So, simple plan here:

[X] Plan Get Him!
-[X] 156d6 Attack (156d6 tricks)
-[X] 0d6 Defense (0d6 tricks)
-[X] 0d6 Intercept
-[X] Activate Slipstream (-8 Orthstirr) and Ember-Wing Cloak (-6 Orthstirr, all attacks and defenses have the Skyfire bonus) and stay as far out of its reach as we can arrange.
-[X] Start with a 100d6+5 (w/Hugareida) 3Fold Sparkbomb attack from our Fast w/Puncture (-27 Orthstirr) and follow it up with a 40d6+5 3Fold Kindle Spinner from our Fast w/Puncture (-27 Orthstirr), and then two 40d6 (w/Hugareida) Orthstirr-Enhanced x28 Sparkbombs w/Puncture (-52 Orthstirr each).
-[X] Just use Halting Vortex (-4 Orthstirr) against anything he throws at us, or, if that isn't viable, Sidestep (-2 Orthstirr), or Backstep for an AoE (-6 Orthstirr). Don't even use our Sword Guards for this unless something somehow gets by the Perfects
-[X] Burn a Calm Charge and stoke Frami again if we go below 100 Orthstirr (+202 Orthstirr), and do so again to stoke Virthing if it happens again (+201 Orthstirr).
-[X] Tactics – Rely on our Perfect defenses against him, attack with our biggest attacks early and often. He's trapped, so even Sparkbomb ought to be able to hit pretty readily, and I see no reason we shouldn't take advantage of that or take risks.

He does still have a huge dice pool, so we can't ignore dice on attacks completely...but he has to split it among everyone if he wants defenses.

Sooo

Just spam Perfects and hit him with a shitton of Puncture attacks? I think we can just, get into melee and finish him up fast.

I gotta say I love Vagn's spectral unicycle cavalry attack.

It failed miserably, but it failed miserably with style.

I don't think we need to stay out of his range. We can just Focus Guard or Halting Vortex any incoming attacks if he doesn't know puncture. Being in melee is more glorious.

It feels like this might have been winnable as a solo boss fight after all? Which makes sense to me, because it felt really odd that @Imperial Fister would have put in an insta-death option without telegraphing it at all.

Like, the threat effectively would have been "avoid getting completely rag-dolled in Round One before you realise he has no counter to Puncture or Perfect Defences". Which there's a significant risk would have ended up with us getting hit by the oncoming train that was his dice pool... or he might just have run face-first into a Halting Vortex.

Anyway, yeah, as the kids say, let's get his ass.

[X] Plan: FUCK 'EM UP!
-[X] Slipstream and EWC active, as per usual (-14 Orthstirr)
-[X] Dart in with a 35x Sharpened, Lightning-Powered Flashfire Cleave with Puncture (30d6 + 70d6 (35x Sharpens) + 1d6 (Skyfire), total of 101d6 + 5 (Frenzy) 67 Orthstirr cost total) Attempt to land behind him while he's stuck to the ground by the glue
-[X] Then, use our Folded, Punctured IAT on him from that position, to keep him in place (26d6+5 x3, total of 27 Orthstirr)
-[X] Finally, deliver a Palm-Crush Trick with Puncture (30d6 + 50d6 Extra Orthstirr, total of 80d6+5 for 56 Orthstirr), on the moment of contact, unleash the Folded Sparkbombs from our Fast directly into him through that palm strike, each enhanced with Puncture (70d6+5 x3 for a total of 27 extra Orthstirr)
-[X] Use Perfect Defenses as necessary to defend ourselves, whatever is most appropriate for what we're trying to do. It's not like he can do anything about them! Draw on Sagaseeker's Aspects and our Armor's reserves as required.
-[X] If he's still alive after this and manages to take a swipe at us, use Contested Movement boosted by all three activations of Fight of your Life and any remaining Stoked Dice (3 Orthstirr) in order to nail him with a Punctured, Knee-Groin Trick enhanced with Firebomb Strike to ruin his life and also hurl him into something scary if we can. (13 Orthstirr total, auto-hits)

The story writes itself at this point, a child born of a great lineage, who's never had to work more than the skills he was handed from birth, and is utterly outclassed by someone who took the time to learn and challenge themselves.

Classic story for the written world of the Norse.

The core of my plan is simple.

Get in close with Flashfire Cleave, land behind him where he can't easily reach us, make it even harder for him to react with Mire Ward, which should compound with the glue to give him little to no leverage and delay any reactive Shapeshifting, and then use Palm-Crush for the sole purpose of getting a hand on him to achieve Zero Distance.

Then we unleash the Folded Sparkbombs.

EDIT: On a good suggestion, I changed it to unleash our Folded IATs instead.

Okay, yeah, that's cooler than mine. Vote changed:

[X] Plan: FUCK 'EM UP!

One note:

The Contested Movement costs 3 Orthstirr, and should also add the remaining Stoker State dice.

Mireward would affect our allies, so we should not do this. Just Puncture IAT him, if he doesn't know Puncture he's just fucked.

Still dodgable, though, he does have dice.

[X] Plan: FUCK 'EM UP!
-[X] Slipstream and EWC active, as per usual (-14 Orthstirr)
-[X] Dart in with a 5x Sharpened, Lightning-Powered Flashfire Cleave with Puncture (30d6 + 10d6 (5x Sharpens) + 1d6 (Skyfire), total of 41d6 + 5 (Frenzy) 22 Orthstirr cost total) Attempt to land behind him while he's stuck to the ground by the glue
-[X] Then, trigger Mire Ward (6 Orthstirr) to prevent him from easily escaping or turning.
-[X] Finally, deliver a Palm-Crush Trick with Puncture (30d6 + 30d6 Extra Orthstirr, total of 60d6 for 46 Orthstirr), on the moment of contact, unleash the Folded Sparkbombs from our Fast directly into him through that palm strike, each enhanced with Puncture (96d6 x3 for a total of 27 extra Orthstirr)
-[X] Use Perfect Defenses as necessary to defend ourselves, whatever is most appropriate for what we're trying to do. It's not like he can do anything about them! Draw on Sagaseeker and our Armor's reserves as required.
-[X] If he's still alive after this and manages to take a swipe at us, use Contested Movement boosted by all three activations of Fight of your Life (2 Orthstirr) in order to nail him with a Punctured, Sharpened, Lightning-Enhanced Skewer-Flick Trick to throw him into something scary (17 Orthstirr, auto-hit on success)

So, I really like how this sorta tells a story, the way you've described it is very visual, and the putting in a Sparkbomb through a Palm-Crush Trick is really cool.

I'd like to vote for this, but I think we need to put like, probably... between thirty and fifty Orthstirr onto the FFC and the Palm Crush? I would aim to have both at 100d6 to be sure. We still need to get past his basic defences, and even if he's not putting much into defence, he rolls a ton of dice for everything.

Like, he's definitely a big dumb idiot, but he's still a big dumb idiot. He could be rolling in 60d6 or 80d6 for his defence even without dedicating much to it at all, proportionate to what we know he rolled for that attack.

EDIT: Outdated because we're now doing KGT, but still, I think we want lotsa dice here.

Most of last turn didn't end up happening, because the Round Break happened when we glued him to the ground. Which was our first move

Fair, I was just reading off of the sheet at the end of the update and there Saga has all of nothing
