Yeah but we can at least get skips on it now, put Izzy on Diplo and Hank on Stewardship. We can also use Skips on Martial and Hex on the the Ice Cream Men, as Father's +10 makes it so a lot more characters can attempt low DC actions.

I value the increased dosh we get from keeping things proprietary much more than a boost in government relations. We already got the big prize in the form of the deal we made with them, I'm not really seeing what a further boost in opinion might grant us. And I'm quite happy with the gov not getting stronger, given the only reason they tolerate our existence is because they're relatively weak and have other problems they need to throw themselves at.

Eh. The feds having acess to Gem Tech would not prevent us from selling it, i'd think. It would, however, help in the war effort without us having to spend another action.

Without some short-term thinking, we'll have a harder long-term. Basically, I see no major downside of sharing our tech with the feds in particular. Anyone else, not so much.

I'm fairly sure the implication of there even being two options is that they're mildly mutually exclusive. We give it to the military and we drastically lower whatever profits we could get out of it. And there's not even a noted increase to opinion attached, that'd be a side benefit at best since the main benefit is the government would be able to combat gems easier.

If we make more money then we'd have more money to pay as taxes to the government so really, if you think about it, this is the option that best helps the US military fight the Gems. After all, the Government can always buy gemtech weapons from us with the money they'll be getting from taxes.
