The character sheets we've been given don't show Traits at all. Abjorn's doesn't have his, nor does Gabriel's...we found out about those in other ways.

You are right, now i remember.

I don't think they have much to trade and we likely don't have the spare food. To say nothing of it likely annoying the dwarves.

I meant in the future, when we have more goods and food to trade. Not this exact year.

And why the dwarves should be annoyed? I don't remember them hating the Swartalfs.

But if they don't like each other dosen't mean we can't trade with both.

This is becoming one of the most (if not THE most) debated votes in the entire Quest. Typicaly we can all agree on one Plan, or at least there is a clear majority. This time instead the votes seem evenly split.

It was not a criticism, i actualy like when the vote is more divided. Shows that people are invested in the Quest instead of just voting the first Plan they see without thinking.

Agreed entirely, I was mostly just noting that this was not the closest a vote has ever been. I'd have to check if they had quite this many votes, but we've had several times when things were decided by a single vote and there were a fairly significant number of total votes.

We're expendable, not deniable.

Technically, I think we're semi-deniable inasmuch as he can always claim we went against his orders in terms of the details and be believed. But we're allowed to say we work for him.

Also, just FYI, you (along with a couple of other people) are voting for an obsolete version of the plan. You probably want to change the wording to Alectai's to get counted with everyone else for sure.

Not to sound rude but I have to ask the people voting to continue the fight how we're supposed to beat this knight when even Halla herself figured she'd have trouble fighting him. Like tactics make up a lot in these kinds of fights but the only thing I can see happening is another Hooknails situation.

It's probably not quite that bad, IF did say Halla thought we could take him. Though I suspect it'll be tricky. He's extremely durable and getting grabbed by plants is an issue.

Oof.

Hope for luck then...

We can use Reward Dice to tip the scales. And likely will for at least Vagn.

Like I made mention earlier. We are not here for the knights, so killing Louis would not be the ultimate goal. We are here for Lord Tobias. As such we can focus on surviving the experience while giving our kill squad time to take over the castle. That opens up some options.

they aren't all possessed or able to predict us. it was the squire, not Louis. now, its still a knight, fifth decade, and not an easy oppoent. but we should be able to take him. I also asked IF and he said Halla thinks she can beat him, though it won't be an easy fight.

But we will never advance if we shy away from every fight that is not an easy and assured victory. if we turn away from any danger, are we even really norse? we can take him

we are not in any major risk for survival here. we were at the beginning of the fight, but even then we were unlikely to lose given our forces and theirs. now we are greatly winning and have kinda ensured our advantage. plus, part of the reason for mercenary work was earning Orthstirr. defeating a knight in a duel will give us a good deal of it. without any unreasonable risk, nothing more then fighting an equal opponent.
about that, @Imperial Fister I assume Louis won't be strong enough for punching up?

If doing this, we shouldn't fight him at all. The only real reason to do that is for the Orthstirr and any achievement bonuses and 'surviving' won't get us much of that. Also, per IF on Discord, the castle has gone quiet and we can tell Abjorn's alive (through the marriage oath), so things are done in there one way or another.

Like, if we're fighting Louis, we're trying to beat him for the glory of doing so. There's no other remotely good reason to fight him.

IF noted we could probably take him with some difficulty earlier. Also, he's getting the same bonus on dueling as our kinsman, who was stated as around Halla's power level. So we're definitely roughly on par, though he has some fire resistance, which isn't great.
