Question to you @I.F. Ister , what kind of Action Distribution is involved with generally settling my family down on the plot and getting it started up? Basic level security and self-sufficiency and whatnot? Would that be in the scope of a Passive or an Active move?

Stonelicker, would you be amenable to a scouting trip to the mountains on our northeast? I'm willing to house you until we clear up a spot in the stony places, and I really want some better rocks for my arrows.

Hopefully a clan player want to adopt Stonelicker since I can't imagine that he would surive alone. He is just a dude that loves stones, and only fighting method is chucking his beloved stones.

More people are always welcome in the family, IMO. So I'm down if you want to be related to Ragnarr.

Edit: Or gather up one or two other Independents and make a clan.

Alternatively, Bjorn Bjarneson canonically has two younger siblings and is a Proto-Paleantologist, so having a Proto-Geologist sibling sounds thematic.

The way I'm working it is that if you have to go out of your way to do something, it would be a major action. If it's just a casual thing, it's a passive. As long as you've got the materials/source of materials close at hand, it's a passive (each slot on the property map is roughly a mile squared).

0~0~0

I reckon that this is as good a spot as any to crack open the floodgates. I'll leave my helpers to handling the proper marking down on the property map, if they would be so willing.

With that said, Winter has arrived.

What do you do?

(You are still allowed to sort out property stuff, though upgrading is a bit iffy)

I mean, I've got an Education, so I think I'll know enough to have some decent deterrent Runes on my fence?

Is it one or two Passives per turn?

You could be Ragnarr's younger brother or something like that if you wanted. I think everyone is too young for you to be their son.

I would like that.

I don't know, I think I want to raise a runestone as the major action if allowed if not, sure.

I would like to join the clan @DeadmanwalkingXI
I would like if my Stonelicker is a son or a brother to someone, as very close-kin I would think would put up with his stone obssesion more.
You could be Moli's brother, either older or younger. He's a glass craftman in a world where glass is of limited value.

Clan:

Kare: Loves flying
Ragnarr: The Friendly One
Moli: Glass craftsman with occasional visions
Njal: Quiet guy who can absolutely go to murder
Harald: The farmer!

As many passives as you think would be reasonable for your character to get done in that time frame.

I see I see.

Is 1 PT of Hunting, 1 PT of a combat capable/focused Kunna, 1 PT of a detection related bloodline, and 1 PT of a Martial Style that blends that all together for an increased ability to detect and hunt things, enough that "Patrol around the Jungle and Hunt Things" is a passive action, or would that need to be a Major Action?

I'm planning on getting rid of that T-Rex wandering about near the settlement, would any terraformers be willing to help Liv set up a pit trap for me to lure it into? I'll repay you with your pick of either the teeth or the bones.

Great! I think I'd like to join a scouting party to explore the hills adjacent to my plot, one or two buddies would be ideal.

Passives though, I've already decided on.

[X] Rikard Villeson Actions: Turn 1 Winter:
-[X] Main Action: Explore the hills north of his claim seeking out Things of Use, especially metal but I'll take what I can get, Agmundr Idskapadr and Ragnarr Fair-Spoken have agreed to join in, as has Sigmund Sigurdsson and Amlóði Tooth taker. Given how the numbers have increased over time, we're willing to expand this to a general land and resource survey leading up to the mountains, though with increasingly care the closer to them we get.
-[X] Passive Actions
--[X] Establish Rikardsby, it's a modest plot but it's in prime real estate with plenty of room to expand nearby, this is going to be where the majority of his non-adventure time and attention is going into, making sure it's safe, secure, and most importantly, reasonably safe for his family to move into. Proper warded fence, dwellings, the works.
--[X] When he's in town and otherwise doing business, he'll be working on the local language, keeping tabs on the local gentleman and his son. Partially to make sure he's not being abused too badly, but also because the entire point was getting a guide here.
--[X] When he can, look into seeing if the native's spear has any useful properties.

I already promised to make Meat-Keeping Sticks, I think they should be a passive action since Grid is already literate and it's just some paint and sticks.

If anybody wants to join me to hunt for beasts in the jungle, I can use my Ice Kunna to freeze the blood and keep it fresh for the Seeress. This should also give us some meat for the winter and pacify nearby threats.

I'll hold of on my active action for a while in case somebody wants to join me.

[X] Grid Frostdottir Passive Actions
-[X] Use your literacy in the Norse language to fashion Meat-Keeping Sticks
-[X] Grabbing a Basic Lumber and Basic Vine Rope to to build a house on my land
-[X] Learn the local language of the natives
-[X] Create a Rune Compass with wood and paint to locate the Void Eagle
--[X] Craft a wooden circle and a wooden arrow and use a wooden stake to place the wooden arrow onto the wooden circle. Write the Rune's on the wooden arrow.
--[X] The inscription will be "Will point in the direction of an Eagle that has frost clinging to it's beak and has the ability to teleport, it's wings have been shredded"
-[X] Ask the Seeress if she can make a net with anti-teleportation seidr, Grid will give her fresh animal blood in the coming year for it
-[X] Create a Rune Wand with wood and paint
--[X] Craft a wooden wand and write the runes on it
--[X] The inscription will be "Increase the velocity of ice that is launched in front of this wand"

Until you've encountered, fought, and won against all the critters in these lands, it'll need to be a major action

When you say Pit-Trap, do you mean a literal hole in the ground, or a hole in the ground with stakes in it as well? If it's the latter, maybe I could have my character (if it's approved before this happens) carve some sort of sensory-enhancing runes into the tips of said stakes alongside maybe something like bloodletting-- so as to amplify an pain caused by the stakes and make said creature continue to bleed? As, if runes are powered by blood, and the stakes draw blood, then hopefully said blood would fuel the runes on the stakes to then draw even more blood from the creature?
