You do know a Berserk. Stigulf Snowbeard, Stigr's eldest brother.

He's around, right? Would talking with him about it require a Social or a Research Action?

Anyway, babies! I think we want to rig this one with Reward Dice rather than Hamingja, because we've got a ton of Reward Dice stocked up at this point. I kind of want to get this guy set up as our home-maker and general 'Town Mayor', and he has an unfair advantage by way of being an only child from this batch, so we can afford to rig hard against things like Bloodthirst and Wanderlust.

[X] Name it "Ashen Kiss"

[X] (Fourth Born) Good At Everything
-[X] Lock in Godly Luck with Muna
-[X] Lock in Seeing Eyes with 1 Hamingja
-[X] Add 2 Reward Dice to Giant's Blood courtesy of @DeadmanwalkingXI
-[X] Add 1 Reward Die to Snake's Tongue courtesy of @DeadmanwalkingXI
-[X] Add 1 Reward Die to Snake's Tongue courtesy of @Toboe
-[X] Add 2 Reward Dice to Friendly courtesy of @Dromuthra
-[X] Add 1 Reward Die to not getting Bloodlust courtesy of @Alectai
-[X] Add 1 Reward Die to not getting Wrathful courtesy of @Exmorri

This is the plan for our current child to take after our current crop. Some other kind soul would need to invest a single Reward Die to ensure Snake's Tongue, but I'm sure someone will step up to the plate. Other Reward dice could lock in (or lock out) other stuff as people wished.

EDIT:

[X] (Fourth Born) Commanding Presence
-[X] Lock in Godly Luck with Muna
-[X] Lock in Seeing Eyes with 1 Hamingja
-[X] Lock in Leader with 1 Hamingja
-[X] Add 2 Reward Dice to Giant's Blood courtesy of @DeadmanwalkingXI
-[X] Add 1 Reward Die to Snake's Tongue courtesy of @DeadmanwalkingXI
-[X] Add 1 Reward Die to Snake's Tongue courtesy of @Toboe
-[X] Add 2 Reward Dice to Friendly courtesy of @Dromuthra
-[X] Add 1 Reward Die to not getting Bloodlust courtesy of @Alectai
-[X] Add 1 Reward Die to not getting Wrathful courtesy of @Exmorri

This is the alternative for if we want the kid to also have Leader. As we likely do, but the Hamingja cost hurts me, so I'm voting for both versions.

[X] Plan Berserker Life Advice

--[X] Ask for training in how to control your rage as a berserker (and how that works and so on)
-[X] (Personal) Spend time with... (and again)
--[X] Tryggr and Trausti
--[X] Invite them to spar with the rest of us and generally hang out

--[X] Try to bring additional useful mundane plants into our soulscape with our Fylgja, as well as a fertilized chicken egg 1d6

--[X] 2 Orthstirr to Fylgja
---[X] 3 Command
--[X] 1 First Impression
--[X] 222 free for tricks

Alright so, there's the plan. Putting off gaining Training Dice is always bad (especially when our Hamingja is dropping, even if only slightly), and we want Mail pretty badly as well, and, well, this is how we get those things. We may get other stuff from the dwarves as well.

One research topic still undefined...I'm not sure what to do there, honestly. Maybe try awakening Aki if he's amenable and that isn't a social? That feels like a social, though. Other than that, we continue progress on various stuff, start learning how to forge an Atgeir (we may or may not let Sten reforge Sagaseeker, but we want to know how), and invest some dice into boosting Hugr.

EDIT: A good point has been made that we should get advice from Stigulf about being a berserker, so we'll make Mail next turn. We'll still acquire the materials this turn so it's only one action then.

@DeadmanwalkingXI , is there any conceivable way we can shake loose a Social to talk with Stigulf? Getting a handle on the Berserk Lifestyle seems to be really important. Especially before the next time we get into a fight. Doubly so as it may be gating our ability to raise our Hugr further if 'Triggering a Frenzy' is a side-effect of raising it.

Oh yeah, also, @Imperial Fister, spending my Reward Dice to lock out Bloodthirst on our Fourthborn. I really want this guy to be our Harvest Moon Simulator dude to hold down the fort while the rest of our murderkittens go on adventures.

We should try storing stuff in our soulscape (inexpensive stuff like some building materials, food, fodder).
If we can: Try to build stuff in our soulscape. (Soul Workshop! Soul Warehouse)
Also plant one food and fodder plant.
Would be useful for someone going on travels to have that as a reserve.

I mean, if we're willing to put off making ourselves Mail, sure. I'm down for that if people prefer it. In that case, we might want to talk with Aki about awakening as well, and I'll rename the plan...we'd do armor and probably some investigating Horra next turn.

I think this was a hint to invest Odr during the actual creation process.

@DeadmanwalkingXI Think it'd be worth trying this out on the armor?

Sure, I'm down if we stick with making armor.

Wouldn't training with Stigulf also be getting Training Dice though?

Who else has Reward Dice! We have a rare opportunity to hand-mold our guy into the Ideal Jarl!

Rechecking Character sheet I now found the entry for Frenzy.
Frenzy: (1/1) (+1 to all Combat Rolls)
Hugr: (6) | Infusion Rank: (1)
So it probably is 1 Frenzy capacity per Hugr Infusion rank.

Are you sure we want to start with a low Orthstirr person?

Also, telling people about it might trigger The Enemy Reaction, I'd note.

Getting Mail and getting a handle on Berserk, plus a strongpoint to fight in, that should be our short-term goals I think, now that we've locked down a way to initiate people.

Nice.

@Drieder ! You've got a lot of Reward Dice! You want to help us mold the Fourth Murderkitten into our Harvest Moon Simulator character? Just stack him hilariously hard for being the perfect Jarl?

Maybe we should start planning what we would want our Harvest Moon heir (considering the setting and its fighting... maybe Rune Factory would be the better comparison?) to be like and then see how many reward die holder we can get onboard?

Anyway, here's the Wishlist for Noblekitten.

1) Lock out Bloodthirst and Wanderlust. (Already locked-out Bloodthirst, Wanderlust should get a die as well just to be safe, but this isn't mandatory)
2) Lock In the Basics (Deadman has got us covered, we need 1 more for Snake's Tongue though)
3) Lock in Friendly and Leader (2 Dice needed for Friendly, 2 or more for Leader)
4) Lock In Prosperous (2+ Dice)
5) Lock out Wrathful (1 die should do it)

Just re-checking, does just one Reward Die lock in a Recessive Trait, or do we need two? And what do we need to lock stuff out?

Basically, what we want is to lock out Bloodlust and Wanderlust, Lock in the Basics, and grab Leader, Friendly, and Prosperous. Everything else from there is mostly flavor because the worst stuff has been locked out by now.

EDIT: Our priority is to accumulate 3 Dice, 2 to lock in Friendly, and 1 to lock out Wrathful. With this, we get a character who can either set up our Home Base while our other characters go adventuring, or he can go and establish a Trade League to push our influence across the region. Either way, we're in a good boat.

Renamed plan to reflect the fact we aren't actually making armor, but asking Stigulf for advice. Unchanged except for that one action (we'll do the actual creation next turn).

And I'm down for whatever wacky stuff people want to put on this kid as long as we do it with Reward dice and someone puts 1 into Snake's Tongue.

1) Lock out Bloodthirst and Wanderlust. (1 Reward Die locks out Bloodthirst, might need a second since it's being poured on from both ends, Wanderlust is low probability but not zero, 1 reward dice should be enough.)
2) Lock In the Basics (Deadman has got us covered, we need 1 more for Snake's Tongue though)
3) Lock in Leader and Friendly (Friendly should be fine with 1 Reward Die, Leader might need 2)
4) Lock in Prosperous (Recessive, might need 2)

Locking things in is 2 Reward Dice (one die gives good odds...I think 7/9 or so, but not certainty)...I'm not sure it works on Recessives at all. Those might need Hamingja. Locking out is probably only one Reward die from what we know, though.

Are we able to put Reward Dice into pulling Recessives in then @Imperial Fister ? Or is that Hamingja only.

Because grabbing Leader and Prosperous will make Noblekitten into an absolute domain building beast, especially if we can have Jarlsoul unlocked by the time he grows up.

Wait a second, what am I talking about?

Recessives aren't hamingja only, what the heck was I thinking???

My bad, sorry.
