FATHER QUEST - A Cartoon Network: Villains Victorious CK2-Style Quest Cross Over

The immediate BURNING rage has left me. And now I can plan to rationally turn those boneheads to cinders.

Anyways, with the Tinker with Sir Toasty option I was worried Father's anger would go down, I don't think that's gonna be an issue anymore.

Does anyone feel like turning away from the gems up north to crush whoever this Professor Impossible nobody is. Then move on to being... how did they put it... Unlimited Nonlethal Hostile. And I'm not picky about nonlethal. Spend a turn settling our pows or letting XXXL do some snow cone action, and turn towards increasing our martial to deal with the Guild and eventually Jasper.

By the by, who's Professor Impossible?

Ha. Haha. Hahahaha!

Gonna have to burn them enough that they get the hint not to poke us. Unfortunately, we've got some KND brats to deal with first. The Guild's time is coming, though.

Give them free reign to harass, provoke, and menace the people who make all of our lives more annoying. Mandark, Mandy, and the worst of the bunch. That child-obsessed pyromaniac freak Father
What part of "easier ways to commit suicide" did you not understand butterfly boy! You want to pick a fight now? When we just critfailed? Fool!

Alright, let's not lose our heads over this. It's annoying, to be sure, but if we handle this delicately we can turn this to our advantage. Getting an arch isn't the worst thing in the world, we can be pretty sure that Impossible's going to play by guild rules, at least for now.

Declaring war on the guild is the worst possible move we could make at the moment. We're surrounded by actors that are difficult to ally with at best and outright hostile at worst, if we can keep this to the usual sort of pissing match most arches go through this might not be nearly as bad as it first appears. Thinking for the future, we're going to need all the allies we could possibly get against some of the larger existential threats, and while the Guild is annoying and difficult if not impossible to work with in good faith, I'd much rather deal with them than someone like Black Hat.

For those who want to crush Impossible and the Guild, and those who wish to turn this to our advantage, possibly via recruiting Impossible himself, I propose a solution, a compromise.

Now if you will, please take a look at Father's character sheet...
I am MOST dissatisfied: Father doesn't tolerate failure, and he always comes back. After a crit fail, Father gains +10 to whatever stat the crit fail was in. This lasts the subsequent turn after the failure before ending.

Fiery Temper: +5 to Diplomacy Rolls against targets that have also been the target of successful Martial Actions the turn prior.

Feel the Heat: +5 to Martial actions when personally fighting; -5 to Martial actions instead when fighting enemies utilizing cryo or cold weaponry.
What if we simply crush Professor Impossible, and then the following turn, try and recruit him?

Father 'playing villain' with Impossible could be good character development. Both ways, even. See how the world has changed first hand, see how slightly more modern villainy compared to Father's history works from Impossible.

He's kind of wasting his potential so recruiting him and getting him back into shape could be a really solid hero unit.

Gods, looking at Father (uncloaked) side by side with Impossible. Accounting for style differences it's actually odd how much alike they look. Maybe Father has a bigger nose and chin but that's about it. Crazy stuff.

Hrm. They are trying to poke us into picking a path. I say we make an example out of the cretin. Reed Richard's is useless, even as a expy! It's time to *Burn rubber*

God I love this, the Monarch is the first person to actually make a big boy move against the other Supervillains in America.

Mandark, Mandy and Father are the big ones, Boxman likely isn't since he plays nice with the Guild (I don't think he is a member as much just sells to em), Eddy and Chris also could be getting hit.

I don't want to commit Supervillain War just yet, both because it will be hard and more over, Impossible is a nice little bonus by giving Father a new person to beat the crap out of.

We should channel the rage boost Father gets from this with Sir Toasy and our new warship to finish cleaning up the gems next turn to recover our PR.

I don't think they go for Eddy as his big thing is well sell everything to everyone. I don't think they even really think him a villain.

TBF we won't be able to finish for a while, but yeah I'm down for fighting gems. The Crit Fail Bonus means we Auto-Pass with both Skips and Toiletnator, allowing us to do say
Skips Martial
Izzy Diplo
Hank Stewardship
B&W Intrigue
Hex Occult

Remember that the Guild is also targeting the other american kings. While Impossible's likely to be annoying, We're better poised to benefit from this than most of our compeditors.

I think we might be hitting Blistering Anger next turn, probably not Burning Rage, but depending on how bad the lawn mowing went it might not be entirely off the table. Either way we just got a +10 to martial next turn so we should use it on someone.

To any other character then I would consider this to be annoying, but considering Father is Father... I think this would only be beneficial for us. Giving Father an outlet where he can 'Play' his villainy.

So, I am in the camp of keeping the status quo. We don't recruit him or destroy him. Just let him be our 'Nemesis' ala Doof and Perry.

I'm not sure how efficient/possible recruiting him would be, but I'm in favor of playing ball for now. I'd be very surprised if we couldn't get a stat boost or two out of this, and besides, we'd both be in a mess of trouble if we kill the other. Negotiating details of the arching contract might be a possibility- @HellaCooltricks @Tadpoleon would we be able to do this through a personal action, or if we're not privy to how that works in character, have a chance to look up the information? Was there anything included in our orientation video?

For the most part, currently, no. Father and you as a players lack the current lines of communication. You haven't really even made proper contact with the guild. The orientation video mostly just introduced you to your Arch and explained what was going to happen.
