to save 5 total EP (the slot conversion surcharge) across the majority of things we actually deploy the platform for. This was basically just a mistake on my end, as the one who wrote the plan I'm advocating against here.

The net effect of this is that our tanks will cost ~2% more than they need to when they enter production, unless the kink gets worked out here.

As such, the plan I currently advocate for is Plan: Fata Morgana-class Medium Battle Tank Chassis .

    it happens. the setting and mechanics make plan forming complex and sometimes what your aiming for isn't what you created initially.

    great. @Mechanis can we do some diplomacy before design anything else? between 4 days my enthusiasm is a little spent and it's probably better to handle diplomatic stuff during the weekend when more voters have free time given their likely impact on our priorities for the next several turns.

    Coloring in Vectary is... very primitive.
    It can't do UVW mapping beyond really crude projections, can't do multi-materials (so if you want things to be different colors, they have to be different objects,) and if you don't use a special, non-standard form of copying things it adds new instances of the material, which baloons memory use like dickens. I may do some basic color blocking to bring out details a little better, sometimes, but full color is not especially likely.
    (a lot of this is because they decided to have custom material libraries be part of their Freemium model, which is why each material takes up one of your 25 free project slots. so they're definitely never implementing multi-materials, ha.)

    Yeah though, light grav-vehicle unmodified is a silly bean, hopefully the modded one is more reasonable.
