I'm more curious why the Drucchi diplomats are so popular, we already poked at them once and mostly know their proposals. If we want to trade with them, it probably will be via a regular action.

I guess I can understand wanting to get a bit more insight on their culture considering how rare the chance for imperials to hold a civilized conversation with Drucchi. But considering their known duplicitous nature, I wonder how useful social mingling would be compared to just getting some kind of agreement rolling and looking at their actions rather than just words.
I think it would be fun to read, and also that letting those assholes move unimpeded leaves the door open to being sucker punched by surprise. When being forced to leave near vipers, I'd rather know what they're doing.

Not sure why the Eike vote is so popular. It seems kind of out of nowhere to be honest. Was there a reason the thread wants to poke at her about gods, or is it just "we always like to do Eike social actions" and this one was available?

Poking at someone's religion is kind of a sensitive topic, even if it might be written so that Eike brings it up with Mathilde.
Personally, I'm voting for it because, as I mentioned in a previous comment, we know a lot about Eike, but I feel we don't really know her. I'd like to see her as more than just a statblock and traits and I feel a social action would help with that. The fact that the action is about her faith is incidental to me.

I will be forever perplexed by how watching tourism occur could be more popular than checking out the first known instance in history of Elves adopting a human god into their mandala.
Especially since can see tourist behavior any time we want to by taking Max along anywhere.

Well, it's not just watching tourists, it's watching tourists watch the empire, which can be quite anthropologically interesting.

I suppose so, but that would keep it open, which would defeat the purpose.
I may have jumped into this out of context, but the last thing i registered in conversation was how to keep the hole open so we can get inside requiring living thing, otherwise it would close. And plant being open solution to that.

Making a living ladder/staircase seems like an elegant solution to that.

Im sorry if it came outta the left field, i just quoted the most recent statement about the tear from you without reading any of the inbetween conversation.

Hunh, a thought: If you had a means to accelerate the reality-healing of the opening (Or were just very, very patient) could you drag the Liminal Realm around by moving its entrance? Or let the expansion heal halfway in the middle to give it multiple entrances, for that matter?

Not "bag of holding" style but more "Yes, I am going to spend however many months or years it takes getting this portal from point "a" to point "b."

I don't think the liminal realm moves to keep the hole centered when you widen the opening, you just get closer to the edge.

I'm in favor of trying to build up elvish knowledge and reputation before the elfcation, and for me that means:

[x] Swordplay
[x] Druchii Diplomats

Additionally, these are just important from the stance of keeping an eye on important things.

I want to check in on Okri, but I think it's the thing that's gotta give.

Wait, did we actually manage to put together all the necessary parts for a functioning Waystone?

Okri vote because I think that has been there a long time, and commando Ironbreakers sound radical as fuck.

Yes, we even have options for some of the bits. It is 100% Kludge, but they should work.

Speaking of that I think we need to use the coin on the action, this is not only very important for the project in general, but also some very high energy magic, the kind of thing one might need some luck with given all the variables.

Teclis: "In the abscence of Titan-metal, I see you used dwarf runework for the capstone. Very clever."

Mathilde: "Thank you loremaster."

T: "But what solution did you use for the foundations? My magesight can't quite make it out."

M: "That's because we used clockwork, there's no magic involved."

T: "I... see. Very clever. And how exactly did you figure out the commands to link it to the rest of the network?"

M: "Oh we never bothered with that. Instead we use this pouch of stones to shunt the entire package into a nearby river, which then drains out to sea."

T: "... what."

It became important rather quick when we started taking anti-Chaos lessons. Starke has questioned Mathilde on her faith and when she gave highly pious people as examples for her own piety he nodded and left but if she had not got a god at that point I am rather sure that he would assign her reading about gods untill she found one.

More to point We are her master it means we are literally designated person for Eike to teach sensitive shit like this stuff. It is not like she can go to her regular Shallayan priestess for guidance, as a Grey Wizard her experiences would be far too diverse.

More to point we are even assuming she wants to stay a Shallayan and won't get interested on other gods.

I mean, Morbs are pretty high energy magic too. Though I suppose that's more mechanical and might end up a waste.

Yes, but that's Starke's personal bias at play—he believes that everyone should be a Sigmarite to ward off the corrupting influence of the Chaos gods. It's hardly a typical stance across many magisters and lord magisters, and in fact is noted to be an unusual flaw within him that he is so devoted to a singular god. And it wasn't until after Mathilde had completed the anti-chaos training that he even broached the subject of faith with her.

I mean, we did it a bit to see they grew, maintaining that for a month with 8 stones is likely to be a bit more intense.

I think it was stated that it would only take a few days to grow the Morbs, and that most of the work would be building an apparatus to automate the process.
