-Shatter-Wrist Trick (Cost 1): A trick that's aimed at a shield that's meant to break the wrist holding it. (Mastery: 80/81)

It might be worth throwing a dice at this just to finish off Mastery?

I'm all for it, just not sure I want Halla to outright confess.
I'd rather savor the drama of teenage love.

Halla is a very direct girl and explicitly has the Bold trait, I don't see her being wishy-washy here. There's still plenty of potential for drama, I think. He might say no, after all...or he might say yes but have issues with Halla continuing to outshine him as a warrior (he hasn't killed anyone yet and probably feels he didn't do as well at the battle they were both part of...Halla feels differently on that second one, obviously), and that's just one example that leaps to mind immediately. Lots of stuff there even if they do start officially courting.

Mastery counts down, not up, we're 80 successes away from Mastery. Look how all the others are at 81/81. It is a tad confusing, though, so maybe that should be changed?

I just realized that Mastery counting down is rather misleading, lemme go fix that.

edit: Fixed

[X] Plan More Witchcraft And Feelings (but without the Witch)

I am a simple man, I see dice towards poetry, I vote.

[X] Plan: A good warrior prepares carefully.
-[X] (Seasonal) Help prepare the yearly offering to the gods.
-[X] (Personal) Ask Randi to tell you some stories
--[X] as Randi for advice on poetry and boys
-[X] (Visit) Go visit...
--[X] Runby, Aki's Farm
-[X] (Training) Hugr (7 successes to rank up)
--[X]Train Poetry 4d6
---[X] topic: how cool her friends are
-[X] (Orthstirr Usage)
--[X] 4 Hamr
--[X] 4 Hugr
--[X] 2 Silver-Tongue
--[X] 1 free for tricks

If Aki becomes our friend, he might have good tips on fylgja training.
For Training, I did a bit more math, and the average number of successes is actually highest on only a single die (which averages one success...each die averages more like .83 otherwise...I can go into the math if people care). This won't raise anything quickly, and is more likely to result in specific things not raising, but it'll potentially raise several different things and we don't have a lot of dice anyway. The specific choices are all 2 successes or less needed, and I think we should get fylgja to at least 3 and Command to at least 1, while the other two have sort of been languishing.
How does one die average one success?
1/3 fail
1/3 success
1/3 super success
do you go
fail = 0
success= 1
super success=2
?

I'm all for it, just not sure I want Halla to outright confess.

Vote with me and you get a teen-girl awkwardly asking questions.
And, if the dice don't screw us over hard next turn she could make her first real poem to court Abjorn.

Simple man, I offer to you: More dice towards poetry!

1/3 fail
1/3 success
1/3 super success
do you go
fail = 0
success= 1
super success=2
?

That's exactly how it works on Training with a single die, yes. For multiple dice, the fail is actually -1 Successes, which would make the average on multiple dice 2/3, but a net 0 still results in 1 success towards progression, so it winds up a little better than that. Still less successes average than a single die, though.

Oh that explains why I was very confused about our Mastery of our other tricks!

What's really interesting about the Morrigan is that she's also a fate/destiny goddess, and as a Three-in-One is a parallel of the Norns. So like, do multiple fate gods govern multiple people's fates? How does that work when the Celts and Norse go to war? Interesting stuff.
Neither Morrigan nor Norns take orders from their pantheon. They do their inscrutable things

Heh. So much for an owl endearing us to the witch. Instead, she just wants us.

Worst case scenario, we're at least gonna get a point in Nut-Cracker.

See? I told you Fister is evil! :V

Joke aside, interesting.....
So, all the gods... are.... alive....
...
Greece is forbidden unless we are on a male descendant.

On the morrigan vs norms, my money is on them making bets to decide who lives and who died when their people clash.

A pity about the witch, but I guess we just got to bring an offering to her that isn't our fyjgla.

Is fine.... Even though I want the meteor...
Not much for romance, personally, but eh, whatever.

I'm down for looking for the meteor, but it competes with visiting Aki and given the issues with the Witch I think we need to have a chat with him soon. Maybe next turn.

on the contrary, I can think of several greek gods who deserve to experience the Knee-Groin trick.

That assumes we can take them, which is a hell of an assumption.

Sure, they have it coming, but we will die afterwards or worse.
Unless we become a god ourselves, and even then, it's iffy.

But on the other hand, Amazon's and all the woman exclusive stuff....
Hmmmm..,. Gotta grow for that though.

So, who wants to spar with our dear brother? :V

When a Celtic warrior and a Viking meet in battle, who determines the outcome? Do both the Morrigan and the Norns perceive parts of the greater tapestry of fate and are thus infallible? Do each determine the fate of their respective warriors?
I don't think they have as much agency in matters of fate as that implies. They can reveal or hint, but I don't think they can be swayed?

Kinda hoping we fail at poetry again and can drop it, though.
