What about something like this:
[] To obtain your own Valyrian Steel sword: Weapons whose crafting method have been lost to time, Valyrian Steel swords today are considered relics one and all, and to merely hold one is considered to bring respect to those that do so. Whether by proving worthy in your father's eyes to wield Blackfyre in his stead or obtaining a third blade for house Targaryen you will obtain one for yourself.

Seems like a pretty appropriate ambition for at least a Visenya Reborn background.
See the thing is Backfire is Rhaenyras inheritance so she gets it eventually anyways ideally. Just make it clear the goal is to be granted the sword early as acknowledgment of your skill and it will be fine

If she wants to consciously be Visenya Reborn, she may try to find out where the fuck Darksister has gone, of course. But Blackfyre is the sword of the King or the Heir, so yes, and Rhaenyra's legitimacy will be doubted anyway, so she kinda needs in fact that one specific sword to signal her legitimacy.

Daemon has Dark sister at the moment. Getting it from him would be a challenge

I'd like Rhaenyra to be recognizably Rhaenyra.

My one other concern is maintaining unceasing Anti-Daemon Aktion, which I hope to consistently vote for however and whenever possible.

Even if it explicitly isn't, playing Rhaenyra without playing Rhaenyra feels a little like cheating.
Yes, we could start with Rhaenyra as a warrior already- but I don't think she should be. (The only other person I'd consider would be someone patterned off of the Empress Matilda more explicitly).

Canon Rhaenyra is an arrogant fool. It's better for her to actually be a warrior if she wants to earn the approval of the Kingdoms, and this way she can duel Daemon and cut his head off herself, very satisfying and based.

I mean, the quest explicitly gives us the choice not to be Rhaenyra, so to speak. 2 out of three "personality" choices are not canon Rhaenyra. That is part and parcel of the entire conceit of the quest!

Also approval voting for

Doesn't it only register your latest post with a vote? So that would be changing your vote to Duty and Delight. I think...? Correct me if I'm wrong, but lest Hopeless Romantic loses a vote... :V

This would be true if she were a man, but she's not. But the relationship with Alicent aside, I do like the idea of a Rhaenyra who's constantly sort of rattling the bars of her cage and developing this building frustration with having to follow all these rules despite being a dragonrider and heir to the throne.

It's sort of true regardless. Going by the description, Warrior!Rhaenyra at least gets more respect than Scholar!Rhaenyra. Plus, Westeros has a warrior-centric feudal structure, very much based on the reputation of single lords and knights. The idea that you can genuinely bash respect into someone is... not without merit. At least, that is a more straight forward way to gain respect in such a society as Westeros than as a timid scholar.

Of course, the socially easiest route in this regard would be Delight of the Realm, canon, but eh, well, that's boring... and besides, she would would then always have male "protectors" who consequently would try to dominate her. And the general idea that vassals will rather follow a warrior who has proven his or her value on the battlefield holds true in general. Even if Men, of course, will have an easier time of that.

Also, hey. We are in the age of Sabitha Frey and Alysanne Blackwood.
