I will note that just killing people because we don't like them isn't necessarily nid. If we ran into this guy on the road and knew he killed Vesna's loved ones, the fact that what he did was legal would not make killing him nid. If we killed him under those circumstances, we'd owe weregild, maybe start a feud, maybe get outlawed, but all those are separate consequences from nid. Which wouldn't make doing it a good idea, but it's worth bearing in mind.

But he's our guest and has disarmed himself. That's the part that makes it nid.

You can't just kill people even if they're bad people, if they have disarmed themselves and are in your care. That's betrayal!

He's on thin fucking ice, but if he actually came here in truth then we aren't going to be the ones to break hospitality.

Other info from Discord: I asked IF the Berserk Grades of Jogrim and his people. Apparently Jogrim himself is a 3rd Grade Berserk and one of his men is 2nd Grade, with four others 1st Grade (leaving three non-Berserks).

Based on the Valley Power Ratings that likely means he and the 2nd Grade Berserk are likely at least Top, and the other four are at least Upper Middle. I'd suspect that all of them are at least Upper Middle in context. Most of our retainers who'd back us are similarly Upper Middle with Kare, Vagn, and Hakon at Lower Top, so we might have a quality advantage in a fight, but we shouldn't count on it.

I wonder why they're so heavy on the Berserks (that's 6/9)? Lots of money? Family connection to a Shapecrafter?

The first few shapecrafts are actually pretty cheap and highly cost-effective in terms of power if you pick 'Frenzy'.
